I adore making muffins and quick breads. Here in japan, all they sell in most supermarkets is white balloon bread...yuck.
I don't have a bread machine and yeast is just too much time and effort...I am all about the quick pay-off! This book is just amazing. It has every possible combination of ingredients for not only muffins and quick breads but waffles, scones and popovers, sweet and savory. A few of them are kind of...huh?
For example, I don't see myself making lettuce bread any time soon. However, the possibilities are endless and many of the recipes come with interesting spreads and sauces to serve with them. Out of print but highly recommended if you can track it down!

The varieties are exceptional and as with most quick bread, the majority of recipes are easy. The variations on recipes give great ideas for blending flavors. We have enjoyed the recipes and experimenting with our own variations.

This is an enormous book of muffin, biscuit, donut, coffee cake, etc. recipes. To get to such an impressive count, there are some really different recipes including Shrimp Muffins and Beer Muffins, just to name a few. The recipes are simple and straightforward and presented alphabetically.

I was expecting at least a few more healthy recipes but these are mostly loaded with sugar and fat.
