Ten years ago, Rapier Dryer sent his mate away. The plan was to meet up later and find a new home, however, Raymond Quincy had other plans for them. What should’ve been months turned into years, and now, Rapier’s in a race against time to save Jasmine once more.

Jasmine Dryer knew the risks of splitting up. At five months pregnant, they thought it was the best chance to save their family. A decade later, she’s no longer running. She’s willing to stand her ground with her mate and face off against the one man who could single-handedly destroy everything.

Together they’ll forge an alliance with the Raferty Pack, determined to rebuild all they’ve already lost. There’s strength in numbers, and Rapier and Jasmine are willing to use that strength to keep their family safe. However, when people start dying and Raymond escapes prison, the tenuous bonds between Rapier and Jasmine are tested.

This epic battle has been brewing for years. Rapier’s prepared to end it once and for all—but then their twins, Bell and Zoe, are kidnapped.

And the man who has them is out for Rapier’s blood as well.

Rapier is the third book in the Apache County Shifters Series. In this one Rapier brings home his mate, Jasmine and his twin cubs, Zoe and Bell, along with Jasmine’s sister, Jenna. Rapier has been separated from Jasmine for 10 years because of the threat from Raymond Quincy. He tries to make up for lost time and and these two end up in the bedroom a lot of the book. When they’re not in the bedroom they are getting threats from Quincy through members of his pack. There is lots of Kalkin and his a hole self...I just love him. The threats get serious and Rapier and his lion are out for blood.

What can be said about TL and Michele's stories other than you get sucked in and left wanting more. The steamy romance balanced with suspense and drama. Rapier and Jasmine are mates who separated for ten years to protect their family. They are able to reunite but the story is far from over. All the characters are easy to care about, the plot moves rapidly and the description is so vivid you have no trouble watching play out in your mind. I highly recommend this book and series. You don't have to start with book one to follow the plot but you will want to read the other books in this series.

Rapier (Lion) is Alpha of the Dryer Pride and mate to Jasmine. He’s also owner of Dryer Construction.

Ten years ago….he’d finally been in a good place to start over in his life with a family filled with love and hope when everything went drastically wrong and he lost it all. He had hurriedly rushed to the house to get Jasmine to safety, knowing instinctively, if Raymond Quincy discovered Jasmine was pregnant, she’d be murdered without remorse.

Their relationship wasn’t necessarily a whirlwind romance. He’d pursued her with a singleminded purpose. She was in fact a panther, and wore glasses as she worked in the human world. She didn’t need the glasses, but for whatever reason, she always wore them. Something about blending in with the natives. Not everyone accepted shifters.

He thought she’d been adorable. She called him a tom cat.

He’d valiantly chased after her for a good year, hoping he’d get another glimpse of the sleek panther invading his dreams. When she finally gave into him and agreed to have dinner with him, he’d tracked her down where she worked, at the local library—a place he’d have never really thought of, had Wy not spotted her there. She’d been sitting behind the counter checking in books. He’d caught a glimpse of pink, turquoise, and purple streaks underneath her raven-coloured hair.

He hadn’t considered getting her pregnant, taking for granted the idea he’d finally found someone to love him but he hadn’t taken the time to think.
He certainly hadn’t grasped the ramifications of being in close proximity to Quincy land nor helping someone (Mackenzie) whom Raymond obviously didn’t believe deserved to live. The plan had been to meet up later and find a new home, however, Raymond Quincy thwarted that and what should have been mere months turned into years.

Their first heat, after their initial meeting, had been intense, before they’d had the chance to gradually settle into a life together, Jasmine was pregnant.

Finally, Rapier found himself a place to call home and a mate. A few weeks later, they stumbled upon a broken and battered man lying in the middle of the desert highway.
He had no identification or money. He’d been beaten beyond recognition. The only distinguishing mark had been a scarred patch on his arm. The thick, webbed skin had been puckered, as if someone took a knife and cut the section of flesh from his body.
Mackenzie Raferty. After three days of Saber and Cormyr taking care of the man, he finally regained consciousness. What he’d said hadn’t made any sense, though he shifted a few times, it wouldn’t heal him instantly. He had head trauma, besides being completely malnourished. No matter how many times he shifted, the marred skin on his arm never completely returned healed. No fur would grow there.

Jasmine’s been on her own with only her sister Jenna and her girls Zoe and Belle as company, without any contact from Rapier.

Beside him, his best friend, Osirus Blake, held onto the paper with the written instructions. His brother hadn’t uttered a word since they left the house early in the morning after Keeley rang.

Her sister, Jenna, is the exact opposite of her, having worked through the ranks to become a SWAT officer. The b*tch, and he used the term affectionately, because she was one of the baddest b*tches he knew and respected, could take down a man at two thousand metres without blinking an eye. Rapier finally reunites and brings them home, courtesy of Keeley, instrumental in their recovery.

Unfortunately Keeley and Danielle make an impromptu welcoming visit and are greeted with overt hostility from Jasmine.

Starved of intimacy, these two expended a great deal of energy making up for lost time. He should have made the time to acquaint her with the new pecking order (they’re no longer a Pride), and that he’d sworn his allegiance to the Raferty Pack. Kalkin and himself joined forces to defeat Quincy.
Kalkin wants to handle matters legally being the Sheriff of Apache County and Alpha of his wolf pack. Rapier is the alpha pride leader and co-alpha of the mixed pack and he wants to simply free his lion to rip Quincy to shreds for his loss and his pride for the last decade.

Rapier and his group of brothers were orphans, only Cormyr, he and Saber shared blood since they were biological siblings, same mum, different dads. Then Rashid. He met Osirus in high school and then one day, the runt, Wy, showed up looking for food. Damn pup wouldn’t go away so they had to keep him.

Their mother, they learnt, had been raped twice. After she birthed both of them, she walked off. Saber and he had been loners for their most formative years. He guessed it was why he cared for Tate and Henry like he did. No child, shifter or human, should have to raise themselves without love or a place to call home, which made their family meeting all the more important.

Forging an alliance with the Raferty Pack, they’re determined to rebuild all they’d already lost. Then people start dying and Raymond escapes.

The man who has his daughter is intent on meting out his version of revenge.

Rapier finds Danielle and Caden’s relationship relatable because they reminded him of Jasmine and himself. Whereas, Jasmine did everything to keep people at a distance due to her being a shifter, Danielle was simply distrustful. Caden and himself on the other hand were a lot more alike than he cared to admit.

Mackenzie is shrouded in mystery. Quincy abducted Rapier’s daughter to trade her for Mackenzie. By all accounts Mackenzie knows something, but either he’s buried his memories or he’s not speaking.

In this instalment, Kalkin is far more self-possessed, more self-aggrandising. The end leaves us wondering about Utah’s future as it hangs in the balance. Osiris has one son, Utah, he’s deaf; he was almost killed by his mother who tried to smother him.
Will Jenna be in time to save him?

Cormyr, Rapier and Saber are biological siblings, same mum, different dads. Then Rashid. He met Osirus in high school and then one day, the runt, Wy, showed up looking for food. Damn pup wouldn’t go away so they had to keep him.”

Oh man im such a big fan of The Apache County Shifters series so when I saw they finally did one for Kalkin I was so excited and ecstatic. In book number 2 Rapier was by far one of my favorite characters. Hes an amazing character you really dont find much about throughout the series.

But in this book you learn everything about why he is the way he is. Why he is so caring towards Cookie.

Jasmine is absolutely amazing, she split up from her mate Rapier so they could save their children she was pregnant with at the time from a madman trying to take everything over. Sh did everything for the last ten years with just her and her sisters and her twins. No contact with her mate nothing, just them protecting each other.

This book had me in tears on numerous occasions, Its so very emotional. As a couple reunited they go through so many things in their short period of time back together.

Kalkin and Rapier join forces trying to defeat Quincy only to come to many problems and issues along the way. Kalkin wants to do it the legal way as he is the alpha and the sheriff. Rapier just wants to let his lion free to rip Quincy to shred's from what he has done to him and his mate and his pride for the last decade.

Its a definite power struggle for them both as they join forces fighting who they are.

I just loved it and couldn't put it down its a must read. If you haven't read Kalkin or Caden I suggest you do all three together are an amazing read.

Book three in the Apache County Shifters Series brings us Rapier’s story. It also concludes a storyline from the previous books so I definitely recommend reading them first. I loved Jasmine and Rapier together, their love for each other had stood against time and separation and survived. There is a lot of action, twists and turns in this book, plus a lot of interesting new characters. I’m looking forward to reading more.

Being able to finally collect his mate and two children after 10 long years fills Rapier with unimaginable happiness. Afterall, he'd lost his pride, his lands and his woman all because of Raymond Quincy who is now behind bars. But it seems that Quincy's reach and need for revenge is not hindered by incarceration. Now that Rapier and Kalkin are co-Alphas for their pack/pride they work together to eliminate the continuing threats and keep their loved ones safe.

Rapier (Apache county shifters book 3)

Rapier and Jasmine were a shifter couple that were separated for a decade.
They were finally able to be together as family. The evil wolf pack caused a lot difficulties for the Rapier family. I would like to know what happen to Emmett’s? Did he live after the horrific beating and rape? The storyline was excellent and incredibly compelling it kept you wanting to read the next book in this series.

Rapier and Jasmine have been through so much for the last ten years. I am so glad they were able to be back together because they have such steamy chemistry and they were such a great pair. I felt for them with everything that Raymond Quincy was putting their family and the whole pack/pride through.
I received an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
