Every minute of every hour of every day he fights to resist succumbing to his worst instincts. If he doesn't, he will fall, and gain the power to scourge and wreak havoc upon humanity, feeding off their pain. It would take a legion of angels to stop him.

So when he learns that Liana needs help once again, he knows he is the last person to provide it. The problem is, no one else is willing.

Corban must return to the side of the girl he loves, and pray that he is strong enough to save both her and himself.

I really enjoyed Corban's POV in this book. His internal struggle to do what is right, and external fight for the same, make him a very compelling character.

I hope book 3 will have both their POVs.

The question of morality and what makes a good person continues. I loved the blending of various mythologies in this sequel to Chasing Sunrise, and I loved the deeper development of Corban's character and the history surrounding his order and the vampires. Again, a completely compulsive read. I could NOT put it down.

ONE FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!!
Man! Emily hits this bad boy out of the park making for an exceptional experience! One cleverly laid storyline with an gripping plot that rocks this jewel from the git-go. Emily really brought out the magic in this thrilling, on point realism that spinning those blazing emotions thrusting this bad boy to life spectacularly. The tension is thick, the danger chilling and suspense is skyrocketing. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together flawlessly. The characters are authentic, relatable and so realistic with depth and qualities its easy to get swept away. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it paints a wonderful backdrop that gives the illusion your right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Fantastic job Emily, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

Liana and Corban are back and it’s four years later. They haven’t seen each other and tried to overcome their feelings. But once again they are thrown into a situation. This time with shifters, more vampires and fallen angels. This new journey is filled with fighting and suspense. Will they succumb to their attraction? Good continuation.

Corban and Liana's story keeps getting better. Corban is back in her life after 4 years. Things are dicey because Melanie, the sister of the vamp they killed is searching for her. Now they have to deal with other realms and fallen angels left and right. Just when they think they can be together something else comes up and now Liana has to learn how to fix the demon realm.

This was a wild ride that I didn’t want to get off. I was completely glued to my kindle wondering what’s going to happen next. I can’t wait for the next installment. I hope we don’t have to wait long for it.
