It is hard to describe the genre that these short stories fit in; a little bit Gaiman, a little bit Lovecraft, but all Jobe. The stories are enthralling enough to keep me from worrying about plunging to a fiery death during a plane ride, but short enough to read prior to going to sleep (though it is hard to stop at just one). This is the first time I have read one of David Jobe's books, but I am so excited to dive into his Broken Ones trilogy.
