JET VII picks up where JET VI left off, with Jet, Matt and Hannah on the run in South America, trying to evade enemies from their past who are determined to exterminate them. From Chile to Rio to Argentina to Moscow, the action never lets up as Jet battles to save her loved ones.
At the end of the last book, Jet, Matt and Hannah have fled into Chile just ahead of a Russian assassin who is trying to kill Jet. Apparently, they arrive in Chile in the middle of a gang war. Jet makes an alliance with one of the Chilean gangs for mutual help. She will help them against the other gang, and they will help her against the international assassins. There is one assassin from Russia after Jet. A pair of assassins working as independent contracts for the CIA are after Matt and the diamonds. In this book, we have Jet trapped in a mine looking for an alternative way out then riding horseback in the Andes Mountains. The question comes up in each book, will Jet and family ever find a safe place to live normally?
The book is well written and is very fast paced. The action in non-stop. I could hardly put the book down. But, my only complaint is that after seven books, I am getting tired of the constant running from people trying to kill her. I read this as an audiobook downloaded from Audible. The book is about 9 hours long.
Braden Wright does an excellent job narrating the book. Wright has narrated the entire series so far.
OK, i gave this a four instead of a five only because it is becoming hard to keep track of all the groups trying to kill Jet and Matt. I agree with other reviewers that as if the normal bad guys werent enough, this book has them involved in a criminal war in Chile. My God, where will it end... I am losing track of all the bad guys out there. The stories and writing are addictive though , and i cant stop reading. Blake has the formula for an incredible action packed adventure that requires no deep thought: pure escapism. I love the characters and only wish he would cut them a break for a short while. Just as this book ends we have on the sidelines the next group of evil doers waiting to go after Jet and Matt. Please give them a short rest and some happiness. Just started Jet 8 as my addiction reqjuires me to.
A whirlwind of action and sometimes unbelievable outcomes. I have enjoyed the series so far, but.... This one has the most farfetched escapes and outcomes of all the stories, so far. Found myself skipping some of it because of the mindnumbing description of the action. Whereas Jet was somewhat plausible as a character, she has been blown all out of proportion in this volume
This story came together quicker than the last. They continue to be on the run from highered hit men and get involved with a gang war. Blake did an interesting intersect that joined her and the gang. After most of the action I would think it would be wise to stay in Chile where this gang is in power so I. The future Matt and Jet would have some protection. That might. Be too logical and not let Blake write more. 5
Fast-paced plot with Jet protecting the people she loves. Jet, Matt, and Hannah (under three) are in Chile, South America, evading enemies who are determined to wipe them off the earth. A twist - Alejandro, an honorable gangster. (I love saying that name.)
In these books, I expect the unexpected, and I'm not disappointed. Caves and prisons. So much action. Jet's little girl made this more intense. She had to protect her daughter.
Library loan. Yeah, there really is no ‘Sanctuary’ for Jet, is there? I do hope that, in the future, she finds one for little Hannah while she battles every villain in the world. I do enjoy the stories, the complicated situations, villains, her skills. I find great escape, but am exhausted at the end. (That’s a good thing!)
From the title of the review you might think I’m being sarcastic but I’m not. It’s just that the Sanctuary never really emerged amid the roiling sea of trouble Jet, Matt and little Hannah were sailing on! Great book. Blake hits it again. Can’t wait to find out how Igor and Fernanda do in their quest to quench Jet’s life.
'Sanctuary' was definitely a thrilling read. I loved how the story line played out. Jet just can't seem to shake her past. But she keeps kicking a$$ and proving she's a worthy opponent. She found an unlikely ally in this book, but that made this a great story. I look forward to reading more.
Same story , different book. You could read any of these and get the basic plot of them all. I'll try book 8 , but I'm not expecting any big surprises. H gets snatched (again ) M gets snatched and injured ( again ) Jet saves the day ...
Will Jet, Matt and Hannah catch a break? They arrive in Chile and find themselves in the middle of a war between two organized crime factions. But they are hunted by a psycho from Columbia, a group from Russia and a couple from who knows where.
This was another extremely complex and suspenseful thriller that will hook you from beginning to end. Not a series to be missed. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Action all the time with the female Rambo going full force all the time. Foreseeable events involving the brother but good change of pace with others in the hunt.
You have to wonder sometimes how one person can keep getting into so many corners to fight out from.........ooooppppssss seems I am very invested in the Jet sagas and that would be true........great stort telling with each book dovetailing well into the previous book with the same level of adventure, danger and need to protect those that are loved.......let's keep on keeping on with these stories.......totally hooked!
I keep hoping that Jet can catch a break, she needs some downtime to figure out things, where to live, how to protect Hannah and to just be happy with Matt, instead of constantly running.
It was sort of funny how Jet managed to land herself in the middle of a gang war, because really if isn't wasn't for bad luck Jet would have no luck at all. The best thing about this situation was how Jet showed the gang that she was more bad ass than they were. At the start they all kept discounted her, until she kept coming up with these plans that were so crazy they could only work. Slowly she won them over by proving her plans worked, gaining some valuable allies along the way.
I liked how at the end Jet was able to finally get rid of one foe, hopefully for good this time and that Jet gets the break she needs.
