Picked this up as a reference book to learn FreeCAD. This book is "merely" a collection of drawing that can be translated into any CAD tool. It is *not* a tutorial book with instructions. Don't expect hints, tips or other help advice. What you can expect is a laundry list of parts that you can take on as challenges to drive your practice sessions. Visually it is quite clean and readable.

Musicians have practice books, software programmers have algorithm challenges, this is the equivalent for CAD enthusiasts.

I have *no* experience in CAD. Using a couple of online youtube walkthroughs of FreeCAD and this book, I was able to take a parts from these exercises through the development process to a printable 3D object. As a disciplined approach, it works.

I dinged it one star as I feel a taxonomy would help this book. For example, index it by "skills achieved", experience level or any other guidance for beginners. Note: I only have the digital version, I cannot comment on the quality of the paperback construction or binding.

it has couple errors, but otherwise its useful

what’s missing:
- github or some other feedback way
- inclusion of more CADs, like FreeCAD.
- not all of these are really 3d printable as is, let’s be honest.
