What a gorgeous book! I love the quiet intensity of it, mingled with such wonderful playfulness. It’s one of the more subtle books my 20-month-old is reading at the moment, and yet she chooses to read it first every night at the moment. The images are a delight, and full of hidden creatures and surprises.

I cry really easy at pretty much everything, but this one touched me. I particularly enjoyed how the inter-generational relationship changed and grew over about twelve-odd simple phrases. The book is singular and beautiful and everything I could want for a story for my kid!

We checked it out from the library, but plan to buy it. Very highly recommended!

Un album super mignon, les illustrations au crayon de bois sont magnifiques. On suit une petite fille et ses parents chez sa grand-mère... Qui a avoir un gros point commun avec sa petite fille.
