This book is like reality tv for me...it’s cringey, not well acted, yet somehow you are still glued to the screen and still watch episode after episode and start to have a soft spot for some of the ‘desperate for fame’ actors.

Our heroine is called Mary Sue...oops sorry I mean Sera, who is so clueless that just about every freaking male (human or fae) lusts after her (riiiiight...of course!); she can see otherworldly beings; gets abducted and brought to Faerieland and is forced to compete with other human girls for the lost tiara and also to be engaged to the prince. Naturally the handsome prince takes interest in her 🙄, but then so does the big “baddie” Unseelie King 🥱 and she gets tingly feelings for them both.

I actually was looking forward to the competition, where I thought finally we might get to see why Sera was so “special”...but alas, the King makes a deal with her to help her out and her new bff Jordan (another girl competing) acts like her bodyguard and actually does all the hard work (I was actually shocked at just how little Sera actually did throughout the whole competition).

Spoiler.....

Of course Sera wins...she retrieves the tiara, and knowing how powerful the tiara is, still willingly wants to give it to the evil queen 😮 because that’s just who she is...no personality or fight or anything in her. (Oh can you tell I’m not very impressed with our mc? Every other character was more interesting than her. She just let things happen to her, passive to the max, the only reaction we got was her feeling tingly when a hot guy looked at her.)

So why the 3 stars....because the story was interesting, had shades of A Court of Thorns and Roses (Sera has promised to visit the Unseelie King if he helped her); Jordan her sidekick was a great strong female character; the prince and king were cute.

Sera has the unique ability to see the creatures of the faerie world in our world. She tries not to focus on them or let them know she sees them. The only faerie she interacts with is her best friend Pascale, who is a pixie. She’s working her way through college while bartending.

When she notices two fae following her, she tries to ignore them. When she is captured and taken to the realm of Seelie fae, a spell goes wrong and Sera can’t remember anything about her former life in NYC.

She’s entered in a competition with other human girls to retrieve a diadem. The winner gets to become the Princess of the Seelie by marrying the Prince Camden. Things are complicated when she makes a deal with the Unseelie King for help winning the competition- he seems familiar but how can she remember him if she has few memories of her former life? All Sera wants is to be free to go back home - she doesn’t want to be caught in court intrigues or to marry anyone, even if Camden is a nice guy.

This book was a lot of fun. Sera is a great main character. The world building is fun and easy to follow. I’m a sucker for amnesia plot lines and I loved it.

Seelie is in great danger. Darkness is rising on the horizon. Though, we have allied with our historical enemies, The Unseelie, the two Courts will not be enough to oppose the impending Darkness.

This is definitely one instance where I would recommend reading the novella BEFORE starting book one in this series as Running From Darkness not only serves to help set up and introduce you into this Fae world, but you will be able to understand a lot of nuances and certain "hints" that pop up in this book so much better if you already have that background info.

At first I was a little uncertain about where this book seemed to be headed, but the story quickly transformed into something fast-paced and unputdownable. Sera is a human who is able to see fantastical creatures in the world around her, and who is unexpectedly kidnapped one day by formidable Fae warriors. These sentries bring her--along with other human females--back to the Seelie realm by order of the Queen in order to participate in a dangerous contest that is supposed to be the saving grace of the Fae realm. I'd say this book was a wonderful mix between The Selection, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and one of my absolute favorite pnr novels V Games by Caroline Peckham. And of course a dash of a Twilight-worthy love triangle (#TeamBass)! I am definitely hooked on this series as this novel provided just enough to tease us and leave us wondering and wanting more. I cannot wait for the next one where we will hopefully get more answers and sexy Bass moments.

This was sooooo good! Definitely stayed up past my bedtime to finish it. I recommend reading the prequel to this, Running from Darkness, if you know what's going on even while Sera doesn't. Not everything is revealed to her by the end of this first book, and I can't for it to happen in the next. I loved Sera. I appreciated the cautious approach she took and how she questioned everyone's motives. I mean, she was taken against her will. Jordan is my girl though. That is the kind of friend everyone needs. There are so many ways this series can go, and I am so excited to see what happens in the next book.

This book reminds me of the time I was into wattpad. The writing is so simple and childish that there isn't much of an imagination written for the protagonist. The theme of the book is the reason that caught my attention. In the end, I got a horrible dialogue written, and it sounds like from a 15-year-old.

I absolutely adored this book. Sera is spunky, relatable and just all-in-all a fun character to read.
Pascale is 1000% my favourite character, I mean, who doesn’t want a badass best friend who happens to be a pixie? (having pink hair definitely helps as well XD)

I loved how the romance aspect weaves effortlessly through the plot, but doesn’t distract you from what’s happening.

I’m super excited for the next installment.

Having read the prequel “Running from Darkness”, I thought that I had a little background information of what to expect when Sera was kidnapped and returned to the Fae realm. However, this storyline has some unexpected twists that keep you guessing. This intriguing World created by Ms Britt, drags you in and keeps you there. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Sera (Seraphina) Richards has grown up being able to see what she calls monsters, as far back as she can remember, but knew never to tell anyone else about this. She had been brought up by her Uncle Eric in Hartford, but was determined to go to college in New York, with her best friend, Pascale, a pixie she met when she was fifteen. She wants to train to be a nurse, but struggles with her science classes, but has help from her lab partner Andy, who Pascale seems keen for her to know better. Sera works at a bar owned by the family of Bass, someone she has known since she was sixteen and had a crush on, since Pascale took her to a concert where his band was playing. They have grown sort of close, meeting up all the time and him checking in on her when he is in town, but she tries to ignore her crush, made somewhat harder whenever he touches her and she feels a lightning bolt of electricity throughout her body. One evening, Pascale is in the bar with some friends of hers and the bar itself is dead, with them being the only ones there. Sera is told she can clock out early and join them, but shortly after she does so, the same two ‘golden’ men she saw on campus watching her, appear in the bar and tell her she needs to go with them! Pascale tells her to run whilst she and her friends keep the men away, for some reason they are tasked with protecting her. She runs into Bass, who tells her to run out the back and meet her boss, who will take her somewhere safe. Only problem is that he isn’t there and a third ‘golden’ man is waiting for her. She is dragged away and taken through a portal to the Fae realm! She thought she was taken there to be a slave to the Fae, as per old tales she remembers hearing of, but instead, she and twenty odd other red-haired young women are there to take part in a contest. Pascale had managed to catch her in a net and her magic has given her amnesia, leaving her only knowing her own name and little else, which is actually some protection where she ends up!

She has been taken to the Seelie Court by three sentries, Morty, Zander and Wyrd, but also soon runs into the Fae prince, Camden and his bodyguard Frederick. She thought Camden might save her, but as soon as he hears form the sentries that she is there, summoned by the queen for the contest, he leaves her with them. She finds herself woken the next morning by another participant, Jordan, who quickly becomes her friend, who tells her training is about to start and they can’t be late. It seems each of the women were chosen by an orb, on the queen’s orders, and they have to take part in a contest, of which they know nothing about. They are taught to spar with staffs and swords, but most have been there almost six months, whilst Sera has only just arrived, and the contest is in two weeks, leaving her at a huge disadvantage. Luckily for her, the prince takes an interest in protecting her and has his bodyguard keep an eye on their training and has his sentries give her additional training to prepare for the contest and allow her to catch up with the other women hopefully. The contest will be deadly, so she needs to learn and quickly! The special attention has singled her out amongst the other contestants and only Jordan sticks with her. They soon find out the Seelie Queen is on the throne illegally, and it seems the rightful heir is Prince Camden, whose uncle the king is indisposed. Queen Aria has held a number of these contests, using human women to gain a hidden treasure she desires, hidden in a dark cavern beyond a dangerous forest. The treasure these human women must find and bring back is a diadem or tiara, an item that will give the holder immense power over the Dark, something the queen wants for herself! None of the women are told what the contest is actually about, until days beforehand, when they are paraded around at a banquet for the queen and those of a higher station. The Fae are making bets on who might be the winner and only Sera knows that most of them will be killed by monsters or other dangers they face during the contest, and that no one has survived in the six previous contests the queen has held!

Sera may not remember much of what her life was like back on Earth, but she is determined to return there, something Prince Camden is determined to ensure never happens. He has taken an intense interest in her and is playing clear favourites, making the other contestants see her as an enemy, all apart from Jordan thankfully. The Fae Queen has changed the reward for the winning women this time, they will be wed to Prince Camden, her nephew, which is usually not allowed. Humans are seen as far below Fae and marriage has never been allowed between the two races. But Sera isn’t quite what she seems and only a couple of people know who she truly is. Even she has no memory of those she knew in her past, or even any of her family and friends, only what she can sense of who she really is. She will be tricked and betrayed by some of those closest to her, as the Seelie Prince and the Unseelie King both have their own plans for her. The monsters she grew up seeing all around her, have nothing on the real monsters and dangers she is about to face in the dark forests and mountain scenarios of the contest she must face. So much more to learn about Sera’s background and former life in this story and why she was selected for this contest in the first place and was taken so much later than the other competitors. Some surprises along the way as certain characters from her recent life, cross the divide between Earth and Fae realms, unbeknown to her as her amnesia stops her from realising who these people are! Sera is about to find herself set on a brand-new path by the actions of the Fae sentries who took her from her workplace and the truth she is about to discover about her own origins. I can’t wait to find out more about her origins and to see who she is going to end up with, as a powerful new enemy has been made and more danger will be in her future.

I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout, and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This book reminded me of The Hunger Games meets The Selection. It was equal parts action and romance. There were a number of questions I still had as the book finished, but I digress - let's get to the good stuff!

Sera has never been normal, she's always seen creatures and decided that she would just pretend that they weren't there. Because, let's be real, people who see things that other people can't see? They aren't exactly considered normal. While in high school she meets her first creature, Pascale, a pixie with hot pink hair. For the first time in her life, Sera is told that she isn't crazy and that the creatures exist. Her and Pascale hit it off and head to college together as roommates a couple years later.

As a sophomore in college Sera is captured by Fae Sentries out of nowhere. As Pascale and her friends fight for Sera, they ultimately lose. The one thing they are successful at is wiping Sera's memory. Sera enters the Seelie Court knowing her name, her age, and what she would study at school, that's it. In her first 15 minutes in Seelie, she unknowingly stumbles into Prince Camden and *swoon* is he dreamy. After her first night, she is informed by another captive that they are there to train for a competition. For weeks they train for this unknown competition, but the Prince has taken an interest in her. He sends additional sentries to train her, and they even end up training together after hours.

As the competition is revealed by the Queen, it seems that all contestants, young, beautiful, redheads, will have to complete a quest - by going through a dangerous forest, ascending a treacherous mountain, and retrieving a diadem from a cavern on top. This diadem will allow them to control The Darkness and keep Seelie safe, it doesn't hurt that the winner will also get to marry the aforementioned dreamy prince. What she doesn't mention is that this competition has been held 6 times already and there have been no survivors. Sera is determined to survive, she has to get back to her family. Even if she can't remember them, she knows they have to exist. And for some reason people in Faerie seem oddly familiar, mistake her as someone else, make her feel like she knows them, etc.

There a lot to unbox in this novel and I can't wait for the second book in the series to come out!

An excellent new fae adventure with a twist!

5 stars... Fantastic story. What would you do if you found you could see creatures that no one else can see? Seraphina "Sera" has dealt with this as long as she can remember. So starts this amazing book. Sera is a lovely young woman in college studying to become a nurse and working as a bartender in her friends family bar in New York city at night, she's best friends and roommates with a pixie with bright pink hair who enjoys teasing her about the handsome jock who offers to tutor her in biology lab. Sera enjoys her life and is looking forward to visiting her family for the Thanksgiving break when surprise golden creatures turn her world upside down... Or better yet steal her from the world into the fae plane where she is trained with other beautiful young woman to compete. To add to the excitement, just before she is taken by the fae, her friend casts a pixie spell blocking her memories. We meet a handsome seelie fae prince who takes a fancy to Sera and helps her train. Sera runs into the strangely familiar unseelie king Sebastián at the celebration where the girls find out what it is they were brought to compete, be the first to make it through the dark forest, find the crown and win the prince's hand in marriage. The characters and descriptions in this book are vivid and fascinating. I devoured the story in one day, couldn't put it down. We learn so much as we follow along with Sera about this strange world she finds herself in and the people who are there as well as about herself. I loved the journey we are taken on through this amazing authors words. I won't spoil it for you but I can't wait to read more and see if my questions and Sera's will be answered in the next book about who she really is...

This book was such a pleasant surprise. Though the plot was familiar in that it's a popular theme to have some sort of princess trial where girls compete to marry a prince, this version was a bit different. Not only was the writing clear and engaging, but the characters were fun and unique. I loved Sebastian and Camden as romantic interests, and Sera and Jordan made a great pair as companions in the contest.

There were a few typos in the book, but nothing strong enough to break the narrative - just a misplaced letter here and there. I do wish a bit more of Sera's origins had been explained in this installment of the book - because that aspect of the plot felt very unfinished, but I also understand that this is only one book in a trilogy, and I'm sure that info has been reserved until later in the story. I have my suspicions, but I'm temporarily willing to set these aside to enjoy the story for what it is.

I think my biggest gripe about the book was how perfectly imperfect Sera was as the main character - everything fell into place for her. She was singled out a lot for special treatment despite not being particularly smart, brave, or talented in any aspect. She was a regrettably typical clumsy teen character that was too pretty for her own good but painfully unaware of it, and it was all a bit cliché. I did like her as a person, but I wish the author had spent a little more time crafting her into a stand-out heroine rather than the typical mary-sue stand-in.

Overall, I liked the book. The positives of it outweighed the negatives for me, and I'm happy I read it. If you like this sort of plotline, I'd recommend you pick this one - it's a good read, even if it isn't perfect.

I have been eagerly awaiting Stolen by Darkness, ever since I read the prequel, Running from Darkness. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It’s kind of like a mix of The Hunger Games and Throne of Glass, but at the same time, it’s its own story. I loved it! Sera is going about her daily life; she’s in college to become a nurse and she just met a cute boy that seems to be interested in her. The only abnormal thing is that she can see monsters - creatures that other humans can’t. In fact her best friend is a pixie! So really it’s normal to her that she can see non-humans. Then she is taken by 3 Fae males into the Fae realm and she’s forced to train for a contest, one that no one will give her any info about. At least she’s made a good friend in one of the contestants, Jordan. That partly makes up for the strange interest the Seelie Fae Prince Camden, and the Unseelie Fae King Sebastian have in her.

Sera is such a strong and wonderful character! She may not be the most athletic, or the most skilled in training, but she refuses to give up. I really really liked her. I also loved Jordan! She’s such a good friend to Sera when she had no real reason to befriend her and she’s pretty badass I must say. I like how strong the friendship between the girls was and how they would do anything for each other. I’m intrigued by Prince Camden and King Sebastian as well. I’m curious where the romance will lead! This book was exciting and well written! I got into it right away and I didn’t want to put it down! I highly recommend this book to anyone that’s into Fae, fantasy and paranormal romance!

I received and ARC from the author and I’m voluntarily writing an honest review.

I received an electronic copy of the book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The story started a little slow for me, but by chapter four the action grabbed me by the shoulders and I was in it for the remainder of the book. I then didn't put the book down until I was at the end! I enjoy the way the author continues to portray and develop young women protagonists in her stories. Even when there are fantastical, or fairytale qualities, these women come off the page as very real. No one has it all together, deals with insecurities, and yet I never feel as if they cross over into the annoying/needy/unreadable characters. Everyone has flaws, but how they learn with/from them is an exciting part of the journey.

In this adventure, Sera has never felt "normal" because of the strange beings she can see, which no one else can. She's adapted and learned to deal with it....and for the most part is a regular young woman attending college, working a job, and trying to figure out what to do with her life. Unbeknownst to her, she has many ties to the "fairytale" world of the Fae Courts. Sera is kidnapped, has her memory wiped, and forced to train in combat with other young women who all share similar characteristics who will be used by others to accomplish a goal they themselves (captors) cannot do. Throughout, Sera continues to develop and hold true to who she is (rather than what others are grooming her to be) and continues to learn that there are good and bad "peoples" in every society.

There are others with Sera in the story, but the focal point is on Sera's journey. This is the third series by Samantha Britt that I'm reading, and I'm never disappointed. Each world has great attention to detail, and characters are developed and rounded out well. Sometimes the development requires the arc of the series, which has been great fun for me to read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend to anyone who enjoys grounded characters who navigate in fantastical worlds. I look forward to the remainder of the series, as well as others by Samantha as she is on my list of authors to watch/follow.

„Stolen by Darkness“ by Samantha Britt is the first book of “The Dark Fae Trilogy”, a young adult fantasy series portraying just about any Fae in the realm. Our heroine, Serafina is about as naïve and clueless as they come, and that makes her a lovable and easy to care for.

Sera has never been totally normal, she has the tendency to see things others don’t and to find herself in strange situations, just like right now, as she unknowingly ends up into the Fae realm after being kidnapped out of college and must accept that her goal of becoming a nurse simply will not be. The rescue attempt by her friends fails and she ended up into the Seelie Court with no memories (courtesy of her friends, that think it would make things easier for her) other than her name and age, and what she is supposed to study at school. Right after her arrival she unexpectedly stumbles upon the Prince regent and from them on the fairy tale evolves, a modern take on fairy tale nevertheless. At school Sera has to train for some unexplained competition with the rest of her peers. As finally the purpose of the competition is revealed, Sera learns that the winner, will not only be able to control the Darkness, thus protecting the Seelie court, but will also gain the hand of the Prince, which of course is a plus, as the Prince seems also interesting in her. The quest is complex and very dangerous and have already claim the lives of every participant in the six times that has been already held.

As the plot thickens and the story evolves Sera discovers hidden facts about her own past and has to fight for her life, not only to win the power over the Darkness and the Prince, but also to be able to return to her own world and her family.

The story is well written, has an interesting plot, enjoyable characters with a mixture of classic fairy-tale and modern twist. Perfect for fans of “The Hunger Games” and “The Atlantis Grail” that wish a light romantic fantasy would take on the genre.

ONE PHENOMENAL THRILL RIDE!!!
Magnificent! Samantha breaks the pleasure barriers in this high octane, block busting bombshell, ratcheting up the thrill level with such exuberance and fervor, throwing this baby into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, blasting it into a tailspin with a stunning culmination. Boasting impressive scenario's, that punch dead center, ramping up the zeal and delight with such intensity and precision, fusing this bad boy together piece by piece. Bracing for all the drama, intrigue, deceit, danger and soaring suspense while tension spirals, thrusting this jewel to life spectacularly. Carefully treading the trials and tribulations, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The characters are original and realistic with qualities and depth that blend and balance transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are so colorfully descriptive it's easy to envision each detail as they play off one another perfectly. Awesome job Samantha, thanks for sharing this jewel with us.

Enraptured

Intriguing and engaging. This story grips you with a character’s childhood mystery and then when you’re almost sure you know where it is headed... the story instead throws you for a loop and tosses you into a whole new realm and without your memory to boot. For Sera it’s like knowing your core beliefs and morals, but having only blank pages where your knowledge of friends and family should exist. Tossed into a do or die situation she does what she has to do. Ultimate her core self attracts the attention of many when she doesn’t even try and they are compelled to keep her safe however they can. I love a great adventure where the main character doesn’t know much and slowly learns as the story progresses. Nothing more intriguing than traveling the story road right beside the main character as she discovers her fated path. Makes me feel like I’m right there with her.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. We meet college student Sera, who had been able to see creatures since she was little. She knows its not normal so doesn't tell anyone. She sees a girl with wings and that begins her friendship with Pascale. One night at work 2 gentries that she saw out and about are there to take get away. The next thing she knows shes in a weird place with no memory. WTH. She learns there is a contest with young women who all have red hair.. weird. She unbeknownst to her, meets the crown prince who has taken an interest in her. What on earth or not earth is going on? There are more questions than answers. She meets the unseelie king and feels like she knows him. The girls are off into the cursed forest to receive an item for queen. The only problem is that they have to make it out alive. Sera knows smtg is afoot and will do her best to stay ahead of the game.

Oh my goodness, what a good story!

I can't get enough of Sera's story. It is sooo good! She is definitely more than she seems! I love all things Fae related. Also i have to admit i may be crushing on Bass as well as Camden... *swoons* So many twists and turns and surprises along the way, not to mention alot of action too! And the female characters are soo KICK ASS. Like Sera's new Bestie Jordan. This story has Kidnappings and A crazy contest, an evil queen, an unseen darkness... and tons of secrets...and HOT smexy FAE Males...all of which makes this story sooo GOOD! I don't want to post any spoilers... So hurry and go read this for yourself, you won't be disappointed! It's really AWESOME. I read it in one sitting, couldn't stop until it was finished. That's how good it is! I need to know what happens next like right now haha... Can't wait...

I’m really digging this one...

So far, so good with this series. The author has built a very interesting world with a whole host of characters who have tons of possibilities. Fae, both Seelie and Unseelie, a mysterious heroine, a couple of potential book boyfriends, and an evil queen... What else could you ask for?! It’s the perfect storm for a PNR series!

On another positive note: the writing is very good with few mistakes. The story arc has good flow and doesn’t drag at all. I see lots of threads presented in this book that should weave together nicely over the series with plenty of mystery and intrigue.

A few small similarities to ACOTAR, but nothing off-putting, and in all actuality the similarities may just be on a personal level because I was THAT drawn into the story. So, if you’re a fan of ACOTAR, this will be a good one to read.

I really enjoyed this book, and the main character, Sera. Her innocence, naïveté, and willingness to do the right thing was both sweet and frustrating. Sweet because she’s endearing and has a good heart, but frustrating because she seemed to so easily accept everything happening to her, despite being kidnapped and taken to another realm, her memories stolen, and then thrown into a dangerous contest. I was hoping for there to be a bit more fight in her, but at the same time, I understood her plight. Humans have nothing on the Fae.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and the world Ms. Britt has created. It’s well-developed and full of magic, mystery, intrigue, danger, and a potential love triangle… to which I have to say, I’m totally team Sebastian.

I can’t wait to start book two and find out what happens next.

Can any of the human girls survive the Competition?

Sera is just an average girl, raised by her uncle, working in a bar owned by a friend in order to support herself because she is currently in school to become a nurse. All her life, Sera could “see” creatures no one else could and never admitted this to anyone. Her best friend is a pixie. Then one day, she’s kidnapped and taken to the Fae Realm, where she’s forced to train with other human girls, all with red hair. This, the first of The Dark Fae Trilogy, deals with Sera’s training and the competition. There’s a lot of action going on, and the writing style works well with the story. A highly entertaining read that kept me turning pages. I can’t wait for to see what happens next.

I really enjoyed this book!

Stolen by Darkness is a dark and enchanting dive into a world of Fae politics, hidden powers, and dangerous secrets. It starts with a mysterious kidnapping, and from there, you're thrown into an unfamiliar and high-stakes environment alongside the main character, Sera. I liked that we discover this strange world as she does : confused, scared, and unsure of who to trust.

I also loved how the atmosphere felt both beautiful and threatening and that's a perfect match for the story's tone. The Unseelie vs. Seelie dynamics, the eerie courts, and the mystery behind Sera’s past kept me hooked. There's a slow-burn romance, a high-stakes competition, and plenty of emotional twists.

Can’t wait to read the sequel!

I love discovering a new compelling series by an author I have never read before. Sera is starting her second year of college with her best friend and roommate, Pascale. Life is about to change for Sera when she is kidnapped and taken to the Fae Realm. She must compete for a crown with other young women and the right to marry the Fae Prince. This contest is serious with contestants being hurt or killed. People are not who they seem to be, can Sera get out alive and save as many others as she can? Will she be able to return to college and finish her degree in nursing. I am looking forward to the next book...I hope the author is a fast writer!

I love having the privilege to read Samantha Britt’s books. There is something about her writing style that tickles my brain the right way. Sera was a great leading character, filled with uncertainty and flaws that still played in her favor through the entire book. The twist of who is who towards the end was somewhat predictable but still kept you on your toes and gave you a sense of relief once the guessing was over. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series and see where Sera winds up, and how she grows as a character.

If you’re loving for an easy read. Something not too dark, easy flow and some drama.
This YA book is for you.
It’s your typical YA story. Girl like boy, girl is in trouble, girls life changes, and girl ends up with boy.

This story has a little bit of betrayal, contest, royalty and hidden secrets.
My favorite character was Jordan even though she is not the MFC.

This story had the predictable plate and flow throughout the whole book.
It was a nice and easy read. I enjoyed it for what it was.
I did not get too invested in it.

Everything about her life seems to be a struggle. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to loose your memories and then to be kidnapped and thrown into a contest. She seems to have it rough whether it’s at the beginning of her training or at the start of the contest. I really loved all the little clues the author left throughout the book revealing a little more about the characters especially the FMC, Sera. Now that she has the tiara what is she going to do with it? And what role does Bass play into her love life? I am excited to find out in the next book in this series.
