I've read essays that were longer than this. Disappointingly short, even as a part one. Read it in less than three hours. Borrowed ideas, with rich, gorgeous, super intelligent company owner Xander who becomes very intrigued by Alexa, a pretty but poor girl desperate for a job. There is the obligatory creep that the hero neutralises and takes said girl home to ravish. The end.
The author mentions her second book then, so it gives me the impression that she considers this one as a book. The length of the work gives no time to develop the characters or the plot, not to mention any kind of message the readers expects to take away having read the work. There is nothing novel in this piece of writing. The whole book came across as a cliché. Editing was reasonable. Maybe pooling two-to-three of these books together with a lot more content and substance would make it more saleable, but as it is I have serious reservations.

You are hooked right from the beginning and are glued to your seat till the very end. It leaves you with a cliff hanger and I can't wait for part 2. It is fast paced, off the charts chemistry, strong likeable characters. The story was well written and you will not put it down. Alex goes for an interview and is shocked that she is being interviewed by the owner himself. He catches her in a lie and doesn't hire her. They met again when Alex is on a date and when her date gets a bit to touchy Xander steps in and claims her for himself. A must read. Look forward to part 2 to see where their relationship goes to.

now - writing this review after i wrote it on amazon wow, that is an over and done ... don't blink or it will be over before know it. love the characters. will read more 'cause it is on KU ... i'll let u know about part 2 when and if i read it??! (this comment is not on the Amazon review ...all other parts of this book / series ... whatever u wanna call it are NOT ... are not on KU? that is when Beth gets her panties in a bunch ... why the HELL NOT?? so u get it with KU ... part one ...but then u want me to pay more for all other parts ... nope ... i say ... sorry ... that is just plain rude!! i'll end it myself in my own mind. thx!! so silly, doesn't change my review stars ... but that makes me wanna at least bring the stars down to a 2 ... and i never give a 2 review!!)

When Alexa Drake arrives for a job interview as an assistant she's taken by surprise when she finds out the owner and CEO of the company, Xander Bradford, will be the one interviewing her. There's an instant attraction between the two but Xander can tell Alexa is not telling the truth in the interview. His gut tells him she's hiding something.
Julia Nash has created circumstances that allow for an insta-attraction turn insta-lust. This is a short, steamy read but it's a building heat with a mystery. It definitely caught my interest wanting to know how things progress and what the outcome will be.

Oh my freakin' G--! The cliffhanger in this book left me with the lady version of blue balls. I cannot WAIT to read the rest of the story. Xander and Alexa have chemistry that oozes off the pages. Be careful, your reader or book may just catch fire. It is that hot! Whether it is from the fantasies, dreams, or in-person interactions, the heat level is not for the faint of heart. You've been warned (now go read this ASAP!). :)

This is a very short story and ends abruptly. The plot was interesting, and it looks like the next book shall be interesting as it continues Alexa and Xander’s story. The characters have great chemistry together and even though they d their best not to act on their mutual attraction to each other they eventually have to give in to it. Hot and Steamy!

This was an awesome short read, it does end in a cliffhanger. I was trying to stay away from these series that are one book broke apart into buying a couple of chapters at at time but this one kept popping up in my recommendations and I ended up buying it. I wasn’t disappointed and am looking forward to reading the rest of it. The chemistry between Xander and Alexa is amazing and I want more!

This was a good start to this story. Julia Nash did a good job on Xander, the plot was good. From the moment Alexa and Xander meet, they had an instant attraction, even though they were opposites, they were good together, their chemistry was steamy.
Looking forward to reading more of their journey.

Way too short, However it was a great short read. Alexa and Xander have undeniable chemistry.

Alexa interviews to be Xander’s assistant. She waits to see if she gets the job. In the mean time she goes out on a date, Xander show up and stares her down. Date goes bad and Xander rescues her..... to be continued

How can you mess up an interview

Alexa needs a job. She is at Xanders company knowing it would be perfect. Gosh he was hot. So why did she lie. He calls he and tells her he knows she lies, but he wants her. When he sees her in a bar she needs to be saved and he must save her. He must have her, why.

Make sure you have a fan handy when you start reading this book. Alexa is a struggling girl who has never experienced the smouldering fire of a hot lover. Xander is the one who is going to show her just how hot it can get. Couldn't put it down!

I give this story five stars because that's as high as it goes or I would have given it a higher score.
I love how their relationship is starting and I want so much more. I can't wait for the next book. I love a strong sexy billionaire.

Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Wow who would not want to be in Alexa's position. The story was short but hot and steamy made up for it I cannot wait for the second book.

I don’t even feel like I can give this a real rating. I wrote papers in college longer than this.
There was next to no plot, and then literally 0 conclusion. Why end like that? Make it one book instead of 4 minuscule parts. I enjoyed the 40 pages I read, but it was unsatisfactory.

I reviewed this book and it was really good and hot. Talk about a girl who has been giving a crappy go at it. And trying to make something out of it. It has it all lust, lies, and downs along with betrayal from what I got from her. Along with a chance to make things right again. It just makes you want to read them all right now.

I am hooked on this story and cannot wait for it to continue in part two. Beware.this does.end on a cliffhanger but it is a great introduction to Xander and Alexa. I cannot was to find out if Xander a d Alexa become colleagues or something more personal?
