Lots of potential here
I truly did enjoy the storylines, but the execution was lacking. There was way too much telling instead of showing and too many cases of word misuse. Also, some study of police procedure would help, as would fleshing out scenes instead of skipping over important parts. However, the dialog between the sisters flowed as I would expect, which was a pleasant surprise. These stories could benefit from some serious editing, and I would love to read them again after that takes place. That said, I plan on continuing with the stories to see if the writing improves. There is a lot of potential here, and i'd love to see this author improve and grow.

Never a dull moment!
I chose a five star rating for the boxed set of Back Room Bookstore Cozy Mystery; it was a lovely read! Beautifully paced with great background information and character building. Super balance between mystical and mundane. I'm just really enjoying the action, location, fate of the familiar and friendships!

A great series.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and I can't wait to read more. An author who writes such great stories. You won't be disappointed. Always so very well worth the read.

Best written for a teenager
So sorry I didn't read reviews before I ordering full set. Read the first book and was skeptical; started the second and ave up when it was evident the mystery was to find out who was framing good natured "Uncle Drac". No thank you.

It is a hoot
It is funny, serious, fanciful, and a down right good read. Characters are well done, the stories are so enjoyable to read. I have not stories like these for a long long time. I salute the author.

Love this series!! The characters are quite different than you expect for a paranormal book! It is lots of fun!!

Murders and mystery and much much more!
I bought the first 3 book package and read them all.
They were great! Lots of imagination by the author makes for great stories. Mona and Monica inherit their Aunt's bookshop - one in the mortal world and one in the mystical and magial world and joined by a magic door which leads from one shop to the other!
I loved them flowing on one after the other with lots of happenings.
Great fun but hard to working who was ."the bad guy" but until they all sort out in the end. You won't be disappointed and I hope you like them as much as I.
