Luck be a lady tonight! Seeking financial support in the fight against the Demon King's army, Princess Iris visits the neighboring nation of Elroad to meet the prince: her husband-to-be. But Kazuma won't hand over his little sister to just anyone! Scratch that. He won't hand her over, period! Posing as her escort, he tags along in an attempt to derail yet another wedding (and rake in the dough). But no sooner than they arrive in Elroad are they informed that the engagement is off, and there won't be any financial support at all! And so it falls to Kazuma to use his wit and insanely good Luck to milk the Casino Kingdom for all it's worth!
Well, the fun is getting better, I'm even used to everyone teasing each other and is getting hilarious even. I loved we got to see little Iris again, and man, was I not expecting her to be so amazing! I just loved her, she's a wonderful princess and a really strong girl, she could take on the world if she wanted. This casino kingdom was great, Kazuma's skills are growing for his benefit in every book and now everyone else has a bad time when he is around. For being pretty useless in the first books, he's become quite an interesting character. Even Megumin and Darkness are a bit changed, way more cynical than before. The Demon King plot is still there, they still hint a few thing here and there, and I'd love to actually meet the King himself one day instead of just the generals, we should soon, since we're running out of minions fast.
A downtime book that takes us away from the character progression of the last book that centers its attention on the princess and her character development, fun to read but it bring the plot to an awkward halt.
Cette série continue à s'améliorer depuis le dernier tome (enfin !!!), le personnage de Kazuma semble comprendre qu'il était horrible et souhaiter faire mieux, je ne demande et n'attends que ça !
As Austin said, this episode will make either a fun film or a couple of episodes of the next season of the anime. Light, easy to read and funny, this volume follows Kazuma and the ladies as they escort Princess Iris on a diplomatic mission to meet with Iris’ betrothed, but also to secure funds for the war against the Demon King.
Not that deep being a light novel buy I enjoyed the interactions between the cast. I'm quite surprised at just how much fun it is to not the little developments between them.
