I told myself it was just the thrill of the chase. That what I felt for her wasn’t real.
She was my best friend’s little sister.
She was off limits.
Yet, the temptation was too much and I betrayed the only promise I’d ever made to her brother.
I touched her. I fell for her. And then I left her.
Now I’m standing at the altar as his best man ten years later, waiting for her to walk towards me. All I’ve got to do is prove to both her and my best friend that I’m worthy of her.
If I get my way, the next time she walks down an aisle to me, she’ll be in a white dress.
It should be simple…the maid of honor and the best man are meant to hook up, right?
It's Wedding Season!

Tracy Lorraine is a M/F and M/M contemporary romance author. Tracy has just turned thirty and lives in a cute Cotswold village in England with her husband, baby girl and lovable but slightly crazy dog. Having always been a bookaholic with her head stuck in her Kindle Tracy decided to try her hand at a story idea she dreamt up and hasn’t looked back since.
Tracy did a great job creating the characters. The tale that is spun is heartbreaking, funny, joyful, and just "ahhhh";.
I have read several of "A Wedding Season" series novellas and I honestly cannot say which one I love the most. They are all great and quirky with ...mmm... super sexy times.

She's ready to run. He's back to stay. Can a love that ended in heartache, survive a second chance? Bryony and Freddie were a romance interrupted. She gave him her heart. He feared losing his soul. With the chance to get it right, finally within their grasp, will they open their hearts to happily ever after. Something Borrowed crams a great deal of heartache into a sliver of a story. The drama is prevalent, the emotions are deep and the romance is an unforgettable delight.
Bryony is the wedding planner for her brother's wedding. His best friend Freddie is due to attend. Bryony and Freddie had fallen in love but he had left her and they had not seen each other in ten years. Will Bryony give Freddie a second chance or is she not interested anymore? I found this a super short sexy story. Good characterization with hot steamy moments. All round a good read.

This was a really good brother's best friend/second chance romance and is a great addition to this round of Flirt Club short stories. This is Bryony and Freddie's story these two have had feelings for each other for years but he freaked and broke her heart, Now ten years have past and it's her brother wedding and he is back and is determined to get her back.
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

This romance sure did get me in the mood for wedding season! Sweet, heart melting and sexilicious, this quick read was what I have been looking for. The characters are memorable and the story flows so very sweetly. Perfection!
I like the premise of this book, but Byrony was way too forgiving to Freddie. I mean ten years of built up hurt and frustration and she just forgives after a simple I’m sorry. No woman in her right mind would ever roll over that quick. I get that they were meant to be and they both still loved each other, but everything he said to apologize was in his own mind and not voiced out loud. I do like how he redeemed himself in the end, and gave Byrony what she always wanted.

Bryony is a wedding planner, but her friend Vaughan remarks that for someone who loves weddings, she sure has an issue about being involved with one. This wedding was for her big brother. She had offered her wedding planner service as a wedding gift, sure that it would prevent her from being in the bridal party. After a few drinks, Vaughan at last thinks she has the answer as to why Bryony holds herself back from participation. Who, she asks Bryony, had made her not want a happily-ever-after of her own! After 10 years, with her heart ripped out, she wasn’t going to answer that and she hurried to the bar to get Vaughan another drink.
It had been 10 years ago that Bryony’s brother’s best friend, Freddie, made a huge mistake choosing to walk out of Bryony’s life. Afraid that if he loved her and pursued a relationship, his friendship with her big brother would be destroyed. So he chose to give her up. Betrayed, she decided that love and marriage were not for her anymore. It just wasn’t worth the risk of a devastating broken heart.
It was difficult enough that she knew Freddie was to be the best man at her brother’s wedding. But Bryony gets dragged in at the last minute as maid-of-honor when the pregnant maid-of-honor’s doctor tells her she cannot fly there with her condition so unstable! The drama queen bride was not willing to compromise in any way on her plans, so Bryony had no choice.
This time around, the 18-year-old boy who let his fears make him walk out on the woman he loved is now a grown man who wants a second chance to make things right. He will have his work cut out for him since Bryony is not willing to let him hurt her like before. Seeing him again makes her determination waver as she feels those old feelings still exist. Only the fear of going through that pain again holds her back. Will Freddie be able to show her that he is ready to love her now and give her the life they both deserve? Or will she be the one who now lets her fears force her to turn and run?
I enjoyed the story, but 10 years is a long time to waste! I’m glad Bryony didn’t make it too easy on him – he deserved lots of squirming. Does she finally relent? Can she trust him this time around? Grab your copy and see if things work out for them.
This story is Bryony's story and what a story it is. You see Bryony used to love weddings and talk about her own all the time. Then one day she stopped, she was around seventeen years old. Bryony still loved the idea of love, just no longer for herself. She fell in love at seventeen and had a secret relationship with Freddie which abruptly ended. It sucks how you have to lose something to realize what you had and now it's gone. Bryony never gave up one dream, she became a wedding planner. Her current mission is planning her brother's wedding. You see this is a blessing and a curse. It has been ten long years but.now this weekend, Freddie will be back in her life. She can do this, right? You see, Freddie is her beorher's best friend and now he is the best man. She can survive the wedding and the weekend, she is the wedding planner she has work to do. A series of events will keep you on your toes as fate works her magic to bring these two together. Freddie has his own motives for being at the wedding.....he wants Bryony back in his life and in his bed. Is a second chance in order? How secret was their relationship the first go around?

Freddie made the biggest mistake of his life 10 years ago when he let Bryony get away. He may have been a scared 18 year old boy back then but now he is a confident man who is determined to get his second chance with the one who got away. Bryony has no plans to make it easy for him though. Once bitten twice shy and she refuses to let Freddie crush her like he did before. However those plans soon become harder and harder to enforce and Bryony is stuck wanting the only man she has ever wanted and being scared to take that leap again. So can Freedie convince her he is worth the shot or will her fear keep her from taking a second chance at love? This was a sweet book I just wish he came to his senses and grew some balls and went after Bryony sooner. I mean 10 years you supposedly love her and know you made the worst mistake of your life but your still out there screwing random women instead of going after your dream girl? It just get kind of annoying after a while reading about the indecisiveness of boys. Still a good book though and I was happy to see Bryony putting up a fight at least a little bit.

It was a short and sweet Flirt Club story. I liked it for the most part but two things persisted in my mind throughout the story:
1). I never saw a compelling reason for the break up 10 years ago. He walked away, but WHY? And he stayed away for 10 years, again... WHY??? And what’s so compelling about him that Bryony is still stuck on him 10 years later, cuz from where I’m sitting he seems like a jerk.
2) I never saw a compelling reason for the pursuit by the hero to get the heroine back. Why now? Why pursue now? He professes to want her, but he was sleeping with his “ex” — not really a girlfriend but a steady booty call — up until just a few weeks ago. Hardly the signs of someone serious about his true love.
So, these things just stuck with me through this fairly short book. I’d really been looking forward to Bryony’s book. She’s a wedding planner who doesn’t want her own wedding. She’s been a minor character in other books.
I was fairly satisfied with the HEA. I think maybe the book was just too short to properly develop the backstory and make the hero likable for me.

A novella done right, Something Borrowed follows a former couple who are reunited at a wedding. Bryony and Freddie had a secret romance for months when they were teenagers, but Freddie ran from his feelings and ended things without warning. In the years since, Bryony has guarded her heart and still harbors plenty of feelings for Freddie - both good and bad. Freddie has come to realize that he made a huge mistake by leaving Bryony, so he sees this wedding as his opportunity to get her back.
It’s a sweet and sexy romance that moves quickly but has plenty of feels since this couple has known each other for a long time. The writing style was great - there wasn’t a ton of detail since it’s a novella, but I still felt like there was plenty of depth to the relationship. It’s romantic but also pretty steamy with plenty of heat and the characters were both likeable. Overall, a great novella easily read in an hour or so.

Nothing turns a girl off romance like a broken heart. At eighteen, Bryony lost her heart to her brother's best friend, Freddie, after he decided a relationship with her wasn't worth possibly losing her brother's friendship; he walked away, never to look back. So heartbroken, she decided she would never fall in love again or get married. Hard to do when your job is a wedding planner. Now 10 years later, Bry has to see Freddie face-to-face for the first time since he walked away from her, but it will be as the best man opposite to her, being the maid-of-honor, at her brother's wedding. Will she be able to hold her heart together and keep the cold exterior? Or will one look bring all the longing, passion, and heartbreak right back? This is a second chance romance with a man on a mission to make amends for the wrongs of his youth. Sit back and enjoy this fast paced love story.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is story that is part of the Wedding Series written by the Flirt Club. In this second chance romance, Bryony is a wedding planner who offers to plan her brother's wedding as their gift. Bryony, herself says she will never get married, after she had her heart broken by her brother's best friend Freddie when she was younger. Freddie left Bryony without a word and broke her heart, now he is back to be the best man at the wedding and he wants to see Bryony to see if he can have another chance. Bryony has to step in for the maid of honor at the last minute and she is forced to be around Freddie. Bryony still loves Freddie, but she is scared to trust he won't leave her broken hearted again. I liked this book, i liked Freddie and think he really loved Bryony. Freddie seemed like he needed to mature and realize how much Bryony meant to him. Bryony knew she would always love Freddie, she just needed to know if she could trust him.
Bryony is a wedding planner and she is planning her brother's wedding. She is dreading it somewhat because of his best friend Freddie will be there. She thought that she would be able to avoid him being the planner but when the maid of honor can't make it she gets roped into being the replacement. When Bryony was younger she always thought about her wedding but after what happened between her and Freddie she give up that dream. Freddie plans to use this chance to win back the woman he loves and show her that he means to stay around this time. Will Bryony give Freddie a second chance at her heart?
This a great story about a second chance at love. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this story to any book lover.

Something borrowed is a novella in the ‘’wedding season’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Bryony is a wedding planner that has been burnt by love. Whilst at her brother’s wedding that she planned, a face from the past walks back into her life. Freddie broke his best friends little sister’s heart. Ten years later, Freddie is back to be his best friends best man. Determined to get the woman he loves back, he sets about winning her over. I really liked Bryony and Freddie. The chemistry between them was clear to see and I liked them together. I understood why Bryony was hesitant but I wanted her to give love a second chance. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.
Bryony is the wedding planner for her brothers wedding as a gift but he is coming the man who broke her heart 10 years ago her brothers best friend Freddie. For the couple of months that they were together they had to keep it a secret because Bryony’s brother Mac warned Freddie to stay away from her but he couldn’t help himself. Freddie grabs Bryony outside and he kisses her and all of those feelings that she had for Freddie come back including the absolute heartache she felt when he left. Can Bryony ignore her heart and forgive Freddie?. Fantastic short story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Freddie ghosted on Bryony ten years ago, when they were teenagers sneaking around.
Now, he’s back as the best man at her brother’s wedding. Will she give him a second chance? Bryony is the sister of the groom and the maid of honor and the wedding planner. She hasn’t moved on from Freddie.
What I liked? Mostly sweet. What I didn’t? He gave no explanations or apologies for ghosting on her. He just dumped his side piece and Bryony takes him back with total ease.
Still, a recommend.

Something Borrowed was another great read by Tracy Lorraine. It's been 10 years since Freddie left town and Bryony, the only girl he has ever loved. Now he is back for his best friend's wedding. Freddie has his own agenda though. He wants his girl back. His best friend Mac also happens to be Bryony's older brother. She was so hurt by Freddie, Bryony never wanted to get married. Ironically she is a wedding planner. Her gift to her brother and his fiancee? She is in charge of the wedding. Bryony has to step in unexpectedly as the maid of honor. Freddie knows this is his chance as best man to win back the love of his life. 5 stars!
We finally get Bryony's story! I enjoyed the story and the characters. Freddie knew what he wanted and wasn't leaving without it. But I have 2 issues that made it a 3 for me.
1. Freddie has loved her for 10 YEARS, but waits for something to push them together to do anything about it?? That's stupid. Go find her.
2. If her brother knew, he would have said something. Knowing how severe her heartbreak was, he wouldn't have let her/them suffer for so long. It would have been better if he'd not known at all. No loving brother would have stood idly by while his best friend broke his baby sister's heart.
Bryony is Freddie's best friends sister, she's also the woman he's been in love with for 10 years. When he left 10 years ago with no explanation he was scared and not sure his best would approve. Now he's back for his best friend wedding and can't let Bryony go a a second time. Will she give him a second chance? Anything can happen at a wedding where romance is fresh and flowing. Don't miss Freddie and Byrony as they discover second chances are possible.

Bryony has been in love with her brother's best friend, Freddie for years. They got together briefly but then he disappeared, breaking her heart. Fast forward ten years to her brother's wedding. Freddie is the best man and Bryony is the wedding planner. Will these two be able to be in the same room without everyone noticing the tension? Will Bryony and Freddie get their HEA too? This is a fast sweet story about attaching your heart to someone and never letting go. Enjoy ♥

Eddie is Mac’s best friend but ten years ago he left because he was in love with Bryony who is Mac’s sister. Bryony has vowed never to marry after Freddie broke her heart ten years ago but with her brothers wedding coming up she knows he will be there and she dreads seeing him. Freddie still loves her and hopes she still loves him because he doesn’t intend to leave without her. Can Freddie convince Bryony that he is here to stay?

What happens when the guy you love leaves you because he doesn’t want to lose his best friend, her older brothers friendship? It leaves her hurt and bitter. Bryony doesn’t believe in love or happily ever after anymore. Now ten years later he comes back to be his best friends best man in his wedding and get Bryony back. But she doesn’t want him after what he did or does she? Her heart and mind want two different things but which will win?

Bryony is a wedding planner and doing her brother's wedding. She knows Freddie will be there but she thinks she can handle it since she will be in the background. Well... she ends up having to stand in for a bridesmaid. Can these two stand the heartbreak of seeing and dealing with each other or will it tear them apart? Would have liked this to be a little bit longer - go into more of the why and how to work through this. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An interesting fun short enjoyable second chance / brother's best friend romance. The characters are well developed, are interesting, and have great chemistry. A standalone that you finally get to see a great character that you have been getting tidbits on her character in other stories from the series. Well done Flirtcub. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC and really looking forward to checking more out in the Wedding Season.

This is a great story and I love the characters. Bryony loved Freddie with all her heart when she was seventeen and he left her. Ten years later and she's a wedding planner but never plans on getting married herself. While planning her brother's wedding she ends up having to see Freddie again because he's the best man. Will Freddie be able to prove to Bryony that he wants her or will Bryony fight her feelings? Great read and I highly recommend it!
