**** 4.5 Stars!!!!!****

This is the second book in the series about Silver and Alex. I must say that once again I was sucked into this dark story about school bullies and the teens who fight back. I loved seeing Alex and Silver fall deeper in love with one another! I adore everything about their relationship. The bonus about this story was Silver’s Dad! He was awesome! He brought humour to the story and I felt that it was definitely needed! The content at times was quite dark, so being able to have some comic relief was The icing on the cake!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far and I can’t wait for the third book to see how everything is going to turn out!

ღ 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝐀𝐓 𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 ღ Is the second, full length dark romance book within the (Raleigh Rebels) series by Callie Hart. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.' This kicks starts right where the previous book left off, so it's best to be read in order.

Heed the warnings, know your triggers, read with caution, this series isn’t light and fluffy, it’s dark, gritty, emotional and this author does not hold back, this touches on extremely sensitive subjects.

I'm so glad I'm working my way through finishing this series because so far it's ticking all those boxes. I love how you think things are going to go one way but then the author switches the switch and everything is turned on its axles. I can't even compare this book/series to any other I've read before.

This had me by the throat, in its clutches and didn’t let go, the twists and turns, and throughout it all these two were a solid foundation. Their love was strong, his need to protect her was boundless.

gifntext-gif

I’m so happy we get to see this side of Cam, (Silver’s father) he’s hit me with the feels with the lengths he’ll go to protect his daughter, I’ve giggled more times than I can count with his non stealthy antics breaking and entering and Alex coming to his rescue (more than once). The bond these two are moving towards is making me love the shit out of this author for bringing Cam into the storyline how she is.

He was her pillar of strength when the whole school was against her, painting her as a liar, teachers not believing her story, this book was shrouded in so much emotional turmoil when one girls cries for help were ignored by the ones who should’ve been protecting her was utterly heartbreaking.

Well. Fuck. Me. Running.
It's potent writing mixed with very heart pounding emotions, all stirred perfectly together to deliver a stellar story. With a lot of a bully dramas floating around, this story shows the true horrific and heinous side to "Bullying gone unchecked" and gives us an example of what is wrong with the society today. Everybody should read this story, Kids, teens, and parents.
Callie continues the story of Alex Moretti and Silver Parisi after the dreaded incident in book 1, but expands the circle of people effected by it. There's more sinister powers at play, lots of background drama and some very dangerous situations Alex and Silver find themselves in. It's not just tackling Bullies at their school no more. It's big guns coming out to Play and they have dangerous repurcussions with them.

description

Alessandro develops into a more mature individual, he gains in stature and confidence, his life becomes a tad more complicated, but he soon finds an Unusual accomplice and a secret ally
"Alex Moretti is the kind of guy who sweeps into your life like a wildfire, torching anything and everything you’ve ever cared about before he makes himself perfectly at home, rooting himself down so deep into your soul that it becomes impossible to differentiate where you end and he begins."

description

Silver is harboring a BIG secret which will be catalyst in her doom, much to my consternation, she remains juvenile. If it weren't for her strong support system, she wouldn't be able to function normal.
Her bond with Alex is tested and strengthened at every turn, the sizzling chemistry playing a huge part in it
"I belong to him now, the same way that he belongs to me. We’re connected, sealed together, so immersed in each other that some days that I’m a little intimidated by how in tune we are. Cut one of us and the other bleeds. Maybe not physically true, but emotionally…"

description

I loved the man-boy Alex was turning into, definitely his circumstances forced him to grow up too fast but still he showcased courage and strength of spirit
“My promises are watertight. Not just sometimes, for some people. Always. The only reason I’d ever break confidence with someone else is if it might hurt you in some way. Otherwise, I don’t get to pick and choose. That’s not the kind of man I want to be. Sorry, Dolcezza.”
Cameron steals the show at many points, his frustration, pain and helplessness just made my heart cry. The one I'd love to know more about is -Zander Hawkins. That man arrived and how!!!!
Although a couple of scenarios became a tad too far-fetched for me, it still was very engrossing and had me turning pages at full speed.
This story packs a powerful message along with being entertaining and that's what a perfect book should do. Not let you get bored and not let you get distracted .
This fits the bill and gets A+ from me on both counts
4.5 stars for "confession of a helpless man resigned to a beautiful fate."

Omgggggggg I was at the edge of my seat the entire time. This book gripped me by the throat and didn’t list go to the end.

This one is the continuation of Alex and Silver love story and all the traumatized events of book one. It is raw and emotional, CRAZY and it squeezes your heart a little because the bullying the FMC is been dealing since book one seems to have no end.
I ABSOLUTELY UNDOUBTABLY NO QUESTIONS ASK WITH EYES CLOSED love and adore Alex Morelli. He is only 17 turning 18 but he is so mature due to his life been so crazy, he was force to grow up so fast and for all the craziness going on and has gone on in his life he is actually pretty stable and has it together more than expected.
Silver is strong as fuck, she’s been broken but she isn’t irreparable, she is resilient and and excellent partner for Alex. She also has it together in spite of the horror that happened to her. She chooses to hold her head up and chooses to carry on. Alex is essential to her strength and he is truly amazing.
He father Cam AGAIN is the side character that stole the show. He is funny, sarcastic and a damn good parent, unlike her mother. I don’t hate her mother, but who has a daughter going through all Silver went through and instead of holding the fort and put her shit aside to take care of her daughter, simply moves out and was barely in her life ???? That was annoying.
The only annoying part about this book that I thought it DID NOT go with how mature Alex was writing was what happened after she leaves the hospital…… I think that was a poor judgement of the writer to make such a stupid mistake. Yeah it was all fine, but it was SO NOT Alex to simply vanish for 3 weeks after EVERYTHING they went through! Who the fuck does that? I didn’t like that and that’s the reason I rated 4.5⭐️ because otherwise if we didn’t have this immaturity stupidity in the end it would’ve been 5⭐️

Revenge at Raleigh High continues the story of Alex and Silver and it was an ok read for me. I don't understand why because I loved book 1 but I just couldn't reconnect to Alex and Silver. I found the majority of the book boring and slow going. I didn't like that Silver chose to keep the text she was receiving a secret, I didn't understand the scene at the club because honestly all I could think was that this girl is in desperate need of a therapist. The ending had my head spinning and all I could think was does he really think he can get away with what he's doing. I don't know if Alex and Silver's story will continue but I'm not satisfied with the ending. I would have preferred an idea of what the future might bring.

I did not know if it would be possible for Callie Hart to top the disturbing insanity that was The Rebel of Raleigh High, but wow, did she proved me wrong! This is a crazy, twisted, steamy and completely unputdownable dark romance.

Revenge At Raleigh High was EPIC. This book was full of drama, suspense, lust, love and most of all, revenge! I‘m obsessed with the relationship that Silver and Alex have and this book just amped it up several notches. Their connection and dedication to one another is so captivating and inspirational. This book had me desperately swiping the pages from chapter to chapter. The suspense was slow building until it reached a shattering crescendo, but it was consistent and so well written. The depths of deceit and corruption was incomprehensible. I’ve never felt so much rage and anger towards certain characters! But that is testament of how Callie did such an amazing job inflicting so much emotion into this story.

Callie really did deliver with this book, it was mind blowing. I expected a good read, an amazing read even, but nothing prepared me for what I actually got. An absolute masterpiece. This book right here...this is how it is done. Be prepared for anger at what these two characters have to endure. Be prepared to be emotionally assaulted, but in the best of way possible. I was consumed by this story from beginning to end, their love melted me and their strength left me in awestruck. I am in absolute awe of this book.

3 ⭐'s

This book is both better and worse than the first one. In the first book, we got a lot of back story before the outlandish drama happened and believe it or not, Silver's abuse hasn't gotten any better in this book.

I was happy with the title...I was ready for some revenge! The problem is that it takes a long time causing me to read too much into too many things. I felt like there was just a lot of fluff until it got down to the nitty gritty.

Alex's hands are tied to a certain extent but he gets to have his own brand of justice. His "side" work with Monty and a former friend showing up diffuses a lot of the fun. He also has to deal with Cam (Silver's father) which was comical at times.

And there's a whole lotta sex in this book...sometimes it's hard to believe that these are two seventeen year olds - one dealing with some issues that seem to fly out the door where Alex is concerned. The whole sex club scene was way too unbelievable...I mean really?!

I loved the part where Silver got some payback but we weren't lucky enough for that to be the end, oh no, we had to deal with some pretty horrific scenes. It was almost too much.

And then the most unbelievable thing of all was the THREE WEEKS!! SERIOUSLY? Soooo unbelievable. There is NO WAY Alex would do that and the excuse was flimsy as hell as was Silver's acceptance. ~Sigh~

Here's hoping book three will tie things up nicely and be a little more realistic...or at least truer to the characters.

Nothing leaves me happier than reading Callie Hart, but nothing leaves me sadder than reading Callie Hart. It’s an honest confliction—I wanted to savour all of the chapters, word for word. I also wanted to devour the moments of earnest affection; of love so irrevocable and undeniable; of hatred that crackles as justice is sought, because this author is one brilliant writer. Revenge of Raleigh High is loaded with unavoidable emotion and the subject matter that continues to flow through this narrative is handled with sensitive care. Don’t fret though, Callie Hart uses comic relief to ease the tension and the moments of comfort made my heart fill with warmth.

But a scar is proof of healing. A scar is a testimony to strength. I’m not ashamed of it anymore.

Alex Moretti and Silver Parisi continue to fall more in love than ever. It is a love both incredible in strength and sincere in ferocity as it withstands dire circumstances and difficult situations. In the face of adversity and unfathomable environments, Alex and Silver traverse the treacherous corridors of high school with an unbreakable bond behind them. Revenge of Raleigh High is darker, full of dangers lurking within the shadows and raw moments that will seize your heart within an unavoidable clutch.

“You are the sun, Silver. You’re gravity. You’re the air in my fucking lungs. I’m a satellite, trapped in your orbit, and I’ll remain here until the end of time. My face and my dumb, wretched heart, will always be turned to you.”

I did have some minor issues with this though (spoilers ahead): the sex club. It was hard to believe that a sexual assault survivor was comfortable enough to fuck with an audience, no matter how thrilling or exciting the scene was. I do love that she's determined to reclaim her confidence and strength though. Silver’s reluctance to tell someone about the texts she received irked me also—kind of as if she didn’t trust Alex, making it feel as if their relationship stepped backwards a moment.

Regardless of my thoughts or feelings on this, Callie Hart's writing is brilliant and she delves into difficult subjects unrestrained but remains sensitive and considerate. Subtle references back to Blood & Roses and the Zeth-esque feel from some side characters, even the sex club scene, made me miss this author's earlier works, but also leaves me excited about what's to come!

“𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮?” 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬. “𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐀𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨. 𝐈 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. 𝐈 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. 𝐈 𝐝𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐞, 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. 𝐈 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.

It's so hard for me to connect with characters if the story its more than one books especially in NA, but this is probably my biggest exception, I didn’t have a moment in this book in which I wasn’t in the edge of my seat trying to understand and decipher what was going to happen.
If I thought that I loved this characters before with this book they became my favorites, the story itself is amazing, the new characters make you suspicious, but you want to know them better, the villain makes you want to punch them in the face every 2 minutes, and the main characters still hold my heart in their hands

“𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐬𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐈’𝐦 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞. 𝐂𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬.”

Silver and Alex are stronger than ever in this new book, and their story in this one it's really captivating, Callie really has the power to make you be in love with them and being scared for them every chapter
I can’t wait to read the last book, there’s no one who deserves a happy ending as much as Silver and Alex

Where did the magic go?

The magic went from burning hot flames in book one down to dwindling embers in this addition. But should you still read book two? Yes, because book one was so good and you’re going to want to know what happens with Alex and Silver. However, it’s not going to stir the depth of emotion that book one did.

I actually found a lot of fault with this book. I’m sure the groupie fans will disagree, but I ask them to REALLY think about the details of this addition. Blowing smoke reviews up this author’s desk chair doesn’t help her as an author or the readers for future releases.

This review will contain spoilerish content to justify the review. And I hope this author reads this and take it into account.

Hart has some books I’ve enjoyed before, but Rebel of Raleigh High was by far my favorite of hers so far. Of course I had very high hopes for this sequel! Gah, where to even begin?

One, the magic just wasn’t there. The all consuming passion and love that developed between Silver and Alex didn’t show up in this one. Yes, you could tell they still loved each other and there were moments, but there just wasn’t that same over arching mood. The better development of a relationship in this book was actually between her dad, Cam and Alex. I very much enjoyed how her dad became accepting of Alex and encouraged him to come stay at the house some. It was what Silver needed and it’d have been stupid to keep them apart.

I’m also glad there was less actual time in the high school / classrooms.

Silver receives texts that in book one she would have told Alex about. But in book two it’s like she takes a step back in their relationship and doesn’t tell him everything or act as open. That was a real disappointment.

The foster mom for Ben is again a real horrid person. Anyone wonder if Sloane at the end of the book was talking about that foster mom and Ben? Might make things easier for Alex to get Ben. That’d be great to happen in the next book.

So how about the addition of Zander? It’s interesting for sure. Bit unbelievable, but whatever let’s enjoy the ride on this. I’d have liked to have seen him be a bit nicer and empathetic towards Silver as he was with saving Nipper.

Was Nipper needed in this book? Not really, since Max is the one that wanted a dog in book one. But I am a dog lover so I was totally fine with him coming into the book. Like that Zander saved him.

Sex scenes were good in this one. Silver wanting things a bit rougher could be natural development combined with fact she’s angry on the inside and trying to take back her life after everything that’s happened to her. This could have been explored further. I was very surprised Alex was okay with other people watching them at the club. Was thinking Jacob should have made more comments about seeing that than he did.

The major scene of violence in this book at the end between Silver and Jacob was unnecessary to that degree. It was also extremely hard to be believable that this Jacob guy would get his hands that dirty, but I guess he was finally pushed over the edge. He obviously struggles due to his upbringing. After what happened to Silver in the past and then to Alex in book 1, this happening to Silver THAT severely was just over the top and not needed. The depth of her injuries were extreme and then it was like oh she was in the hospital for weeks while Alex is in jail and they just handled not speaking to one another or asking after one another that well? I call BS on that. But I am super glad that Cam got Alex a good lawyer. Why wasn’t it discussed if Alex could have gotten out on bond though?

Alex not immediately going to Silver once he was released was out of character and a huge mistake. They make it a thing in the book that he was sorry and trying to get his new place ready, but no. This was NOT the right decision by the author or believable. He would have immediately went to her and checked on her when he got out. So this did NOT help the magic in this story, it only dwindled it further.

It left me really uneasy feeling about what will happen in book 3 in this series. It seems Zander will play a larger role, but I hope the story gets back on track with Alex and Silver.

Overall, this was NOT a smooth read and it felt very rushed. There was WAY too much blah blah blah chatty internal monologue paragraphs of thinking and not enough dialogue.

I hope the author really sits down and takes a calming approach heading into book 3.

And what was up with the release?! You announce a release date and then you had to rush and write I guess to meet it just so she could have paperbacks for the book signing she went to. I’d rather an author just say a rough time frame of a release if they aren’t going to be able to meet their self imposed release date. If you knew it was August 8th why wasn’t the book uploaded to A well in advance so there wouldn’t be issues on the 8th? After reading this one, I’d say it was because she was rushing. So the first file was messed up supposedly and then it didn’t get actually published until Monday the 12th after she sent a better file over for review. Umm what? What was even wrong with the file? Is she a computer guru and was able to just ‘fix’ it and send another or what? It’s okay not being able to juggle a lot at one time and seem people aren’t able to be as organized and planned as others and that’s alright! So let’s just hope she learns more organization and doesn’t overload her plate again in the future. Seems crazy to think someone would go to a book signing the weekend of a new release and have not confirmed prior there wasn’t issues with the book. Like it should have been loaded well in advance. I appreciate authors doing quick releases, but if you need more time to turn out a quality book and not break promises, then do it.

Eager to see where book 3 falls on the scale when it comes out this fall. I love new fall releases and this one will make a great pumpkin spice everything read!

OMG, It’s here! The highly anticipated sequel to The Rebel of Raleigh High! Are you ready? Silver Parisi and Alex Moretti story continues after the events of book one and this follows the repercussions of what happened. I enjoyed the flashes of the past through Silver eyes so we finally got the full picture of what she went through. This is a truly heart wrenching story of what these two lost souls have been through in their lives yet when they are together, they truly become stronger. “...A scar is proof of healing. A scar is a testimony to strength. I’m not ashamed of it anymore. It’s a part of me...” I am in love with Alex and Silver!! I also love the interactions with Silver’s father! Alex can rescue me anytime. This is one wild ride of a book that you are gonna love!! Told in dual POV

I just...I...ugh. I mean? GOD. This book wasn’t just a snack, it was a four course meal with the most delicious dessert. And then coffee and tea were served. Then a night cap.

GODDAMN. This book was so different from the first but SO incredibly perfect. The relationship between Silver and Alex is deeper now, more solid with more at stake. He made a promise to her in book one and in book two it’s becoming harder and harder to keep that promise. His hands are tied and silver has secrets. Secrets that could potentially get her hurt.

This book is darker and hotter than book one. The sex in this book is REVOLUTIONARY lol. So good.

The. Goddamn. Writing. Callie Hart sucks me into her vortex when I read her work. I drown in her words. This was so so so good.

I love Alex. He’s mine.

It took me 2 weeks to finish this book🙈😅

I was deeply impressed with the first book in this series, but this one... either it's the second book syndrome or it's just not so great idk🤷🏼‍♀️ The point is, I was often times bored and wanted to dnf.

The couple is already established and in love, but aside for coming together and having some smut, they are dealing with their issues separately in this book. They were disconnected from each other and as result I was disconnected from them.

What I really liked here:
- the hero and his devotion to the heroine 🥵
- the absence of tropes. the plot is the driving force here, not some boxes that have to be checked for tiktok🤦‍♀️

This was book 2 in the trilogy and similarly to the previous one, it didn't resolve EVERYTHING, but it gives a deep sense of "well, the couple is in love and together, and nothing will come between them", so I don't see why I'll be eager to continue in the near future...

Another 5 stars for Hart with this continuation of Alex & Silver’s story.
Fun fact, after I read TRORH I thought for sure that this author had given us everything that we could handle, and we couldn’t have anymore, and there was no way to top it.
WRONG!
Hart came for us again here in round 2, and delivered us MORE.
Moretti & his Argento. *so much swoon*
Their story is full of twists and turns, angst and easiness, the pleasure and the pain, an entire book filled with more duality than I was prepared for.
And I LOVED every heart wrenching, bittersweet moment.
I won’t be underestimating this author anytime soon. However, I will be back for more.
PS: that little glimpse of Sloane and Zeth made my whole life!

4.5 stars!

Wow, Callie Hart! What a thrilling and unexpected ride! The second book in the Raleigh Rebels series, this is the follow up to Alex and Silver’s story that so completely captivated me in The Rebel of Raleigh High. It’s a wild, raw and intense romance with drama, thrills, humour, heartache and dark and gritty themes, and I could not put it down.

Warning – this book features characters who are 17 years old, but this is not a YA romance. I wouldn’t even call it a mature YA romance. It’s an adult story with very adult themes and mature characters who are in very mature situations. There are some very dark and disturbing scenes with violence, physical and emotional abuse, and some surprisingly graphic sex scenes. Definitely not one for younger readers, and probably only for those who (like me) don’t mind some darkness in their romance.

The first book in the series introduced us to Silver, a high school senior who was dealing with the fallout from a devastating assault and subsequent hard-core bullying at her high school, and Alex, a foster kid from the wrong side of the tracks, full of rebellion and old beyond his years who is determined to graduate high school so that he can live the life that he is desperate for.

Alex and Silver easily and naturally ‘clicked’, and they fell in mad, wild love. They opened up to each other about everything and were there for each other through ups and downs, and the extreme twist that ended the last book. This book finds them still mad for each other, coming to terms with all that happened in the last book, and still looking to seek revenge on the people that hurt Silver so badly.

I loved being back with these two! For only being 17, they are both incredibly mature. They’ve dealt with so much in their short lives and have emerged stronger on the other side, and I love that they have found each other, and found something so special together.

Alex Moretti is the kind of guy who sweeps into your life like a wildfire, torching anything and everything you’ve ever cared about before he makes himself perfectly at home, rooting himself down so deep into your soul that it becomes impossible to differentiate where you end and he begins.

Honest, passionate and all-consuming, their love for each other shines through every single moment of this book, and I laughed, loved and swooned right along with them.

“You are the sun, Silver. You’re gravity. You’re the air in my fucking lungs. I’m a satellite, trapped in your orbit, and I’ll remain here until the end of time. My face and my dumb, wretched heart, will always be turned to you.”
I’m not a romantic person by nature. I don’t say these things to try and flatter her with pretty words. This is simply the confession of a helpless man resigned to a beautiful fate.

I mentioned that Alex and Silver have a mature relationship, and that includes physically. Their sexual relationship is explored in a bit of depth in this book, which makes it a really steamy read, and while it is relevant to the story, some of it is really intense, and maybe too grown up? .

But regardless, it shows their connection and their understanding of each other, and it’s that deep love that drives Alex to pursue his plot of revenge, and claim retribution for his girl.

“When someone hurts you, I have to fucking bear it, too, because I love you more than I’ve ever loved anything in my entire, miserable fucking life. You’re my fucking heart and my soul, and I will defend those two things with my own goddamn life.”

It’s a dark road, and there are twists and turns and some more surprises along the way. I cheered and celebrated with them, and then other parts of the story had me gripping my kindle in raw terror as I read with my heart pounding in my chest. I felt it all, and I was enthralled, desperate to know how it was all going to work out, and whether the evil bad guy would get what was coming to him.

Silver’s Dad remains absolutely fabulous, and the close relationship that he has with Silver is a true highlight of the book. And as Alex becomes a part of their family unit, the dynamic between the two guys is so entertaining! Funny and witty with lots of teasing, I loved seeing them together.

“I have the Google Translate app on my phone and I know how to use it, Moretti. If you’re planning on using a foreign language to secretly seduce my daughter, think again. I will know.
Oh, fucking hell. Come on. Really? I screw my eyes closed, groaning as I turn my face to rest my head against the doorjamb. “Dad, just…no, okay? No.”
Alex stands, shoving his hands into his pockets. He’s the picture of composure as he faces my father and gravely says, “I wouldn’t worry. Your daughter doesn’t know a lick of Italian, either. I couldn’t seduce her with it if I tried.”

The introduction of Zander brought some funny moments, and with quite a complex backstory for him and threads for his story left undone, I wonder if the series will now move to a book for him? Alex and Silver’s story ends well, though I thought it was a bit abrupt, so I can only assume that we’ll be revisiting them in the future as well? Whatever Callie Hart delivers for us with this group of characters, I will be all over it.

“I want you. I want all of you. I want our life together, whatever that looks like, no matter where we end up.”

Dramatic, raw and emotional yet funny and witty with a beautiful and passionate love story, these books are dripping with intensity. This book is a great follow up to The Rebel of Raleigh High, and I loved it.

4.5 stars.

REVENGE AT RALEIGH HIGH
Having to wait months between books 1 and 2, I had forgotten that Silver never got revenge against her abusers. Although this isn’t addressed until the last 20% of this book, those 20% were AWESOME! Until I realized it wasn’t…

The first 80% of this book was kind of boring, reminiscent of your typical high school romance, but the majority of this book did not evoke any emotions in me; it definitely did not deliver the feels I felt while reading book #1. In addition to that, this book contained an inordinate amount of unnecessary fluff and filler. The desire to skim was strong, especially when there were paragraphs in Italian that were not translated!!! And although there weren’t as many as there were in the first book, there were still a lot of typos and grammatical errors. From simply skipping words and sentences like: “He wants to talk about happened” to Hart calling a character named Zander “Javier” (huh? Javier??), the errors were quite distracting at times.

Worse than any typo was what happens at the end of this book. I was totally getting into it, adrenaline pumping when Hart COMPLETELY, TOTALLY, THOROUGHLY dropped the ball!!! ***The following contains a major

… somehow, against all sense of reason, logic and justice, she’s fucking mine. She just looked into my eyes and told me she’d stay by my side, no matter what, and I damn well believed her.

It‘s been a minute since I‘ve read the first part of this trilogy and I don‘t know why.
I love the relationship between Silver and Alex. They‘re so cute.

In this book they‘re even stronger. They have to handle even more and there is happening so much. So many twists. So much angst. But at the same time there are easiness and heartwarming moments between the two MCs.

Revenge of Raleigh High (book 2) by Callie Hart
Rebel of Raleigh high left us on a cliff-hanger. We held our breath and patiently waited to find out what happened to Alex. Silver feels like her life is starting to head in the right direction. She has a boyfriend that she loves and he loves her. She has finally come to terms that she no longer cares what the “it crowd” thinks of her. Has she become too brazen? Are the text messages something she should be worried about and is it wise to antagonise whoever is sending them? While her family life has changed, she has become closer to her father, who also seems to see the best in Alex. Alex has a few secrets of his own while working for Monty, will they come back to haunt him. When Silver’s past comes back for revenge, will she be strong enough to handle it? And will Alex make it in time to be her hero? Ms Callie Hart has given us a book full of drama. Her writing style keeps you engaged. However, I did have a few issues with this book. The basement scene was odd and I personally felt that if I had been a rape survivor I would not have been into voyeurism and with Alex protective nature, I was amazed that he allowed it to happen. Also, they were 17 years old and no establishment would have allowed them in or even to partake. I understand that she was experimenting with the rougher side of intimacy but this could have been a platform to make it into something so special just between the two of them. I did not feel the passion between them in this book as I did in book one. I also found it strange that Alex did not come to the hospital as soon as he could have. This was out of character for him and his reason for staying away really fell flat. So while I did have a few personal issues with some of the scenes, the overall plot was good and had loads of rising climax, plenty of action and suspense. Did anybody pick up on Dr Sloane comment about a young mother and her son coming back from vacation and being involved in an accident – Could this be Ben? And Zander, he really intrigues me, why is he really there and could it have something to do with a certain black bag? I am looking forward to reading more of this series.

WOW! this book is AMAZING. There is no other way to describe it.
Alex and Silver's story continues on this book. And if you think that the first book was great, this one will blow your mind.
I was reading so fast that I don't know how I could understand anything 😂😅. Callie Hart creates such a believable setting that you will be biting your nails throughout some chapters 😉😇. She has created magnificent characters. Alex is a dark hero. Perfect for Silver. But Jacob is a villain that will make you want him to suffer. To suffer a lot!
Honestly, the last part of the book is so good that I could picture it as a movie in my mind. All the plot develops in a crescendo way that explodes in some very exciting scenes.
By the way, Cameron and Alex together are hilarious. I can't wait to read the third book and see what happens.

I have been waiting for this book since I finished the first book, I’ve been desperate and needy for it and now it’s finally here and I’m so satisfied with everything omg.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

Revenge at Raleigh high kicks off a week or so after the end of Rebel of Raleigh High with the fallout of her finally spilling her secrets. Things, well they do go quite as well as you’d think.

This book brings out the dark and boy, do I love seeing it and seeing what repercussions follow the darkness. There’s a whole bunch or pain and drama and a plot you won’t expect. Callie always, ALWAYS managed to surprise me with her books.

Silver, I have an infinite amount of love for this woman. Not only did she survive her encounter with those horrible people she goes through a ton of stuff in this book. This woman is so strong and won’t back down no matter what she’s feeling. I love her shear will and determination in this book, I love that her confidence Is finally shown and that she doesn’t let anyone get to her. That woman is a force to be reckoned with, damn.

Alex, oh my gosh. This man just gets more and more loveable. Protecting Silver is what he lives for, he loves her more than anything and anyone and will do absolutely anything for her and it shows in this book. He’s strong and determined to keep her safe and man, I love him so much.

Callie really did deliver with this book, it blew my mind. I expected a good read like her books always are but nothing ever prepares me for what we actually get, masterpieces. I’m in absolute awe of this book.

Revenge of Raleigh high is dark and dirty with a little kink. It’s suspenseful and adorable and it’ll have you hooked from page one. It’s most definitely one of the bests of 2019!

Book one was full of many controversial, uncomfortable and disturbing topics. For a followup book I expected there to be more emotion and trauma for the MCs dealing with the fallout. I certainly didn’t expect more drama and heartache to overtake their lives.
Alex still wants to gain custody of his brother so he’s trying to be on his best behavior. However nothing will stop him from seeking revenge for Silver. He even gangs up with Silvers dad who as you can imagine is devastated and feels guilty for failing his daughter. There was a lot of self realization for Silver and Alex, both have been forced to grow up so quickly neither able to escape the pain from their past. Silver is scarred in more ways than one
Overall I enjoyed this story. I’m glad certain people got what was coming to them, not that they shouldn’t have suffered more 😈😈 But Im not going to lie, I’m scared and hesitant to read the next one. As much as I want silver and Alex to find their HEA I’m worried their already bumpy road has yet to collapse.

Revenge At Raleigh High (Raleigh Rebels #2)
by Callie Hart

⭐⭐⭐⭐
5 Stars

⭐Top read for 2023⭐

This book was FULL ON and deserved all its five fat big-boy stars. It was more potent than the first, more intense and the spice between Alex and Silver was on point! It's definitely a dark romance, and let me tell you, you are not ready for this book!

We venture deeper into Raleigh, the students are just finding their feet when even more shit goes down with Silver. If you think she was tough before, wait till you see how strong she is in this book. Hands down award-winning stuff at being a badass in this story. Alex is also by her side; loving her and being the man she deserves, only to get it in return from Silver. They are a love story in the making, and I adored them together so much.

Alex is a very strong lead in this book with how he carries himself, and how he manages his anger. He is a true testament to not judging a book by its cover because Alex is in a league of his own. He also has his stuff going on but gosh this boy is hot! I say boy because he hasn't even peaked at the age of 17 years, imagine Alex and a 25-year-old!!! Melt me into a puddle.

More gruesome chapters are heading your way with this book, you get to be front row and centre with what goes on and let me tell you, I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't read these chapters quickly enough. If you were brave to get past book one, this book will have you biting your nails and praying that the good guy wins!

I'm now off to read book three and I have no idea where it's going to take me! Best to go in blind with these books, it will definitely be a series that will stay with you.

**Special mention to Cameron: He was just perfect in this book and I loved his character.

Good book... but still some troubling storyline...🤬
Jake is a @$$hole!! 4.5 rating..

Favorite quotes:
“You know I wouldn’t have left, Argento. I’m a lovesick dog. You told me to meet you here, so here I would have stayed, in the rain and the snow and the cold until you eventually came to find me and put me out of my misery.” him 🥰🥰😍😍 (Alex)

“Break you?” he whispers. “I don’t break the things I love, Argento. I fix them. I repair them. I treasure them. I do ridiculous, insane, very illegal things to make sure I don’t lose them. I sure as hell don’t break them. I also do not wear boots.” Him 🥰

You’ve changed! I’ve changed! Everything has fucking changed! When someone hurts you, I have to fucking bear it, too, because I love you more than I’ve ever loved anything in my entire, miserable fucking life. You’re my fucking heart and my soul, and I will defend those two things with my own goddamn life. I can’t bear for anything to happen to you. I can’t see you hurt and not feel it. I can’t see you suffer and not have something wither and die inside me. I can’t see you wounded and not feel like I’m fucking failing you. If you’re asking me not to react to this, you’re asking me not to care about you anymore. You’re asking me to cut the damn wires to my fucking heart, and I cannot…willnot do that.” (Alex)
