The vast majority of people do not invest nor save.
Most of those who do, do so with limited scope of the investment system. This book covers everyone. The seasoned investor will find it useful and the total newbie will love the information and writing style that simplifes most technical financial jargon.

The writer defines the difference between saving and investing and provides a tool for determining the type of investment suited for you i.e conservative, moderate or aggressive.

The knowledge shared is of a balanced nature offering investment strategies suited for each investor type.

Bonds, ETFs, unit trusts, money markets, equities, shares, funds, commidities, property and various other investment classes are easily defined.

I particularly loved the practical section explaining the 8th wonder of the world which is compound interest.

I have never considered investing outside of equities but this book has definitely aroused my interest into alternative investment assets.

A great read for anyone looking to enter the investment space or looking to broaden their investment asset base knowledge.

I did not think I would get through a book on finance so easily. Anthea was interviewed about her book by Michael Avery during his show Classic Business on Classic FM 1027. This interview inspired me to obtain a copy of the book. It is written a bit like a novel, this makes it easy to read, understand and remember. The book has some practical exercises which help to determine one's financial needs. Well done Anthea, a superbly written book about what can be a boring subject. I am inspired to Make My Money Work For Me!

Thorough and basic explication about the different aspects of the financial industry. Overview on the parties, the products, the risks involved.

Not for professional investors (to basic). But perfect for a novice who would like to gain a better understanding of the financial industry and investing.

This is a good read, but I did not learn anything new really. So, if you've read a couple of personal finance books before, I would not recommend. If you're new to the genre, go ahead!
