“I’ll go out with you. I’m keeping you under my supervision until you learn to obey me.” On the night of the skiing trip, Yu and Kurosaki-kun became boyfriend and girlfriend! The more time the new couple get to spend together over the upcoming holidays, the better—or so Yu thought, but the last thing she expected was to spend that time at Kurosaki-kun’s house! Not only is his house larger than Yu ever imagined, his dad is larger-than-life, too… With double the devils, this is bound to be a winter break to remember!

Man.... This shit is REALLY starting to grate on my last nerves. I'm cool with the whole 'is he, isn't he?'/ 'dom-sub' relationship type shit, THAT'S totally ok, BUT it's getting to a point where it's starting to go beyond that, and into an abusive/unhealthy and really NOT enjoyable read for me. I feel SO bad for this main girl and I WANT it to "work out" between the two, if only because she likes him, BUT it's beginning to push buttons I didn't even know I had in me. I'll stick it out for a lil while longer yet and see what happens next because it IS a semi-decent story, BUT for as fucked up as I am inside, even THIS story is starting to cross a line that I'm just not ok with crossing... Struggles are necessary to make a good compelling story, but hurt people hurt people, and I DON'T wanna waste MY time reading about THAT kinda shit! The world is fucked up enough as it is. Work on the dialog more, and stop using so much filler with the whole "Omg! You're SOOOO cool!" and "You're so cute! Squeeeaaalll!" bit. It's really getting obnoxious to read continuously. Maybe it's a cultural thing, Idk, but I've never seen people fanclub others so hardcore like that, that they're chasing them thru the school halls and beyond just because they're "hawt". It's REALLY fucking annoying! OK, Ok.. We GET it! The school kids love ALL the beautiful people. Do we REALLY have to waste even more pages of each chapter driving this point further home?! Ffs... Even the rapey "I hate you" vibe at the beginning was better than THIS current shit. Ugh......smh. This might truly be the very FIRST manga I DNF and that's NEVER happened before (unless, of course, I hit a paywall. Lol). Good, bad, ugly, I ALWAYS finish it, but this.... Tsk* Our main girly deserves WAY better than THIS current treatment!

I devoured all 19 volumes of Defying Kurosaki-kun over the last week. This is a beautiful story of Yu and Haruto's relationship as it grows from nothing to sweet romance. Haruto's always been a loner except for Takumi who's been his only friend until Yu comes into his life. The story is about the relationship between Yu and Haruto but Takumi is such a intricate part of the story.
I really loved Yu as a character she's this bright ball of sunshine who's reinvented herself now that she's in high school and growing so much into this character you just cheer on. Haruto is cold and demanding in the beginning but we get to see him slowly start to grow as the series progresses. He builds friendships, reconnects to his family and he learns so show Yu how much she means to him.
I truly enjoyed the series even if I had a few moments where I wanted to reach through the book and stab Haruto for being stupid. it's a whirlwind sweet love story that I'm so sad to see ending. I wish that this series wouldn't have ended because I wanted more of Yu and Haruto's story. I wanted Takumi to find his happy ever after too. I do hope maybe one day we will get more. This is one of my top favorite series. Highly recommend if you are a fan of the grumpy/sunshine trope it fits really well. The artwork is beautifully done. I loved it so much the whole story.
When the reader was introduced to Kurosaki’s dad, we can see that the fruit doesn’t fall far from the trees. Now everything suddenly become clear to me. His dad is just tsundere. He’s a lil confused right know but he got the spirit.
The white prince is hella brave to ignore his feelings and pretend to be alright. I feel like he deserves some closure or something coz he’s obviously holding back and waiting for the black prince to fuck up.
I'm so tired of this. dropped. kurosaki can shove this attitude of his up into his ass. no background childhood should justify those kind of actions towards someone who clearly cherish you so hard. I mean, is he dumb or something for being good at everything but not being able to care properly for the person he likes? and also calling that person a fido and derivatives?
I gave this ten-volumes-chance to change my opinion about it. took long enough.
First off, Kuros dad is adorable. I wasn't expecting him to be so worried over his son. Ridiculous. Its wild seeing the white prince so flustered but I love his friendship with the mc.
The last page made my heart skip. Just when I think nothing is going to happen, ROMANCE. BOOM. Absolutley wild.
Omg Kurosaki needs a class on how to be a bf… lol And dammit I don’t want to feel sorry for Shirakawa and his unrequited love!!!! Nooo! But he really shouldn’t wait around for Kurosaki to f*ck it up..
How long could this possibly be drawn out? I’m in it for a few more I think. I see the MC H changing, which is not something that would happen in real life. 3, I’m still enjoying the ride, stars.

Genuinely don’t think this dude even likes this girl… at least he stopped calling her Fido??… I’m still gonna devour the rest of the series regardless.
