The stories in this set are not related. The first is about missing young girls, some are runaways living on the street and have drug addiction in common. The under cover police woman tasked with solving the crimes has her own addiction to deal wth. It grabs your attention and keeps you reading way past bed time. The next one revolves around a chain letter for an upcoming class reunion. There were problematic issues with the details in some scenes and as the story unfolds there are a great many mistakes in grammar. Like traffic jams, going along and bam, stop - reread - correct it and reread again. I hope that he will find a reliable editor. His story ideas leave me wanting to read more.

I wish I could review and rate each of the books separately since they are not related stories.

The Sleeping Girls is about an female vice squad officer who is battling addiction and is trying to hunt down a serial killer who is killing other addicted girls.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat guessing, second guessing and still not being totally correct in who the killer was until the very end.

The story flowed well, the plot was well thought out, grammar was awesome...everything just fit.

I would give it 5 stars on its own merits.

The second book -

The Secret Letter -

The basics is that a chain letter is being sent to various alumni (I think) from a high school. Victoria receives the letter -however the return address is a lady's address who was just found dead in the lake.

This book has promise of being another great read but the story did not flow, there were a LOT of grammar errors, misspelled words etc to the point I would have to re-read a section again to make sure I was understanding the plot.

This reads like a first book that someone has published without an editor.

I would rate this one a 1 star.

Since the books are combined, that drops the rating down to 3 stars.

Being a Kindle Unlimited Member, I am thankful I did not purchase this book collection - I would probably be asking for a refund.

Wonderfully written boxset that contains 2 gruesome stories, which exactly why I read them! If you love the horror genre then you should love this boxset as this author is one of my favourites to read. The stories move along at a nice steady pace and keep you guessing as to how they are going to end. Great writing as usual.

Fast paced thriller!

This book is quick to grab your interest and just continues to increase its grip. It's a great story that despite the horrific crimes committed it also tells the story of just how far reaching the consequences of actions can affect others. Would like to read more about these characters.

Advise

Both books were pretty good reads after you got past all the errors in the type set-up. Many wrong words and misspellings. My advise is to have this copy highly edited as soon as possible.

Haunting tale.

Revenge for an innocent and troubled young man. This was well written. You will want to keep up into the night reading this book. My only criticism there are many gramatical errors. I am sure a reedit would benefit the author.
