Rate this book
BOOK ONEBrent is acting as a bodyguard to the daughter of a man who’s been accused of embezzling millions. It would be a cushy job, if it weren’t for Elana’s insistence on proving her father’s innocence—and on seducing him for fun. Brent is trying to keep his cool and maintain a professional distance. He figures he’s along for the ride, keeping Elana safe as she pokes her nose where it doesn’t belong— Until she learns too much about her father’s business dealings, and Brent realizes that the ghosts in his past have come back to haunt him.BOOK TWOWhen Flash is assigned to protect A-list actress Crimson Foster, he thinks this job will be a breeze. After all, Crimson has holed up in a secure and private condo across the country from the Hollywood scene, and doesn’t seem to want to leave—ever. But as news breaks that Crimson is the principal witness in a scandal that’s about to rock Hollywood, it becomes clear that someone is keeping close tabs on her to intimidate her into shutting her mouth and keeping her accusations to herself.BOOK THREEWhen Sam is hired by a CEO to investigate a leak within his own company, she’s happy to oblige, especially when it means working with sexy and sweet executive assistant Russell. But as Sam begins to uncover ties to the mob within the company, she realizes that she’s entangling both herself and her company in a web of crime and deception. Sam must figure out who she can trust—and who’s out to get her—before she and her friends at Painted Wolf become embroiled deep enough in organized crime that there will be no escape.BOOK FOURAndre’s not at all thrilled that his company has now been hired to work for local mob boss Uncle Ross. He’s not comfortable in the gray area that is protecting a known criminal, and he’s even less thrilled when he’s assigned to serve as bodyguard to Ross’s daughter. As Andre becomes more and more attached to Fiona, he and his team must find a way to protect Fiona, while disentangling themselves from the criminal connections that could leave them beholden forever to criminals and murderers. Can Andre figure out how to keep his team—and his new girlfriend—on the straight and narrow before it’s too late?BOOK FIVEWhen team leader Derrek finally discovers the whereabouts of his long-lost girlfriend, he’s ready to charge down to Brazil to save her. She disappeared years ago along with Derrek’s business partner and best friend, and he’s been looking for them ever since. He’s concerned that his girlfriend Celia may have been kidnapped by a company he used to work for, and feels terrible that she may be paying for things that he did in his past. But when Derrek finds Celia in Brazil, everything isn’t as it seems.

Oh, heaven save me from incompetent security people. This group was awful. They seemed to have no sense at all! At one point, they are in the Brazilian jungle tracking a hostage with no supplies. No water, no food, no machete. Their “tech guy” gets sent out as a body guard. The kick ass girl, never kicks ass. All of their plans go sideways and the back up plan goes up in smoke. I would never trust these people with any type of security work. I realize it’s a book, but my word, they were beyond inept in most cases.

The characters were described once in the opening book and very rarely were their physical features mentioned, so it was hard to keep a picture in my head of what the H and h in a particular book looked like. That makes it so much harder to relate to the characters- for me anyway.

Maybe I’ll try the next box set, if I get desperate.

Their names speaks to their bond and wild side - not a shifter book

The men and women of Painted Wolf Security will make you laugh and scream at their stubbornness. They are a family with all the love, fighting and craziness that comes with it. One by one the operatives fall for their clients. In the course of their work they tangle with the mob, crooked military officials and arms dealers. Not only do they have to survive their cases but also each other as they fight to save their loved ones.

Talk about impossible situations!

What a tangled web! Every book takes you to the brink of believing there is no way out. But each time the author weaves together an even more incredible escape. This is a group of individuals who work well together. They have each other's back and they prove it time and again. I enjoyed reading this series and getting to know these characters. What amazing twists to the story line. Really keeps you engaged.

Ok

This series was okay. I liked the suspense but I would have liked this series more if I had the thoughts from each of the characters. I guess I kind of got spoiled by other authors. Otherwise I made it through this series. I hope the others are better. These guys weren't alpha and they seemed like a mess. I like my guys more alpha than these guys were. Thank you.

This is about as slow and sleepy as a hurricane and tornado combined.

Action yes. Danger yes. Great cast yes. Romance yes. Last story is long and has so so ending. But, taken from the beginning it does not slow down. The author is one heck of a writer. I tip my hat to her.

Romantic Security

Theses books were so good I lost sleep too many nights. I am usually a avid paranormal reader, but I also mystery and thrillers. I get a little of both reading all the security books also. I am happy to recommend these books to read and enjoy.

Lots of action.

This book starts out kinda slow. In fact I thought seriously about stopping & chucking the book after the first 2 stories. Love stories, but not much else. Glad I stuck & read the 3rd one. It got better & better.

Great series.

Five very different people tell their stories about danger and love. I think the author did a terrific job giving each characteristic own unique voice. Flash's story was my favourite. He's hilarious!

Name of book better than the book?

I liked the lead characters I the company. And a couple of the partners, but not much. Stories to busy and convoluted. No way would they all survive after all the crap they went through.
