The world of Castre is always surprising and the adventures the heroines lead us upon are always filled with peril and uncertainty but filled with much love! Wow!! So much warfare in this! I'm not quite used to constant battles from this author, but she expertly carried it through. My favorite part was the magical map towards the end! It was so cool watching it change. I loved that the shifters were brought into this! And the other unique beings! This was loaded with paranormally elements. Devan was very entertaining! She really did let the wind carry her this way and that. I was so sad for her when her husband died. And finding love so soon after that loss makes sense for the plot to continue on. Seeing the other prior characters featured is always exciting! I love to read how they are fairing and what is happening to them. I adore Ms. Shanniak's writing!! Her unique world is fascinating and filled with wonder!!

Loved reading about another sister. Exciting fights and a young woman that stood her ground. She didn't let anyone change her values.
