This is the second book in the Unforgiven Country series and new to me as I hadn’t read it when it was previously released.
Colt was introduced in the first book, he has a chip on his shoulder and feels hard done by after he feels his father was the rightful alpha of their pack. He has decided to leave the pack and make a life away from them until he meets Jasinda his one true mate. Only she is from a different pack and he knows that trouble is on its way. Is there anyone that he can turn too or will he have to fight alone?
Jasinda is the daughter of a powerful alpha and he has promised her to his second ion command knowing that she wants to find her true mate not to be sold she runs determined to make a life on heer terms but that is until she meets Colt and realises that she has met her mate. Will she be able to have the life she wanted or will her pack and father hunt her down and ruin her future before its really started?
Fast paced read with all the feels, looking forward to Stark’s story.

Unexpected mating😁
Colt is currently a lone wolf and feels detached from his Pack since Wyatt took over as Alpha. After Wyatt found his mate, he moved further into seclusion. Out one night running as his wolf, he scents her but when he finds her, he can’t figure out why she fears him. So he decides to track her once he’s more presentable💕
Jasinda is on the run from her Pack, since her father decided to betroth her to a male who is not her fated mate. When she arrives in her new town, she’s surprised when her mate tracks her to her motel😍
A good, quick bite sized story but not as good as the first one in my opinion but I still enjoyed Colt and Jasinda and loved the epilogues....too sweet❣️

I hadn't read this when it was first released under another name so this was new to me. I loved this story. Colt and Jasinda were hot together and even though they had to fight for each other, you knew they would be together. These 2 authors always give their readers an HEA! Will be waiting for the next book.

Good book
I enjoyed Jasinda and Colt's story. The bond between them was strong. Their attraction was instant and the chemistry between them was sexy and sweet. They were great together. They made a strong pair.

As the description says, "Please note this book was previously published as "The Wolf's Forbidden Mate", but contains some all new content." That was under the name Jenny Carson. From other reviews, I'm assuming that's a pen name for the two authors listed for this book (Jenika Snow and Jordan Marie). ???
Be aware the only content changes from the previous version (yes, I read both) are the author's name(s), an additional epilogue, and a preview of book three in the Unforgiven Country series, a paranormal Hot Bites series.

While I enjoyed the previous book in the series (The Wolf's Innocent Mate / His Innocent Mate), I prefer this story to that. The characters were more interesting and there was more to their story. Colt and Jasinda's story was also sweeter.
If you like short (about 50 pages) shifter stories, you'll like this. It's the perfect size for that quick, sexy read. (All the Hot Bites are.)
One nitpicky thing... There were two typos that jumped out at me -- one that drove me to the dictionary where I learned a new word that confirmed what was there was a typo. They were in the original issue of the book, too. The copyright page to this reissue differs from the original's with addition of a listed proofreader. Other than being noticeable, the typos don't detract from nor ruin the story. i just found it funny.

Colt is introduced in ‘His Innocent Mate’ Unforgiven Country #1, when he refused to accept Wyatt as his alpha.

They were both training to assume control, to rule the pack together, as a team. Right before Wyatt’s father passed, he elevated Wyatt to Alpha, totally disregarding Colt’s father’s rightful place. Then he passed away, and Wyatt became Alpha. There was an unexpected pull of power, placing a strain strain between them, driving a wedge that stripped friends apart, making them enemies. And then, when Colt’s father passed away things worsened. There was no further discussion of togetherness, the bitterness that had festered in both of us too much to smooth over, too deep to even repair.
Jasinda is a wolf-shifting runaway escaping from her family, and her pack. Arriving in the mountain town, Unforgiven Country. She left, escaped her duties, turned her back on her pack, her father, and the man she is betrothed to, treated as a pawn, a mere commodity.

From Colt's appearance in the first book, I knew there must be more to him - and there was. In this story, we find out more about Colt's past with Wyatt, and how their lives and the lives of their fathers unfolded within the pack.
Jasinda was running away from an arranged marriage to the next pack alpha (who was NOT her fated mate), but instead found herself with a dead car and running into her fated mate.
Another good story with likable, believable characters. It was great to see Wyatt and Kendra again.
I was very happy to see Colt get his mate, to see Jasinda reconciled with her family, and to see hope for Wyatt and Colt to be friends and pack-mates again.
I felt this story didn't have the same depth of power and emotion the first story had, but it didn't have any gaping plot holes to drag you out of the story either - so it evens out. Also, this story seems more "believable" (keeping in mind this is a paranormal werewolf story!) then Kendra's surprise ending in the first book - so, a solid 3 stars.
The 3rd book in the series is supposed to be Stark's story, and I'm looking forward to reading it.

A forbidden mating is book two in the unforgiven country series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. This book is Colts story whom we met briefly in book one and were left with questions. Jasinda is on the run from her alpha father and an arranged meeting when she meets her mate whilst on the run. She has always wanted to meet her fated mate but now she has him, will she trust him to protect her.
I did see some chemistry between Jasinda and Colt. The passion between them was clear to see, I just wish that there were more scenes of them as a couple. I wish this story was a little longer.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Her father shows up to take her away the next day but Wyatt and his brothers show up but they still don’t leave so she reminds him that she wants love not an alliance with another wolf she doesn’t love and that causes a fight between Stark and Colt which she gets into as well. After they’ve broken up she reminds her father of her mother and the love he had for her is the same she has for Colt and his father agrees with her and says his apologies and then leaves in peace. Great epilogue.

This is the second book in the paranormal, shifter Unforgiven Country series. It is a sweet short story. Even though it's in a series, it can be read as a standalone.
We met the hero, Colt, in the previous book. He has a lot of anger and angst in the beginning, but finding his mate makes him whole again. Jasinda, the heroine, is fleeing from a forced engagement. They meet and it's instalove goodness.
While the story is short, it's complete and the characters are well-rounded. There is explicit language and sex.
This is a safe read with no cheating and no OW/OM drama.
At the end, we meet the hero of the next book and I can't wait to read his story!

Although we met Colt in book 1 of this series, you don’t have to read that book to enjoy this one....I don’t think this book is as good as HIS INNOCENT MATE, but it’s still a good book...♥️🌼🔥

I went ahead and read this book since it was short and I wanted find out about Colt. I gave this one lower marks than first book, because there was never more explanation why Wyatt didn’t share a Alpha or make him his second. I really wish they would have combined the books and wrote a novel, about all four of them. I really liked how they were written and storyline, but they were just to short.

Where can i get a Colt
So colt was the bomb . TOTAL awesome shifter read with lots of hotness. Its a great 5 star shifter i loved it. Jas was a great female protecting her man cause she didnt want to lose him. This is a read and reread because the ending was adorable. Now i wont spoil it but i love my Happily ever afters

Could have been
It could have been. For being book 2 in a series, it jumped. The flow and storyline was broken repeatedly. There are many questions, that I fear will distract and hamper any other books to come in this series. It could have been so much better. A big let down from book 1 in this series.

A forbidden Mating
Great read. I love shifter books to begin with so add in some steam and love that’s just true cherry on top! I would have loved to learn a little more about Colt and Wyatt background though. That was a bit of a tease. Overall a great book with a super cute happy ending.

Very Touching Story
This is a short story but great. I would have liked the story to have book length but u can’t have all your wishes come true. Even though it is short the characters are well developed and the story line keeps your attention. Hopefully this author will expand to looong novel. Thanks for sharing your writing with us.

Perfect for a quiet afternoon read!
Another hit for this amazing author duo! They were able to pack a little bit of everything in this quick story about Jasinda and Colt and them stumbling upon each other at a time when they needed fate's help the most so they could both find the elusive HEA.

Jacinda and Colt
Jacinda run from her family, her pack. Her father, the alpha of their wolf pack, promised her in marriage to the man he had chosen as the next alpha, totally obliterating her chance as happiness with a fated mate. The last thing she expected was to finally find him or that he would have to fight to keep her. Highly recommended

Sweet and cute
This book has more of a plot to the story, unlike the first one. We got to get a glimpse at their character, before they meet. Also I loved that her father was in the story, and Colt and Wyatt are brothers again. I also like understanding why he was so upset in first book. Was confusing. These should be put and sold together. Great fun.

Colt and Jasinda are from different packs but circumstances have them meeting their fate.
I enjoyed reading this novella and loved Colt and Jasinda's bond.

Yup, bitten and stirred. That’s what happens whenever I get my hands on a Hot Bites novella by Jenika Snow and Jordan Marie!
These two ladies can rewrite the dictionary and they will still be able to come out with a smoking hot story, they’re that good!
