This book about the operations of the Afrika Korps was written by a German officer mainly for the study by American military strategists. Therefore, it is pretty dry and packed full of daily operations. Though it's not a thriller, it does fully convey the Afrika Korps extraordinary punch. I think this would be best as a resource or for someone who is seeking an analysis of the North African war in the winter of 1941.
