The Northern Pines Den series is an mpreg shifter series about found families, finding joy after pain, and the yummy scents of fated mates!
The Northern Pines Den of bears found a solid ally in the newly formed Northern Lodge wolf pack - and together they face a foe as fierce as she is evil: the den Alpha's estranged sister.
Through their connection with the wolves, the den finds mates who breathe new life into their traditional ways, though opening their hearts leaves them easy targets for their enemies - but the den will do whatever it takes to protect their own.
This bundle contains the final three books in this best-selling series - all books are fully re-edited and guaranteed to give a serious case of the feels!
Included:
Alpha's Wolf - A story of an unconventional pair. Alpha bear Liam is a lover, not a fighter, who runs a B&B, while omega wolf Frankie the Fingers is a former military intelligence operative who is currently helping Mikael track down his rogue sister. The fated pair - literally - run into each other in the midst of a storm from hell. With no Wi-Fi and cell reception, a possible traitor in the den, Liam's inability to slow down at the B&B, and Frankie's compulsive need to trace the rogue, how can they each unwind enough to take a mate?
Alpha's Redemption - Alpha jaguar Hector leaves Belize and arrives in Mills Creek seeking his formerly betrothed mate only to find himself embroiled in the rogue war. All the local bear shifters will die without Hector's empathic gift, a legacy that has passed through his family from ancient times. Sweet, lonely Drew is an omega bear who yearns to see the world that Hector has seen, but first they must protect the ones they love by finding a way to end the Rogue War.
Alpha's Solstice - Ten years after the Rogue War ended, revisit each and every couple from the Northern Lodge Pack and The Northern Pines Den. Kai and Taylor, each the Alpha Mate of their respective communities, will join forces to plan the party to end all parties. From yule logs to bonfires, crazy aunties to placid betas, cubs and pups, too...all of the shifters you know and love will be there for the holiday!
These books are all intended for 18+ listeners only. It's advised to listen to the series in order for maximum appreciation. And yes, this book contains M/PREG, knotting, adults adulting in sexy naughty ways, and way more than the occasional use of potty mouth language! Caution: contains violent scenes and mentions of death, as the pack is at war.
I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
The audiobook version of Susi Hawke’s Northern Pines Den, Alphas Books 4-6 is the final three books of the series bundled together, narrated by John Solo. I’ve enjoyed listening to these characters find their fated mates and blend their dens together to create families. Plus there’s a satisfying conclusion to the drama established in the opening book, Alpha’s Heart.
The fourth book, Alpha’s Wolf, is my favorite of the series. These two unique characters don’t fall into the typical stereotypes - a strong, self assured omega who’s not a virgin, and a nurturing alpha who loves to care for others. They make a wonderful pair and watching them fall in love is so much fun.
I was thrilled to see a jaguar shifter return to the series in the fifth book, Alpha’s Redemption. Hector is like a big daddy taking care of everyone in the pack, but dayum between the sheets he’s a mighty fine dirty-talker! And sweet, sweet Drew has a naughty side that I loved. It’s a perfect match.
In the last book of the series, Alpha’s Solstice, we catch up to everyone ten years later. As much as I enjoyed finding out how everyone’s doing, it just got me curious to see if Ms. Hawke is planning a “next generation” of this series. The hints about the twin alpha/twin omega pairings would make a great story, so I hope we see it in the near future.
John Solo does a great job giving each of these guys a distinct voice. It’s a true testament to his skill the way he moves between the characters so effortlessly, and his female voices (as always) are excellent. Mr. Solo’s contribution to this series definitely enhanced the whole experience, and if you’re a fan of audio books I definitely recommend it.
an audiobook copy of Northern Pines Den, Alphas Books 4-6 was provided to me for the purpose of my review
I like having all the stories in one box set. I also like that we learn more about the war that the bears and the wolves are dealing with, and the mystical aspects that pop in.
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. Each book in this collection is reviewed separately.
Alpha’s Wolf - This book was great. I loved how Frankie and Liam met when Frankie nearly hit Liam in his Jeep in a rain storm. I really enjoyed that Frankie was a alpha sized omega which is different than the previous stories especially for the wolves as their omegas are more compact sized. I also loved that he hated anything to do with traditional omega like cooking but Liam his alpha is the cook at the B&B that he owns so it works out great for them. I loved their plan on delegating like Liam will do all the cooking and when they have cubs Liam is happy to look after them and Frankie will deal with them when their teenagers, but they both wouldn’t be able to not be involved in looking after and loving any cubs they’re blessed with. I loved that this book featured more magic with Frankie being from one of the original omega lines which makes him great with numbers that makes him so awesome with his computer hacking and he’s also a healer. I loved that he’s not meant to share his healing gifts with anyone who isn’t a founding family apart from his mate but at only the right time. I loved the relationship between Frankie and Jules. I’m happy that Frankie and Liam gave a home to Drew when he asked if he could stay there as he doesn’t want to go back to the den by himself since his best friend mated his alpha sister, they kind of adopted him. I’m looking forward to see what happens in their fight/war with the Rogues and Drew deserves to find his happy ever after, after losing so much.
Alpha’s Redemption - It was cool to finally meet Hector whose dad is the Chieftain who tried to purchase Diego as a mate before he fled. He came to America after having prophetic dreams featuring Diego’s face, he knew he had to locate Diego but it had nothing to do with their arranged mating he just wanted to know if Diego was happy and safe as in his dream he looked extremely upset plus Hector felt like he had to be at the Den for some reason. It became clearer when he met Liam and Frankie and his fated mate Drew. Both Frankie and Hector are from the original lines Frankie’s gift pass from omega to omega and Hector’s gifts pass from alpha to alpha. I loved how perfect Hector and Drew are together, as Drew’s always dreamed of travelling the world and Hector does that constantly but his home base is in his village in Belize since he’s the Chieftain’s son and them both loving pretty underwear, Drew loves wearing it and Hector loves admiring it. I loved Drew’s labour/ birth situation and being in the B&B’s dining room when labour hit full force. I loved how magical their cubs are and can’t wait to see what’s in store for them and Frankie and Liam’s twins. I would’ve loved a bit more on their trip to Belize and Jules, Sean and Colin and Diego and Stefan’s trip back home after they both fleeing when their uncle and dad trying to force them into arranged matings.
Alpha’s Solstice - I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved seeing what’s everyone been up to in the decade since the war with the Rogues ended, how their families have grown since they were first introduced and I’m really glad that the Pack and the Den are still close allies, even though had no doubts that they would be. I also loved getting snippets of each fated mate couple as they find a few moments together in between dealing with the pubs and cubs.
I’d definitely recommend this collection, each book in the series and author to everyone.
It was a nice change that Liam, the Alpha bear, was the one who cooked and wanted to be more on the background while his mate, Frankie, the wolf shifter, was the nerdy tech, more battle-ready of the two since he'd been in the military with Jules. They really fit well with each other, though, and as has been the case with the other couples (or throuples) in the series, they're hot together.
I'm really enjoying the continuing arc with Yvonne, especially now that we finally meet her, and while I had been fooled by Tommy, the rogue shifter, I had no clue of who he really was. Damn!
This was my favorite of the three stories included in this bundle.
Alpha's Redemption: (Hector & Drew)
Kinkier than the previous books, but very, very hot! A bit of Daddy kink, spanking and loads of chemistry between Hector and Drew, who, despite their age difference were pretty well matched. I loved that Drew felt comfortable enough to be sassy with Hector and how his confidence grew from when we met him in the previous book.
Things got set up for the final showdown against Yvonne and Tommy, which I was looking forward to. Unfortunately, it was kind of blink and you miss it. I was expecting something a bit more well, just more. It was pretty anticlimactic after so many books leading to it. At least the baddies lost, which is something, I guess. *shrugs*
While I liked Hector & Drew, I was disappointed by how quickly things got resolved with the rogue pack and Yvonne.
Alpha's Solstice - Everyone
This was a lovely way to wrap up these two series (Northern Lodge Pack and Northern Pines Den) and leave the door open for a new one set in the future. It was fun and steamy and gave us a glimpse into the future of all the couples we've met throughout both series. I'm really intrigued over what else Ms. Hawke might have in store for us in this 'verse.
Re.: The Narration: John Solo did a fantastic job, not only in this bundle but throughout the series bringing all these couples and characters (and there's a lot of those) come to life. He brought the necessary emotion to every scene and damn, if he didn't manage to make all those hot knotting scenes even hotter! *fans self*
I hadn't read these books before starting with the first Northern Pines Den bundle and while I might have been a bit lot when the guys from the Northern Lodge Pack appeared, I have no trouble recommending these audiobooks. They're entertaining, hot and action-packed and definitely ones I'll come back and revisit at some point.
I loved that the Alpha had more of Omega tendencies & the Omega had more Alpha tendencies. Liam & Frankie are perfect for each other. It's nice to see the Alpha loving to cook & take care of his B&B rather then fight. Frankie was a bad*** Omega who was retired military. We get our first glimpse of the first families, not much just a hint. My only real complaint is, after all you went through you didn't leave a guard on her?? I would have made sure that room was well guarded, inside & out.
Alpha's Redemption
4 stars
We have Hector coming to town under the pretense of finding the Omega, Diego, that was promised to him in marriage. Hector assures Diego that this was done against his wishes and that he is glad that Diego is safe & happy. While in his hotel room, he gets a whiff of his fated mate, Drew. All Drew wants is to find his fated mate and have children to love. He is still traumatized in the death of his fathers. If they only would have listened to him and not head out the day they died. Drew broke my heart. But once he meets Hector, he finds all that he has ever wanted. My only real compliant on this one is, Yovonne's death was almost anticlimactic. I would have liked a bigger battle. I've started the Blood Legacy Chronicle so I've seen some of the kids grown up and finding their own mates, but, it's been nice getting to see their dad's meeting.
Alpha's Solstice
5 stars
10 years after the rogue war, we see everyone come together to celebrate the Solstice. There is a lot of pregnancies going on. This was a great way to wrap up this series. There is more with all the spin-offs, especially seeing the children grow & find their fated mates.
I loved John Solo's narration. Also glad that the last 3 books were bundle in the audio release so that we can just flow from one story to the next.
Audio ARC provided by LesCourt Services in exchange for an honest review.
This is a "true" fated mates story. Liam is an Alpha who runs a B&B in town. Frankie is an ex-military Omega who is a loner and doesn't trust anyone. When a storm hits, and communications are down, Frankie must leave his safe place and travel to see Mikael to relay information about his sister's whereabouts. While traveling, the storm makes the roads more dangerous than Frankie believed, and he almost literally ran his car into Liam who was returning from the den lands. As soon as they are exposed to each other, Frankie trusts him implicitly. It works out perfectly for them, because Liam is the nurturing, cooking, and willing to raise the pups kind of Alpha, while Frankie is the protective, strong and ex-military Omega.
Alpha's Redemption
When the Alpha who Diego was promised to shows up at the B&B, Stefan and the others expect trouble. That is, until he explains that he was drawn there for reasons unknown to him; and that's when he sees Drew. They are perfect for each other, especially since Drew will be expected to move to Hector's Homeland and travel the world with him. He's always wanted to travel. The only thing they have to do first is end the Rogue War.
That leads me back to one piece of the puzzle I left out. There is a new facet to the series introduced in these first two books. Frankie and Hector's lineage traces back to the first lines, and grants them special powers that are going to be key in winning the war and in their own offspring.
Alpha's Solstice
This is a big reunion of sorts, a decade after the war ended. It's a gigantic party where every pair from both the wolves and the bears (and the kitties) are revisited. And, oh boy! There are a lot of surprises in store for our Alphas, betas, and omegas.
I thought the narrator did a good job. He has been constant throughout the series.
This was a true mate insta-connection. They're all still after Mikael's crazy sister and have finally, hopefully found a way to capture her and even restrain her. But there are a few twists and turns.
I liked how Liam and Frankie had opposite roles for the most part then what was expected for an Alpha and Omega. The two work really well together and I’m glad they found each other.
#5 Drew and Hector (4 Stars)
This one was mainly about the couple until it wasn’t. For a long while there wasn’t much talk about Mikael’s crazy sister, but the occasional chat on planning an attack. So, for most of the story we hear about Drew and Hector and then all of a sudden there ready to attack. I was a little disappointed in how it all played out and how quick it was.
#6 Conclusion 10 years later (4 Stars)
I wasn’t into this one as much as the other stories. I didn’t like that they waited 10 years to celebrate. I understand why, but I still think it was too long of a wait. It was nice to see a conclusion to all the couples and their children.
John Solo did an amazing job. He was clear to understand and I loved how he change voices for each character.
I really enjoyed these books and finally seeing the war come to an end. The first book is focused on Liam and Frankie. They are a spectacular couple who aren't your typical alpha/omega. Liam, the alpha, loves to cook at the B&B he owns, and Liam, the omega, is an ex-military hacker. The next book focuses on Drew and Hector. Drew is such a sweet character you just can't help but love him and rejoice when he finds his fated mate, Hector. Hector is just perfect for Drew and will help him realize all of his dreams. The final book is my absolute favorite of the whole series as it brings together all of the couples not just from this series but also from The Northern Lodge Pack series. It takes place 10 years after the war has ended and it was great to catch up with all of the characters. The narrator did a spectacular job with all of the voices especially in the final book with so many different characters all together in one story. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.
This bundle was the conclusion for the Northern Pine Den Alphas while also setting us up for the next series, The Blood Legacy Chronicles. These books contain violence due to the Rogue War, but it also ends on a super sweet and fluffy Yuletide party that acts as a big epilogue. We get to revisit with all our favorite characters from Northern Pack Lodge and Northern Pine Den. This series is fun, easy reading, and full of fluff and sex. I like reading these stories as a bundle since it helps with the flow of the stories.
Narration: I also listened to this bundle on audiobook after I read the series. John Solo should be given an award for his performance in Alpha’s Solstice! The amount of voices he had to do and remember was incredible. I really enjoyed listening to this series. John Solo brought the characters to life.
Overall Rating: 3.75 Stars. I’m sad to see this series end. The characters are wonderful and the writing was decent. I really enjoyed it.
This was the end of one fun series of how the bears , wolves and jaguars all joined , mated and fought a terrible war against rouge mercenaries. The last book takes place ten years after the final battle and gives us an update on how all our mated couples turned out along with all their children. It also gives us a hint of what will come in a new series, the Legacy Chronicles which I read first then realized there was this earlier story. It didn't spoil the enjoyment to reverse the series but just know the order. Loved all the characters and the origin stories. Ms. Hawke has a wonderful imagination and is a good author. I will read any series she writes.
This second bundle of stories was a fantastic collection that's a definite must read. With outstanding and quirky characters, unexpected matings, love, laughter, family, great friends, hilarious situations, mystery, and suspenseful twists you won't want to miss. This has been a perfect ending to this awesome series! I would highly recommend this book, series, and terrific author.
Resolution I love the fact that we are able to continue to have couples meet and start their relationships. We find out about new levels of shifter history. There was a lot of tension as we moved through the stages of the war and it was good to have things resolved. I loved the finally book in the series that was like an epilogue for all the previous stories in both series's and also some foreshadowing of things to come.
The story continues with more fated mates finding each other, and the battle with Yvonne and the Rogues reaches its conclusion. To top it all off we end the series with the Winter Solstice celebration to end all celebrations. Along with a baby boom and a glimpse into where the future may lead.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Free Kindle Unlimited series and look forward to reading more by this author.
This is the second bundle of the Northern Pined Den Alphas series... and it's just as amazing. It finally concludes the drama of Mikael's sister and her war with our guys. It introduces us to a new magical aspect of the shifters. It is definitely a satisfying and recommended read.
Susi is a master at giving us full stories in a short amount of time. This set of stories are just as good if not better than the first Northern Pine bundle. I loved Frankie and Liams story the best!! Her stories are on the shorter side but they have everything I look for. These three stories are full of alpha/omega sweetness!!
This was a very creative and enjoyable bundle. The characters were all so captivating and engaging and I was so happy when the Alpha's evil sister, Yvonne, was finally dealt with in such a gratifying manner. The last book was especially heartwarming and sweet. I was almost sad to say goodbye to all these wonderful shifters. I loved it. =)
A cute story, even with a little drama, that revisited the shifters from the series. It was interesting to see all the couples from Kai and Jake to Hector and Drew and their offspring.
Seriously enjoying this group of series. I kinda wished that I’d started at the very beginning but oh well! Saving the last series for another time! I highly recommend these books if you enjoy Mpreg! Do yourself a favor and start with the Northern Lodge Pack Omegas books! Happy reading
Although I’ve read these titles individually I couldn’t resist getting them in this box set for an amazing price and to make re reads super easy as there is a huge continuing story arc
Sweet, sexy, insta-love stories that loosely follow the Northern Lodge Pack Omegas (7 books in that series also). Each series should be read in order but you don't have to read both series, just best read in order if you do.
I loved the first three books and now I finished the last three. The tales of horror, loss and love is powerful. I’m so glad that I decided to read this series. Thanks Susi
Alpha’s Wolf - I loved Liam and Frankie! I think Frankie was one of my favorite characters! I love the juxtaposition of size and 'rank' and ingrained 'role' even in Alpha/Omega stories. I've been loving this collection and each couple has been great and I've loved the overarching 'war' storyline!
Alpha’s Redemption - I do love John's narration of the Jaguars in this series. I love the unique accent! Another great pairing and I'm so glad Drew found his Alpha, he's such a sweetie! The end of the rouge war is intense and Susi did so well in staying true to each character and pairing that I was saddened for Alpha Mikael in the end but a fierce battle was fought.
Alpha’s Solstice - The perfect ending!!! We get to see all the couples again and see how their lives had continued and turned out 10 years later! I loved the ability to revisit all these couples and the surprise situation they find themselves in is hilariously perfect. not many authors have done a book like this and to be able to revisit some fav characters was just wonderful, thanks, Susi!
I loved this whole series and the perfect collection of Bears, Wolves, and Jaguars!!!
