We probably read this a bit to quick, me and kiddo... But this was really such an action packed story, we couldn't stop! Especially the second half...
I thought it was pretty cool that a book about horses had inspiration from real life. In this case a police-horse named Eddie. He is a character in the book too.
First conflict is between Eddie the police horse and the mini shetland ponies that have lived their entire life in the countryside. Plus, Eddie is a regular sized horse which is a bit of a conflict issue too. But eventually they work that out and all the horses, big and small, ends up friends! There's even a cute little romance in the midst of it all!
All is well until the horse-owner's kid gets lost in the woods... And the horses has to prove their mettle!
A great story with a good fast action packed pace while also being quite fun! Best part, as with the previous in the series, is the love, respect and community all the horses and the other animals have together! They're really all like a big if deverce family! A great story!
