I devoted my life to working, building a career and business, making sure I was secure and stable in my life for the sole purpose that I’d find her, that everything would be ready and perfect for her.
My mate.
The one woman who would complete me.
The one woman who was born to be mine alone.
Watching my brothers find their other halves hadn’t been easy, but I knew I would never give up. I couldn’t. My mate would make all the bullshit disappear. She’d make my life have a purpose. And that’s the only thing that mattered to a bear shifter. To me.
If there was one thing I knew without a doubt, it was that once I found her, I wouldn’t go easy. I would make her see that, once she was mine, that was it. There was no going back.
Mena
Half bear, half-human. That’s what I was.
My human side dominant. No shifting, no primal urge to be in my animal form. But I was okay with that.
I’d grown up with parents who wanted only the best for me, and that meant not being with a shifter, because of the politics that went along with it, because my father was an outcast for loving my mother—a human who wasn’t his fated mate. Love who you want. That’s what they said. That’s what they lived by.
But I needed to find myself, needed to find what I wanted out of life. And so I took an impromptu camping trip. I wanted to get away, to reconnect with my bear side, even if she was buried deep down within my human genetics.
But I wasn’t alone. He found me, this alpha grizzly bear shifter who looked at me like I was the sun he’d been searching for his entire life.
His mate.
Mine, he growled out like the feral animal he was.
And in that moment, I knew there was no going back.
This was my least favourite of the Bear Clan books so far. I know, I know, what did you expect from instant-everything, over-the-top, fated-mates, bear shifters?? I don't know, just something...more.
Any Jenika Snow book is a one click for me and I have enjoyed every one of the bear clan so far.
Cason is fearful that he will never find his mate and is thinking that he may let his bear take over and gove up hope of ever finding his true mate but after a walk he stumbles across a campsite and picks up a scent he never expected to find… she is there right in front of him his mate will she accept him or will she run from him one thing he knows is he will do anything that she wants to keep her?
Mena is coming to the end of her schooling and needs a break being a part bear shifter is something that she has never really thought about before as she has never shifted and carried on living as a human, especially after her father was shunned by his own clan for marrying a human. But feeling a need to be with nature sets off for a camping trip on her own and when Cason shows up she is drawn to him in a way that she cannot explain and there is no way that she can resist the pull she feels for him.
Great addition to the series cant wait for Damon’s Book.
“You’re my first. You’re my last. There will never be anyone else for me. Never.”
Loving this series. Virgin bear shifters....is there anything better? -dual virgins -dual POV -no cheating or abuse -possessive and obsessed H -epilogues at 1 year, 18 months and 10 years There is 1 brother left to find his mate. Damon's story is next and as always, Ms. Snow gave us just enough of a peek to keep us wanting more. Can't wait for it.
Anotner short sweet and bearlicious addition to the series. I loved the extra epilogues though this book had a lot less interaction between the brothers than the other books. Cason is a solitary guy whose bear side is becoming more and more dominant, nearing the point of turning into his bear permanently. Of course until he finds a intruder on his property. Once again everything goes at warp speed but I can’t even complain about it this time as Mena is half bear, so their being mates is not as hard to wrap her head around. I enjoyed it, looking forward to the last brothers book.
I think this has the quickest pacing/progress as everything happened in less than 24 hours. 😅 The three epilogues that come years later totally made up for the story, though.
Cason finally gets his story. Great insta-love between Cason and Mena. I love that he calls her little bear. Quick, steamy read just in time for Halloween.
It's been a while since the last time I read JS..I am being dramatic ofcourse but it felt like a long time.
Cason is engulfed in loneliness as everyone around him has found their mates and their HEAs. Mena, half bear and half human is also struggling with the sense of something missing..
And then they meet as fate intervenes..
And the rest, as they say, is beautiful, forgotten, fictional history..
Yesss!! Book 5 for this series and another couple!!!
Cason has been feeling like he would never find his mate.. he keeps wanting to turn into a bear more and more and give into his animal side but he doesnt because of his family and he still going to wait for his girl.
Mena is headed up to go camping to connect with her bear since she is half bear but her more human side is out... until she meets Cason in the woods when he stalks/protects her..
Things are very fluff and no drama.. at all. So if you wanna read this its a cool book. I honestly thought they would show drama because of her parents not being fated mates.. and stuff.. nothing..
We also see Damon pov about his mate.. and he is the last brother.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, sexy times, both virgins
Recommend- yes Cover-⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mena decides to do what she loves best but she was unprepared for how her bear side reacted to Cason. Cason is a bear shifter who knows that his mate is out there, and he just hasn’t found her yet.
From the moment that he sees Mena he knows she is the one he has been waiting for, but will she feel the same?
Hot chemistry and all the feels as these two mates find each other.
Cason and Mena have a super hot fated mate romance in Jenika Snow's The BEARy Possessive Grizzly. This is book five in the series, but can be read as a standalone. But readers will want to pick up all the books in this yummy series.
Mena is a part shifter human. Her human side is dominant and she has never shifted into a bear. Her father, a bear-shifter, has warned her off shifters - they are too possessive, controlling and not kind when a shifter falls in love with a person who isn't his or her fated mate.
Cason has long awaited his fated mate. Four of his six brothers have found their other half. He is almost convinced that she isn't out there for him and he will be alone. That is until he sniffs Mena's campfire and investigates. He finds the one meant for him.
Like most shifter stories, these two find insta-love and insta-lust. Smokin' hot. They are meant to be together and when they find each other it's what they have been waiting for.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
"The BEARly Possessive Grizzly" is the fifth installment in Jenika Snow's, Bear Clan series. It's the mating story of Cason and Mena. And unlike all the other books in the series thus far, this one features a mate who is half-shifter instead of completely human as the other mates have been. Which, in turn, sets the stage for a more instense, insta-everything, so get your fans ready because this one may just melt your kindle with its heat.
Here, Snow focuses on the growing sense of loneliness, helplessness, and jealousy and inner turmoil the remaining two brothers are dealing with. Cason especially, after having watched four brothers find their mates isolates himself, his cabin purposely built far away from the others. Feeling hopeless and pessimistic, he has given up, resigned himself to a life of solitude, and begins to spend more and more time in his animal form. So much so that he risks losing touch with his human form altogether.
This added bit of rough edged angst marked a return to the more feral natured alpha I've come to love from Snow. That coupled with a strong, fiery, shifter female lead created a far more explosive, more natural mating bond scenario. One that is allowed to unfold in all its aggressive, obsessive, and possessive glory!
Another wonderful Jenika Snow short story. And in my opinion, the best installment in the series thus far!
I was so happy to see Carson get his story. Four of his other brothers have found their mates and now just when he doesn't think he will ever finds his own mate, Mena shows up on his property. Mena is a bear shifter who has never actually shifted. She didn't think she could. Will Carson show her what is means to be his mate? This was a hot, quick and sexy read. I always love reading Ms. Snow's books because I know I'm going to get a hot and possessive alpha guy. Their women doesn't stand a chance with him! LOL. I also loved getting a little tease about the last brother and can't wait to read his book!
Mena wanted to vacation in the woods. She ends up at the right place on the private property of Cason and his brothers.
Cason has seen his brothers find mates. As a shifter he knows his mate is out there somewhere but where is she? Then he hears fire crackling on his property...
These two move fast. They know they are fated mated. Another powerful quick shifter read from Jenika. No drama just two soul mates who will have you grabbing your reader and wanting to take your next vacation in the woods. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
Cason and Mena were so good together. I loved how they came together. Mena was camping because she felt better when she was surrounded by nature but that had to do with her shifter half. Cason is watching her because he could sense that she was important to him. This was a great quick read that had plenty of steam and a well-deserved HEA for Cason and Mena. Great book and I can’t wait until book 6. I want to see all the brothers find their mates. Jenika has done it again and I can’t wait to read more of her work.
I received a free copy of this ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Change on the wind I just love these bear brothers. The author has once again given us this quick, short story all about an alpha bear and the mate he has been waiting for. This book is proof that when you think all is lost you will finally find what you are looking for. I enjoyed the instant connection, the HEA and the multiple glimpses into the future. I really can’t wait to read about our final bear brother, I really hope he finally finds his own HEA.
Woo that was steamy! Overall a really enjoyable quick little read. I love shifter books and all there possessives growlyness. Also really liked both characters and all the epilogues.

A mi.
No había vuelta atra's.
Mena
Mitad oso, mitad humano.
Ama a quien quieras.
2+ but not rounded up. After two stories that had some unique points, these last two are back to being pretty interchangeable and repetitive.
Here, our leads are yet-another-lonely bear Cason (brother 5 of 6), and his fated mate Mena, a half-shifter who's never turned into her bear. She enjoys solo camping in the mountains, her desire to be out in nature one of the few signs of her shifter heritage. On one such camping trip, she sets up on Cason's family land, and the curious bear comes to investigate the trespasser. Of course, he recognizes his fated mate, and lots of steam and HEA follow.
There's really not much plot here. Mena is a half shifter, but it really makes absolutely no difference to the plot and how their mating plays out. She does eventually shift, but that's after they bond, and that whole chapter is really like another epilogue. Her background is pretty much used to introduce her and then never factors into anything else at all. And Mason could be swapped out for either of the brothers in books 1, 2, or 6 - there's really nothing unique about him. Not that he's not likable - just not a memorable or particularly unique individual.
The obnoxious method to 'build tension' with nothing actually happening continues on. Seriously, you're looking at 15+ pages in a 100ish page book of basically nothing going on but them thinking to themselves how much they want each other, but nothing actually happening!
Alternating 1st person POV. No cheating, no love triangles, no OW/OM drama. Very little drama at all, just OTT instalove fated mates. Dual virgin leads (nice change!). While short OTT reads can be nice, light, mindless escapes, this series can tip into predictable, formulaic, and nothing much actually happening. I don't need high drama or high angst, but really, very, very little happened in the individual stories. Still, HEA and epilogues, and while not a cliffhanger, the next brother was introduced.
Would I read more? It's not badly written, but there are short SPN romances (even OTT instalove Fated Mates ones) that have a bit more meat to the plot and stick in the mind a bit more, seem less interchangeable. But hey - free Kindle find, so maybe if there are more Snow books free on Kindle, why not. Like I said, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't a great or unique series, and there are other authors I'd go to first.
This is an OK shifter romance, but it is just too short to have as much character development as I'd like. It is actually just a short story, as it is just 116 pages. It gets 2.5 stars from me, rounded up to 3 stars.
I mostly liked Mena, but I got annoyed with Cason and all his dirty talk. Almost everything he said had the word f*** in it, and I found it irritating.
I honestly didn't see why Mena was attracted to Cason -- especially if he looked like the guy on the book cover. Yes, he has nice muscles, but all those tattoos? Ugh. I know some people really like tattoos, but not me. But, really, Mena was only half shifter, and wouldn't have felt the mate connection that Cason did. So I didn't believe she would fall for him that quickly.
I also felt like they were more in lust than in love. I get that he was a shifter, and automatically loved his mate -- but it seemed like the only thing they really felt for each other was uncontrollable lust.
I did like that both the H/h were virgins -- it always bothers me when the h is a virgin, but the H is a total womanizer.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Cason and Mena are officially my favorite couple in the Bear Clan series! Cason doesn't begrudge his brothers and their happiness now that they found their mates. Its just that it makes it that much harder to soldier on, hoping it will happen but fearing it never will. Mena has never shifted, being half human and half bear but her human side is stronger. She still loves nature, being away from it all makes her happy. When Cason spots her camping on his land, he doesn't quite recognize what he is feeling. Can he be so lucky that she has finally come and that she will feel the mate bond too? Cason's loneliness was like a stone around his neck getting heavier every day. Mena's isolation and separation from her bear left her empty. When they discover each other, it was so magical. What I really love about Jenika Snow's shifter books, this one especially is that once they find each other, they discover things that illustrate how perfect they are together. I cannot wait to see what Ms Snow has in store for the last Grizzly brother!
The bearly possessive grizzly is book five in the bear clan series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. Cason is desperate to find his mate. After years of waiting and witnessing his brothers find their mate, he isn’t hopeful. Mena is a half bear shifter that loves nature and adventure. When she decides to go camping in bear country, she gets more than she bargained for. Cason gets a shock when he finds his mate camping on his family land. Now that he has found her, he isn’t ever letting her go! The chemistry between Cason and Mena is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I liked that Cason was the one that was able to help Mena unlock her bear. I really liked the ending and the epilogues for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
This was a great book, filled with heat, passion, and a possessive alpha bear shifter, shifter. It's hard for Carson to watch his brothers find their mates while he sits and waits for his, but he won't give up. Shifting more then he should to get away from the couple's he catches a scent of someone camping on his property. Going to investigate he realizes once he arrives he has finally found his mate. Mena has decided to go camping for a week.. needing to get away. She is part bear shifter but can not shift. Despite her human side being dominant, her bear did come out when she was surrounded by nature. Being in the woods made her animal side content and relaxed. Mena felt the connection to Carson right away and knew when he said they were mates she believed him. He is her other half, now with her mate claiming her she can be whole..finally feel complete.
