I liked this book for the most part. The chapter about the history of Halloween was good, even though there were things missing. It was adequate for the age level the book is intended for. My biggest issue is that the author kept downplaying the holiday as "just for fun" and ends by saying it doesn't have a serious side. Really? The fact that it evolved from Celtic and Roman traditions seems to me like it has a serious side. Anyway, I'm thinking it deserves 2.5 stars.
