Absolutely loved this. I laughed and cried. Fantastic storytelling from a different point (and place) of view. Highly recommend.

As we consider our treatment of indigenous people and our environment this books hits the mark. An Aleut woman faces changing times and through resilience learns to make her mark and influence the future for her people while remembering and recording the past.

Wonderful. What a hard life. And once again we see those damn soul-less white men and the horrors they inflicted upon the natives!!
Learned what a Promyshlenniki is!
