Maybe this rating is a little unfair because this did brighten my day -- mainly by making me crack up. Not exactly the most historical account ever. I dunno, I just found it really funny.

I could write a list of all the things I disagreed with (from a historical point of view). I won't. Because that would be boring to everyone except like, one or two Boudica nerds. But hey, I studied Roman Britain for A-Level Classics, and also the Celts / Britons are a special interest of mine, and I just... no. Nooooo.

Still laughing about the "Before They Were Famous" thing. I don't know anything about this series or whatever but all I can imagine is Boudica hipsters.

"I knew her before she was cool! You just jumped on the bandwagon when Londinium was burning, but DUDE, Camulodunum was a way better gig."

This book was awesome!!! I absolutely loved it--I learned about an incredible female that I had never learned about until now and I was shocked but impressed by her boldness, and bravery. I must admit that Boudica was sometimes TOO bold :). This is a great book and I recommend this to ALL girls, to lift up their self esteem (please don't go through the extremes Boudica did though!) and for BOYS, so that they can realize that even girls can be just as brave, and even more honorable!

In a time when women were considered to be wives and mothers. One young girl has the courage to start a journey which will lead her to be a warrior who faces down the most powerful empire in history, the Romans. I loved this book, it made this historical character relatable and enjoyable.

Picked the book up sort of by mistake at a charity shop not realising it was supposed to be for younger readers. A good introduction to periods of history in fictional settings.
