About the book
Father died when he was a year old.
Mother deserted.
Family broken up.
Failed fostering experiment.
Street gang violence.
Burglary.
Prison.
A new road.

Vic had learned to take care of himself even in his earliest years in the orphanage where he spent most of his childhood. Years of fighting, stealing and burgling had finally brought him to the end of the line as he sat in his cell in Winchester Prison.
“God if you’re there, you’ve got ten days to change my life and if you haven’t done it by then you’ve copped it.”
Vic prayed. God acted. It wasn’t always easy, but living by the grace of God rather than his own fists, Vic found a new inner strength and security. Instead of taking from others he now shares the new life Christ brings into the hearts of men and women.

My thoughts
This book was a reminder that God can change anything, any situation and He’s there to do just that for anyone. Vic was in his lowest and once he asked for God’s intervention, God did intervene. It’s a story about challenges, hope and perseverance. Nice book to read ending the year. It was a good reflection.
