Lori is the story of the conversion of a deaf-mute girl. Weak in the body and mentally impaired, she came to the awareness of her salvation late in her short life. Her teacher, the author of Lori, taught her studies in Bible and doctrine, and God used this means to bring Lori to confess her faith in Him. In this short account Mrs. Hoeksema shows the love that surrounded Lori-the love of her family and the love of countless friends-for Lori drew friends to herself like a magnet. The author skillfully shows how Lori's love of her Lord and Savior developed and grew. The reader will find two things in reading this his own faith will be strengthened as he reads Lori's simple, sincere expression of her faith, and he will come to love Lori as one of God's special children.
