Not a fan of the book or the movie, but someone gifted this to me years ago when I was a dragon-obsessed ten-year-old. I always loved reading it and learning about the process of creating an entirely different world on screen. It’s chock-full of concept art and costume design that always gives me a creative boost.

They killed the book with this movie...it actually discouraged the people I knew from reading it -_____-

There's nothing magical about this book. The images are decent, though quite often disappointing because you keep expecting a certain level of artistry from this type of book. This is especially highlighted since there isn't a lot of insightful information in the text either: while the text occasionally pierces a tad deeper into the magic of filmmaking, it mostly just skims the surface as a rather generic tale of how the movie came together, stabbing here and there for facts and then moving on. There are no in-depth interviews with the cast and crew for a more personal touch, and for the most part, the information provided seems generic and rather bland.

All in all, this book makes the creation of the movie 'Eragon' seem quite rushed.

I got this book for Christmas and although the movie was a fail, I really liked the book! It was smaller then I was expecting but still, a very nice book for anyone who is in love with Murtagh!
