What child hasn't complained about some destination that his/her parent has selected? Here Hubie does not want to go on a large cruise ship to France, but by the end of the voyage, he is enjoying himself. That's a powerful message. Every destination has potential, as does every journey.
This story is likely to be a child's introduction to the idea of a cruise ship.
