Matrix algebra is one of the most important areas of mathematics for data analysis and for statistical theory. If you are interested in practical use of Matrix Algebra, this a good buy. The author, Stanford University Professor Emeritus James M. Gere taught engineering for 34 years and co-founded the John A. Blume Earthquake Engineering Center. He was the author or co-author of numerous textbooks on engineering.
