Hooking up with a vampire has its risks-but getting pregnant usually isn't one of them. Tell that to Brittany Baldizzi, who finds herself in the family way with no father in sight. After their one night of passion, vampire Corbin Jean Michel disappeared off the face of the earth-or at least off the Vegas strip.

Corbin is a vampire with a cause, secretly trying to find a cure for his condition. But when he finds out Brittany is pregnant with his child, Corbin can't keep his paternal instincts from trumping his bloodsucking ones. Even when showing his hand could cost him the woman he can't help but love.

Cuter and more humorous than the previous books, this one is about a girl who is half-vampire that gets pregnant by a French full-vampire. She's a little worried, to say the least. What the hell is she going to give birth to? Will it be French?

Frenchy tries to reassure her:

"Our baby will be fine, I am convinced of it. This child is not a mutant, or an aberration, or an accident, but a child born of passion, and I am honored that you will be his mother."

Brittany felt some of the tension in her ease. "Thank you. And you really think everything is okay?"

"Absolutely."

"I'll see you later then." Brittany left, feeling much better.

Corbin watched Brittany leave and stuck his hand in his hair.

Mon Dieu, his child was going to be born a mutant.

A freak of nature, a bloodsucking baby. This was not good.

Well , Corbin has lesson number one when dealing with a pregnant woman down: tell her what she needs to hear. No, you are not fat! Of course your butt hasn't gotten bigger! You are glowing! That haircut looks great (on your huge body)! This is going to be great! We are totally ready for this!

Good luck, Corbin! You are going to need it..

What I liked about this book was how the story didn't go the usual way: they fall in love, he turns her into a vampire. That wouldn't have worked out too well with a baby on the way. Babies never sleep when you want them to. It's like they have some sort of sensor that tells them when you are resting and they just can't have that. They are selfish little jerks.

Also, a two hundred year old vampire going to a "daddy boot camp" was pretty amusing.

This book is pretty good vampire chick-lit. Totally worth reading for a light chuckle.

Oh I loved this book. Brit and Corbin were one terrific couple, they sure had their obstacles but love got them through them. All the characters from the other books are back again and thank goodness. I love Ethan and Alexis so it was great to have them around.
This series is fun, hot and full of banter. Go ahead and give this series a try, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I have.
Highly recommend!!

This is one of those that you just have to read if you're following this series. Humorous novels about vampires in Vegas (well, where else would the bloodsuckers be?) and their political structure...
I'm enjoying the series, but this one would be between 3.5 and 4 stars...

I did not actually think that Brittany and Corbin would end up with their own book, but they did.

Nice quick, enjoyable read; interspersed with other characters stories.

Corbin dealing with impending fatherhood is awesome and when he goes to the ‘Boot Camp’ for new dads….so many funny bits. This is the bit that really stood out for me.

“He had wished for death many times over his long lifespan, but never as fervently as he did while Beth Adams rattled off breastfeeding statistics, her baby sucking industriously, mouth full around the entire areola…”

Totally priceless!

I still hate how Ringo treats Kesley.

After two books, situation for vampires in Vegas is still very complicated. Vampire elections are still not over so Alexis & Ethan are still busy with them. But then additional complication occurs - Brittany, Alexis sister and human, is pregnant with a vampire scientist Corbin. It seems that two hundred year old vampire sperm is still not past its expiration date. ;)

As usual there is a lot going on in this book. Although focus is on the development of love story between Brittany & Corbin, there are also two romances on sidelines that I found both intriguing: Ringo & Kelsey and Donatelli & Gemma. I hope they continue in the next book, because I cheering for them to reach HEA too.
As for Brittany & Corbin their relationship added a much needed humor to the story. It's funny to see 200-year-old standards of child-raising conflict with new and modern practices. Corbin even goes to Baby Boot Camp. LOL

Bled Dry is not too hot/sexy or humorous book but writing is not bad and if you are looking for a paranormal romance with vampires, you could do much better than picking this one. I don't think that 'Vegas Vampires' is any worse that 'Love at Stake' or 'Argeneau' and it deffinitely has less books. Those monstrously big, never-ending series intimidate me.

I recommend this book to fans of: paranormal romance with vampires

I love this series! It had been a while since I dived into a Vampire read and I am glad I picked up this one. Corbin was even kinda sexy to me at times. Ma' Cherie! Oh My! :) The ending was heart warming too! He truly showed his love for her.

When Brittany finds out she's pregnant by vampire Corbin, she quickly finds herself drawn into danger, as her child would be 3/4 vampire and a desirable pawn in ancient vampire struggles.

Highly enjoyable. The addition of the baby storyline was great to read. Brittany is a great heroine, not too abrasive like her sister, but still secure in herself. She gets a little stubborn, but not overly so.

Not nearly as good as the one before it, and very predictable. It was missing the wit, humor and laugh out loud moments. If I wanted to read a book about breastfeeding I would have read what to expect when you're expecting.

And the Ringo/Kelsey storyline? Boring..... Snooze. And it goes nowhere.

It needs more Ethan/Alexis and Cara/Seamus.

And does every book end in someone getting married?

It took me a lot longer to read Bled Dry than any of the other novels in this series so far. Mostly because Corbin kind of pissed me off. He might have been attempting to do right by Brittany throughout… but mostly he was just being a bit of a ham-fisted moron. And Brittany should have smacked him around the head far more times than she did… but, once I got over my smack-Corbin feeling, I actually thoroughly enjoyed this tale.

There are almost no romance stories in my shelves that feature a pregnant woman. There are many that mention a previous couple becoming pregnant, but none that actually have this as a central plot point. It was a nice change. Babies might not be my thing, and I’m unsure about motherhood, but I think it’s an integral aspect of our lives (for so many obvious reasons). The fact that it was the central point of the storyline and the reason for all of the complications (both positive and negative) was incredibly fun. It didn’t take away from the romance or the passion, but it did provide an entirely new standpoint that I just lapped up.

I’ve never read a story in which the vampire wanted to reverse the act of vampirism. Most of the tales end like High Stakes and Sucker Bet where the mortal significant other is turned to run off into the sunset living happily ever after. This didn’t quite end like that… and the fact that Corbin wanted to grow old with Brittany instead of living forever, well, I kind of liked that ending far more. It was about those finite, happy moments you have together and raising a family in a lifetime, not staying together for ever and having no reason to live every day like it’s your last…

Although the first two thirds of this story involved me mostly being pissed off because Corbin was being an idiot, once I got past that. And he got past his own stupidity, I actually really loved this story. It had that same cutesy, sweet feeling that I’m getting used to in McCarthy’s stories. And left me with the typical, nostalgic, happy smile that her works always leave me with.

After a one-night stand with a vampire, Brittany Baldizzi finds herself pregnant. The father is Corbin Atelier, an old vampire who is doing research in an effort to reverse vampirism for those of his kind, like himself, that wish to have their mortality restored. Because Brittany's father was also a vampire, their child will be unique--an immortal with no need to drink blood to survive. Corbin fears for the baby's safety, and he tries to stay away from Brittany so as not to give away the child's parentage. Brittany, however, isn't having it. Unfortunately, Corbin's fears are proved to be well-founded when Brittany is abducted by an unscrupulous vampire who wishes to do some genetic work of his own with her baby.

I don't read paranormal romance like I used to. The story was okay--sort of paranormal lite, if you will. It was rather predictable. I didn't like how the author bounced from one character's pov to another. It was all in third person pov, which is fine, but stick to one character, please. She even doodled off to follow a subplot involving a different vampire and his main squeeze. Just, no.

Favorite line: She figured an easy seventy-five percent of what a man said needed to be dismissed if his penis was erect at the time of speaking.

Premise was trite, characterizations were flat, the mortal peril was dealt with so easily it was yawn-worthy, and the narrative bounced around too much. Blah. Two stars.

i kind of dont have shit to say about this one. i liked these two characters the best ... they were even cute ... BUT OTHER CHARACTERIZATIONS (LIKE THE VILLAIN OF THE LAST TWO BOOKS) HAVE LIKE 180'd and i kept getting impressed by these things' continuity so whats up w that ... and i ALSO liked before that it had weird little rules n history that it stuck to regarding how vampirism works and all that kind of fell by the wayside here too. like it would be one paragraph worth of resident evil lore level clown music mixing n matching w mutant vampire genetics n then the chapter would just go on expecting you to take it seriously. especially bc all the stakes were just like random hypotheses corbin would have n then act on but also like not actually really act on or do anything NOT A LOT HAPPENED HERE OTHER THAN TALKING

it makes me sick that the couple from book 1 is clearly the authors' favorite like why are they omnipresent. it makes MORE sense in this one bc shes her sister but it just makes me angry how spotlighted they were in book 2 as well. like man shut up.

also again i like corbin n brittany the most so it sucks that i felt like their development was about becoming normal n boring n settled. this esp sucked w brittany bc she was like the funniest part of book 1. AND ITS NOT EVEN BC OF THE BABY. THE BABY STUFF WAS FINE. I EVEN LAUGHED AT BABIES R US REGISTRY COMEDY

i liked what he ended up doing w the vampirism cure bc that happened on the vampire diaries.

This one was really cute! I loved the ending with the happy little family.
I think the character development for Corbin was really strong. He learned to share his burdens. Alexis still is just a mean little grouch and I’m over it, she ruined the book really. Like take her out, just forget she exists in the series anymore. Donatelli and Ethan joining forces? Can’t wait to see how that goes in the next book with Gwenna!
The russian got what he deserved.
And I’m really glad that Erin McCarthy had the character destroy the vaccination because I think it wasn’t a storyline that was strong enough to make a series about. The most I could see is if the presidency made it a punishment to turn moral again. But giving the option would/could cause more of an issue.

How is this series so underrated?

How is this series so underrated when it's this well written and a thousand times more entertaining than any paranormal romance I've ever read? I love the characters, the plot, the stories in this series, the idea of vampires living in Las Vegas--I love it all! I have nothing bad to say about this book! It's the best book I've read this year (and it's only February 2021 right now)!!

A very fun lighthearted book This is a third book in the series of the Vegas vampires. I really love Brittney Alexis's sister and her relationship with Corbin the French vampire. Kelsey really got on my nerves for this particular book and I was not a fan of Ringo either. The fourth book is going to center around Ethan's sister gwenna so I'm kind of looking forward to finding out more about her.

Ok..how does this book start? Brittany finds out from her doctor that shes prego- that the whole feeling sick in the last book wasnt the flu. And whos the father? Corbin. If you've been reading this series you would remember the first book. Remember the UNPROTECTED love-scene between Corbin n Brittany? Yup.. thats it.

Interesting news? Donatelli is a bad man if you've read the last two books. But in this book we find out there are some lines he wouldnt cross. And that he can care. Weird right? I mean, you should see how Erin described him in the last two books.

Ava Coco Renee Atelier: Corbin n Brittany's daughter,three-quarter vampire, astonishingly perfect- from the tipof her soft distended head to her wrinkled red and peeling toes, beautiful big brown eyes, eight pounds six ounces at birth.

Ethan Carrick: vampire president of the Vampire Nation(won the election),won the election.

Gwenna: vampire(was turned by Ethan when she bled to death after giving birth to her daughter),was the mother of a three-quarter vampire child baby(when Gwen was an Impure -since her father was vamp n her mom was human- she was seduced by Donatelli),wavy blond hair, pale and fragile, came to visit Ethan n Alexis to inform them the bad news about Donatelli knowing about the baby.

Donatelli: vampire, the father of Gwenna's three-quaters vampire baby child(who went insane in her twenties and killed herself),is also the father of Brittany, use to be one of Ethan's trusted friends back then until he seduced Gwenna, now in New York awaiting his trial for treason, bought info out of Ringo about Britt n Corbin's baby for about twenty-five grand,is still in love with Gwenna, was told by Brittany that she is his daugther(she told him that so he can protect her), joined Ethan's political campaign.

Brittany Baldizzi is pregnant by a vampire who she barely knows. He promised to be a part of the pregnancy and baby’s life but it’s been eight weeks since she has seen him last. He’s sent flowers every week with a computer generated card reading, “Thinking of you, Corbin.” He said he was going to court her but in her opinion, he is failing big time to woo her. He did tell her that they had to be discreet because she is half vampire herself and a baby between a vampire and impure (half vampire) has never been heard of before. The ramifications of that could be dangerous. Someone might want to take the baby and study it or worse.

Brittany has no idea what all this means because she has just recently discovered vampires even existed and had no clue that her unknown father was a vampire. Her mother was a stripper who cheated on her then husband, the father of her older sister, but she never knew who the father was and she still does not know.

Corbin Jean Michel Atelier is vampire and scientist. He has been trying to find a cure for vampirism since the 1800s and he is very close. He accidentally let a woman die 40 years ago so the vampire nation punished him by a sort of house arrest. He has to wear a watch which is the equivalent to an ankle bracelet. He has to stay in the Las Vegas area and cannot leave. He is also shunned by most vampires and cannot attend vampire events. He met Brittany and when he learned she was an impure he knew she might be the missing link in his experiments. She agrees to give him a blood sample and they ended up having sex which ended in pregnancy.

He can’t help falling for Brittany because she is so beautiful, sweet and understanding but he is afraid someone will discover that he is the father of the baby. He wants people to believe that a mortal fathered the baby so Brittany and the baby will be safe but at the same time, he wants to be with her and be involved with the pregnancy so he signs up for a class called Daddy Boot Camp. It’s hilarious to watch him go through the class.

Meanwhile, Ringo has gone to New York to tell Donatelli about the baby. He overheard the conversation between Brittany and Corbin while Corbin was helping him detox from heroine laced blood. Ringo became addicted to it after Donatelli turned him into a vampire. He was hired by Donatelli while he was human to assassinate the president of the vampire nation, Ethan Carrick, who was up for re-election. Donatelli was his opponent. Ringo, of course, didn’t realize he was up against vampires and that a bullet wouldn’t kill Ethan. While casing the casino, he met Kelsey who made him want to change his ways but the opportunity to make money with this information proves to be too much for him so he takes off to find Donatelli.

A new candidate for president has been announced, Gregor Chechikov. He was known for working with Vladimir Kiev in the tenth century as a warlord who would crush rebellions by killing entire villages. He isn’t a nice man. He is downright evil. He is the one funding Corbin’s research and if he finds out about the baby, it would be disastrous.

I am really into this series but there are some things that drive me nuts like how the bad guys are not punished when they are discovered. Ringo was basically given a slap on the hand for trying to assassinate Ethan. Donatelli was given an electronic monitor and sent to New York to live free. After all the trouble he caused. He hired an assassin. He terrorized Kelsey, Cara and Alexis in his hotel room but making Cara strip and dance for him and breaking Alex’s wrist. He also addicted his employees to drugs by putting heroin in their blood. I think he got a rather light sentence for all of that.

I was caught up in the romance of Brittany and Corbin. My heart went out to them and their situation. I wanted to shake Corbin a few times too.
I’m off to read the next book. I think it is the finale but I’m not real sure. I’ll find out when I read it.

I have recently completed the book Bled Dry by Erin McCarthy. It is about a human who gets pregnant from a French vampire. It may have vampires in it, but I still like it because it is completely different from typical Twilight knock-off books. Before I read it, I didn't know it was the third book in the series. I wish I would have read the other ones. The good thing is the story still makes complete sense, so it is okay if you do not read the rest of the books in the series.

The main character’s name is Brittany Baldizzi. She is a young, “suburban dentist who happened to be knocked up by a French vampire.” (3)-this is Brittany’s description of herself in the story to give you an idea of what she is like. I think this line alone clearly states the theme; being young and naïve. The ironic thing is Brittany’s mother had been impregnated by a vampire as well, but they do not know who her father is. Brittany’s mother died when she was younger. Her whole life she has grown up with her older sister, Alexis. Alexis is not happy about the pregnant news, especially when she finds out who the father is; Corbin Atelier. He is a French vampire who neither Alexis nor her husband Ethan really trust. Corbin takes the news quite well, but along the way there are some other characters who really stir things up…you will have to read to find out what happens. The book is a journey through their adventures of the pregnancy together, and a few other issues on the way.

I rated this book a four out of five. I thought it was very interesting, and the Vegas setting made it rather entertaining. The fact that by some Corbin is considered a fugitive made the plot more intriguing. The writing can be very detailed and inappropriate at times, but it is a young adult book for a reason. I thought the author did an excellent job with placing it in Vegas, having Brittany be young and naïve, and having Corbin be a French vampire. I think the author portrayed the characters very well in doing this. Obviously not on the subject of pregnancy, but the fact that Brittany is so young and naïve makes her relatable because in most ways she does act like a teenager. She shows this mostly throughout her inner thought. Her sister was asking why should would get with someone who is so arrogant and charming, and Brittany’s inner thought response was, “Because he was charming, good looking, and arrogant. This response reminded me of something you would hear a teenage girl say in a movie. She believes almost everything she hears and is so immature at times. It also shows during the very beginning of the book when she is at the doctors to figure out what’s “wrong” with her. Brittany thinks she has the flu or an ulcer, but the doctor tells her she is pregnant. She tries to deny it saying it’s impossible and things like that. Later, you find out she was ignorant enough to think a vampire couldn’t get her pregnant. To me, this screams young and naïve.

I think the author was trying to write an interesting, “out there” story. As you go on in the book and get to more of the details, it will make a little more sense. The book isn’t for information or anything like that; I almost think she wrote it so we could laugh at Brittany’s ignorance. At times, I found myself laughing at some of her stupidity.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It isn’t too overly complicated to read, you just have to be good at switching between two different scenes with different characters. In the beginning it will make no sense why there is a story about Ringo and Kelsey, but by the end it will make perfect sense. I like the way how the author did that, it just helps everything fit into place, and in a unique way. It really helps to engage the reader. Overall I loved this book of youth and being naïve. It gives you a new perspective on things.

In the very first book of this series, Brittany, Alexis’ little sister, was attracted to a lonely French vampire, and they spend a few minutes in her bed together. What Brittany did not count on, was getting pregnant from that one time of making love. Even though it was the best time in her life, she loved it when he bit her all over. But she hated it that she never saw him again after that night. She wants Corbin to be a part of their child’s live, so when her sister tells him that Corbin never left Las Vegas, and is staying right here in the Ava hotel and casino, she is determined to tell him.
Corbin is playing physician and jailer to Ringo, the assassin that Donatelli got hooked on drugged blood. Trying to teach him the rules of the vampire world, and get him clean. But when Ringo hears them talk, he knows this information is worth some serious money to Donatelli. Corbin doesn’t really like this job, he is working on a vaccine to cure vampirism, and he is very close to the solution. He was turned against his will, and he knows more vampires want to be mortal again.
As Brittany is half vampire, called an Impure, their child will be three quarters vampire, something that has not happened before in vampire history. Corbin does his best to reassure Brittany about their child, not telling her what he suspects: their child will be immortal, but not need to feed on blood, or have any of the other weaknesses of a vampire. People will want to experiment on him/her, reproduce it if possible. They have to keep this a secret, and keep them safe. And even though Corbin wants to do the honourable thing, and marry Brittany, he will have to keep his distance so no one will figure out that he is the father instead of some mortal. Which hurts Brittany, as she needs him in her life and wants to share it with him. But she won’t marry him for those reasons! And that is very hard to understand for an 18th century French aristocratic vampire. As is going to Daddy school, to learn how to be a father …
Of course, evil doesn’t rest, and in the end there is lot of action, and some revelations I predicted to myself early on in the series. Which did not spoil my enjoyment though.

I enjoyed this third book in the series, and am looking forward to reading the fourth soon. I am not a big fan of Brittany, and if this was any other genre, she would be too stupid to live. Which is something I loathe in my heroines. She is just too naïve and trusting, even though she is really smart as well at some times. After her difficult childhood, it is hard for her to believe in marriage, and she just refuses that to Corbin. I did like her for that. Don’t get married for the wrong reasons. I also liked the parts where Brittany and Corbin were together, trying to get used to being parents, going to baby stores and such. As I usually really don’t like reading about pregnant heroines, and everything do to with babies, I have to stay that Erin McCarthy really did do a great job, of keeping me reading this story, instead of skipping it for the next one.

Again, a well written, fast paced and fun book to read. I like my vampires to be rich and handsome and not evil, and that is what I get in this series. The great setting of Las Vegas ads glitter and glamour, and is of course a great cover for them. One day I will visit this city.

8,5 stars

Third in the Vegas Vampires funny paranormal-romance series based in Las Vegas.

The Story
Alex's baby sister, Brittany Baldizzi, discovers she's pregnant after a one-night stand with Corbin. Hey, you wouldn't think that would be such a big deal except. Brittany is an Impure, a half-vampire and half-human. Corbin is all vampire. A three-quarter vampire baby...well, that has all sorts of possibilities. Immortal. Without a need for blood. Able to walk in sunlight. An evolved vampire. A stronger vampire. What self-respecting, bad-guy vampire wouldn't like to get his hands on the DNA from this little superrace baby...

The Characters
Alexis and Ethan Carrick play a supporting role in this run-up to the Vampire Nation elections. Gwenna, the ex- Mrs. Donatelli, reads her way into protecting Brittany while Seamus and Cara receive a brief mention.

Brittany Baldizzi, a suburban dentist, wants the family, the white picket fence, and just pants to be a soccer mom so discovering that she's pregnant by a vampire, Corbin Jean Michel Atelier, is just so not what she had planned.

Roberto Donatelli reveals some interesting softness while Ringo Columbia and Kelsey run off to get married primarily so Ringo can escape and betray. Gregor Chechikov thinks he's gonna put the hurt on and instead the tables get turned...couldn't happen to a nicer guy! And a lovely reason to dive into Sucker Bet next!

My Take
An enjoyable beach read although the inconsistency in Corbin's French accent was irritating. If he can't say his "th"s without them being "z"s, at least do 'em all! The best part was when Corbin, an early 19th century vampire, took part in baby classes! Between having to learn about burping and diapering, Corbin discovers just how much he is not a 21st century, emancipated guy. Then there's registering for the baby gifts as Corbin goes crazy with a new weapon...the bar code scanner.

The Cover
The cover is cartoonish which is fits in with the tone of the book. A sexily-clad lady in white is perched on the edge of a roulette table tossing a pair of dice with a few piles of chips on the table next to her as tiny bats fly up from the wheel.

The title doesn't make sense. Oh, yeah, it's vampires and they could indeed bleed you dry, but no one gets bled out in this story...not even at the gaming tables. Unless you want to include trying to get Ringo through detox...

Review originally published at BookThing! (Reviewed by Tracey Risebrow)

After one night (well, less than an hour!) of passion with Corbin Atelier, he disappears into thin air and Brittany finds herself pregnant. Not realising vampires could get mortals pregnant, to say she was shocked is an understatement. Worse, she has no way of knowing where Corbin is. When he resurfaces she has to tell him he is going to be a father but with no clue how he will react.

Corbin is a vampire embroiled in research to find a cure for vampirism. After his passionate night with Brittany, he was unable to get her out of his mind but resigned himself to never seeing her again. Finding out he was going to be a father was a total shock but he throws himself into trying to support Brittany through her pregnancy. When facts emerge about Brittany’s genetics, their unborn child suddenly becomes a rare commodity and they both have sacrifices to make – but will it be enough?

I absolutely loved this book, from page one I was drawn into the story. There were some laugh out loud moments and I particularly enjoyed the father-to-be boot camp and the baby superstore! The plot was good, fast paced and the ending had an unexpected, but satisfying twist.

This is part of a series called ‘Vegas vampires’ and ideally I would have read the first two in the series first, as some of what was referred to (including the one night stand!) happened in the previous book. Having said that, it did not spoil the story for me and there was enough explanation that I do not feel I missed out on any major plot line. Ultimately this book was the story of Brittany and Corbin, with undercurrents that clearly ran through previous and will continue in following books. The glimpses I had of other couples who I assume were the subjects of books one and two were enough to make me want to go back and read their stories.

If you like your vampires mixed with a touch of humour and romance this is for you.

I'm not usually one for stories of pregnancy, but when the mother is half-vampire and the father is a vampire, the results can be very interesting. Brittany is known as an Impure for her hybrid blood, but what will her baby be? Things get really scientific in Bled Dry and I loved it! This one is definitely the best so far.

I adore Corbin. He was such a broody loner in the previous books, but he really comes alive (figuratively) in this book. Brittany's bubbly personality definitely rubs off on him. He still has his moments where he doesn't consider her feelings, which is frustrating to me and to her, but he's been alone for 200 years; he needs time to adjust. There's also the matter of his research to find a cure for vampirism, which also gets tangled up with his interested in his baby's genetics. We finally find out who Brittany's father is! I figured it out early on in this book, but I definitely hadn't been expecting.

Unfortunately, I didn't care for the Kelsey/Ringo/Donatelli plot this time around. I was really growing to like Kelsey, but I just didn't get her decisions in this book. Ringo is a complete jerk to her and yet she still claims to love him and follows him around like a sick puppy. Ringo's scheme to weasel some money out of Donatelli also just seemed to add pages, not really anything to the story as whole, since Donatelli essentially found everything out on his own anyway. Luckily these things were only a small part of the book.

This one was much more fun than the others. Watching Brittany and Corbin try to figure out parenthood was sweet and funny. They're chemistry is through the roof, so they're sex scenes were pretty darn good, too! I loved the little twist at the end, and I can't wait to see how this series ends!

When Brittany spent one night of passion with the odd and reclusive Vampire scientist called Corbin, she wasn't expecting a call back let alone a freakin baby! Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think it was possible for a vampire to even have viable sperm. But here she is, pregnant alone and more then a little afraid of what's going to happen.

Corbin is more than shocked to learn his one night stand has resulted in a baby, first of all there's
only been one recorded case of a vampire and a half vampire producing a child and second of all, it
ended badly. But while his research is dangerous, boarding unethical and attracting a lot of bad
attention, he knows he can't let the woman he loves go through this alone.

Together they must find a way to come to grips with their destiny and the threats arising that aim
to stop that destiny.

From the first sentence, I knew I was not going to be a fan of this book. And by the end- after a few
paragraphs skipped- i knew my prediction was correct. Never for one moment, was I enthralled by
either these characters in this book (any of them) or the plotline. All parties were boring, dull
and completely lifeless.

First of all, the characters shouldn't be in love. Just because they have a child towards does
not mean they need to fall instantly in love with each other. They had a one night stand and neither
of them made any attempt to get in touch with the other after the fact. Then, when Corbin just
happens to be in the same hotel room and he finds out about the baby, they waste zero time fucking. Then Corbin proceeds to disappear for 2 more months. It could have been comical if I wasn't so irritated over spending my time reading such nonsense.

I will say this author has by far better novels for readers to indulge in and I would strongly
recommend skipping this one and checking them out.

this was a cute little fluff read but had alot of the same issues as the first two in the series. britanny went from a ditz to mama bear and really smart pretty fast which didnt feel very realistic. the hero wasn't bad but he was kinda wimpy feeling but that chould just be poor writing. he has something in his past that has the potential to create the tension I've been looking for but its only mentioned briefly and never in detail. the characters were cute together but there was no rel romantoc devleopment. it was be together, have sex, don't speak for several weeks, repeat...all the while he's saying they need to be the next stepford family. the sex scenes were good except they kept inexplicably wiping their mouths after...even though there was no oral or no other reason to do that it was just random. also obnoxious was the heros over the top fake french accent and the fact that sometimes he talked in normal english and others its "zis and zat". it also drove me nuts that until the last like 30 pages we dont even know how far along she is. she tells her dr she's only had sex once in the past six months which made me think she was about six months along. then we hit a part where its two.months later and she still hasn't bought maternity clothes which wouldn't make sense. if she had sex with him three months ago why not say within three months and make it less confusing? oh well I've finished what I wanted to and can quit this series. I wouldn't recommend itto anyone the characters and plot are ok but the romances are all underdeveloped and there's no driving tension to make the stories interesting or create any drama between the couples.
