Just for the Record

Rate this book
Telling the story of two young boys who dreamt of playing rock 'n' roll, and made those dreams come true, this is the autobiography of Status Quo. From their first hit, "Matchstick Men", to the performance of "Rocking All Over the World" which opened the "Live Aid" concert, and their record-breaking "Rock Till You Drop" (four concerts in one day), Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt have remained true to their music and their roots, playing heads-down, blues-based rock. Through the years, Rossi and Parfitt lived the quintessential rock-star life. Both had failed marriages, were strung out on cocaine and alcohol, and hit serious financial problems. Yet they managed to pick themselves up, kept their friendship going, and retained their sense of humour and their commitment to their musical style.
