My son enjoys this book about diggers and cranes. Each two page spread has a large drawing of a vehicle/machine, and there are lines with text explaining about different parts of the image, as well as text bytes and boxes around the page. All drawings, no photographs. The details are probably a bit too complicated for his age group (under 5) but he enjoys looking at the pictures and learning about the vehicles.
