This book is really beautifully written

This is a very well written collection of short stories. My only regret was that they were all so disturbingly sad. Descriptions were a bit macabre (but I like that) much in the fashion of Joyce Carol Oates. I would have rated it 4 if I had been a little less bummed when I closed the book.
