This book is great coupled with Think and Grow Rich. So far this book does a great job with emphasising the power of the subconscious mind but also the importance of what we put into it. What is your mental diet? What do you consume daily? What is your relationship with the idea of wealth/riches?
Something else that stands out to me is the fact that a guilt conscious is a personal experience. You can feel guilt based on the promises you know you haven’t kept and what is keeping you from doing so?
All laziness is mental, it’s a response to being assigned work you are not interested in. I like the emphasis on using yor imagination and creative mind, it’s something that we all have the power to do but easily forget. The book also mentions the importance of mental work.
Some additional points that stood out to me are the following:
—You are what you think, you are literally made up of everything you ingest into your mind and it comes out in the way you present yourself and communicate.
—Man is a mind with a body, not a body with a mind… your mind is in control of your body, your mind controls how you use you're body,
—Most are operating from habit vs intelligence, it’s more about what you decide to do vs what you know about “what to do”
—-FEELINGS OF INSECURE ARE DEVELOPED IN CHILDHOOD, IT COMES FROM COMPOUNDED COMMENTS ON CERTAIN ASPECTS OF YOUR BEHAVIOR AND HOW YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF
—-THE FAILURE INSTICT IS INSTILLED IN CHILDHOOD, IF YOU LIVED IN A RESTRICT CHILDHOOD, ALWAYS TOLD WHAT YOU CAN’T DO, YOU’LL GROW UP TO NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY CAN DO.
—-CHANGE YOUR PERSONAL PRICE TAG, HOW MUCH IS YOUR TIME/TALENT WORTH.
