My mom handed me this book a few weeks before I left to go to France for the summer. “I know you have a long list of books, but please just read this one chapter!” She told me to read the chapter about Madame Guyon, a 17th century missionary (? Bold Christian ?) in France. After reading about her, I couldn’t put it down.

I don’t know if this book will impact you like it did me, but it struck a chord in my in ways I can’t explain for prayer, fasting, and missions. It was heavenly to me! God really speaks to me in books …
