It is said that if you let something go and it returns, it was always yours to begin with. Does true love really exist? For Koran, it did more than eight years ago when the love of his life left without an explanation. Once brokenhearted, time heals all things and being the big baller that he is, love for him now is riding around in his expensive cars, wearing the best jewelry money can buy and staying dipped in the latest fashions, while lying back in his beautiful crib. Whitney left Koran, the love of her life, so long ago. The pain she felt, knowing she would never see him again was so great that she was unable to express why she had to go. Leaving Koran was hard, but facing her problems was worse. Returning with a Bachelor's degree, a new lease on life and working on her Master's she suddenly comes face-to-face with the man of her past. Unfortunately, Koran is living a different life with his crew, than the one they talked about as teenagers. Will love return, and if it does will Koran give up his lifestyle of selling dope and chasing after more and more money or will he follow his heart back into the arms of his first love?

FINDING FOREVER unfolds against the backdrop of St. Louis with a young hustler by the name of Koran. Despite having watched his mother fall prey to addiction, the streets called, and he answered. Established and comfortable in his lifestyle, things couldn't be better for Koran. But they weren't always that way.

For Koran Whitney was the one. The Juliet to his Romeo. Cleopatra to his Mark Antony. Koran thought she'd always be in his life, until one day, she walked away and never looked back, not giving him so much as a goodbye or an explanation for her departure. He picked up the shattered pieces of his heart and eventually moved on until...Whitney resurfaces. Eight years later. Will Koran finally get the answers that have been plaguing him for eight long years? Is there still a future for Koran and Whitney?

FINDING FOREVER is a love story thin on love, but bold in its direction. A key to a great love story is chemistry. Not just chemistry between the two characters in love, but chemistry with the reader. I could never get a grasp of the character Whitney. She was so hot and cold I never got a feel for her. It was obvious Koran's feelings for her, but the reverse was not so evident. I understood that Whitney was shrouded in mystery, but even so, it did not account for lack of depth. Even as a novella, I felt that she could have been fleshed out better as the characters Koran and Trina were.

Despite its flaws, FINDING FOREVER is full enough to hold readers. I look forward to what Keisha Ervin has next in store for her readers.

OMG...this book is soooo good. I really LOVED this book it caught my attention immediately by the quote on the front. Before this review i already got 3 students to read it. It does have couple of curses and nasty things but other then that if you read between the lines you will understand the lesson it teaches. One of the characters name is Whitney and she had left for 8 years without telling anyone why and before she had left she had met this man named Koran who was her love. She had left this man with curiosity and hurt. Koran's best friend Sheek and him have been in the game since young and lots of people respect him. Whitney decided to come back and make the best of her life with Koran and thats exactly what they do but One day they go to the club and one of Korans friends O who has just came out of jail decided to go dance with Whitney and once Koran has come across that he is not laughing he is pissed and decides he wants to fight about it after o gets beat up. Koran has a baby mama and a son name Malik and for o's revenged one day he sees her in the hospital he lets her know about Whitney before Koran can tell her himself. To get to the good part Koran finally finds out why Whitney had left and its not a good reason. Find out why she left and all the other good parts to the book.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Karon grew up with Whitney, until she disappeared eight years ago without a good bye. Now that she is back in town, he’s looking for answers and to pick up where they left off.

THOUGHTS

I was split with my thoughts for this book by Keisha Ervin. I don’t think this is her best work but it was still good, although Torn is still at the top of my list. The beginning of the storyline was weak and it felt almost repetitive. The characters were great but the storyline leading up to the ending is where my problem was. The ending actually had me in tears; it was sad and a bit bitter sweet. Karon was a good guy and I commend him in some ways. He was twenty five but some times his actions remind me of a teenager. Whitney was loveable and I can’t believe how it turned out for her. Trina, shame on her, she is just that chick that you look at and shake your head.

Every time I read this genre, I know the endings can’t always be perfect but the endings to some of these books that I love gets me riled up.

Length: 2156
Storyline: FAIR
Enjoyment: GOOD
Intimacy Level:VERY GOOD

Not to many authors can write a story book without just throwing things together. Keisha did good with this book. She got to the point without moving to fast or rushing the book. This book was funny but, yet sad all at once. I loved this book. Koran got back with the love of his life the one that got away 8 years ago Whitney. He wanted her needed her loved her but, she ran for a reason but, had to come back when she knew everything was ok. Whitney changed Koran in a good way. Koran changed for the better all the way up to the end he stood as a tall strong man for his daughter's stakes.
Have to say I totally loved this book. Love all of Keisha Ervin books.

This was a very touching story. As teenagers Whitney and Koran were lovers/friends, but one day Whitney and her family just disappeared without a good bye. Koran was left heartbroken and wondering what happened to his beloved Whitney. 8 years later they meet again and its like they never left each other. Whitney has come back with a secret and deep down she feels she should just leave Koran alone, but her heart wont let her and they began their journey once more. Just as it looks like they will finally have their Happily ever after, they are hit with another obstacle.

Loved this book. It was sad, and touched me deeply. Made me want to shed a few tears, reading what Whitney had to go through. I like that even though she'd passed away, Koran was letting Harlow know her mother. I didn't like Trina at all she was spiteful and only cared about herself. Love this author as well. She does lovely work.

This book was so good. It started when Koran met Whitney but he did not know why she was gone a long time. But later in the story, she told him she had cancer. What touch me in the book was when she shave her hair and Koran shave his beads. Whitney and Koran wanted to live forever but was bless with a baby. After that, there was tragedy and Whitney dies from her cancer. This book is a good book by Keisha Ervin, which I rarely her books.

Ok, finished this book late last night,, what can I say except that Keisha E is one of my favorite authors, a pure genius when it comes to the ink and paper, I loved this book for many reasons, for one it was truly inspirational, and a sad but great ending which is always a plus. It put me in the mind of a great movie I once saw called " A Walk to Remember". Loved it Keisha, plz come to Goodreads.

I finally got my hand on Keisha Ervin's "novella" and I must say I was moved to tears and became so emotional, that I didn't want to finish the book. This book evoked emotions that hit too close to home for me. All in all, great book :-)

This book was not what I expected. Not bad at all. A bit too short for my liking, however I was kind of glad it was not too long winded. I'd say it was more of a 2.5 than a 3, but it deserved more than a 2.

This book was short, but it was also one of the BEST books I've ever read. I was able to relate to the love that both characters had for each other.
