Mujeres del siglo XX

Rate this book

When I first saw this book I was really excited to read it since I admire all these women, and I did like it. You get to know how all these great women lives were. The truth is, that even though they had such genius minds, the were still women, and society managed to ruin their lives, because when you are a woman you have to be perfect, it is just so unfair.

On the other hand, having those genius minds did not bring only nice things. It is not hard to see this patterns in many artists, wether they are women or not. It seems like their minds are too much for this world. And I have always thought that art is the only thing that can save you from the cruel world, but for these women it was not enough.

To sum up, I consider this, a great reading to become aware of this situation we keep seeing currently and to keep this in mind when you are an artist or a philosopher, or just a woman who wants to succeed and at the same time be happy.
