The book was an okay read. This was more of a nostalgia read for me. I read the paperback version when I was in junior high school. I was drawn to the book because of the hint that a musical score was a major point in the plot. In reality, the score was not as important as I thought. I didn't recall any of the plot of this novel from when I read it the first time. But it was fun to revisit something I'd originally read decades ago.

The disappointing thing about this edition of this book was the typos. Although, the author is an English speaker, it felt as if someone who didn't read English edited the book. Many words were misspelled. There were grammatical errors. These were errors that we might see today with online blog posts or news articles, not something that was published in 1979.
