We enjoyed reading this chapter book together. I think our oldest is starting to outgrow this group of characters, but she humors us and our youngest still really likes them. We've read a few of the books in the Arthur Chapter Book series, but we haven't devoured them like we do other series. Our youngest really likes cats, so we picked this book out in particular. It is a good story and has a solid theme about helping out your friends, especially if in the case of a runaway ego.

In Buster Baxter Cat Saver, Buster saves a cat. He is famous and he gets a little to dramatic. I recommend this book to 6 year olds and of course grownups. P.s.,have a good time reading!

Buster gets big-headed over saving a cat. His friend find his constant bragging is getting old while Baxter find his time in the limelight deserved. Will his friends forgive him? Will Baxter come to his senses?

This children's book is an adaptation of the first half of Season 2, Episode 6 of Arthur, in which Buster saves a cat, becomes a local hero, and allows fame to get into his head...>

This is one of the few Arthur episodes that I still remember quite clearly, even to this day. So reading the book brought back a lot of memories. I really like that this story provides a clear message on how fame can give someone a big head and can change their behaviour for the worse. Being a 'famous' hero and having a large ego may not necessarily be a good thing!

Part of a personal challenge to read all of my boyfriend's and his sister's childhood books before we donate and give them away.

Buster is Arthur's friend and he saved a cat because his ice cream had fish sticks in. My favorite part was when it was in the newspaper. Auryn - 7yo

Is Buster a hero or not? Well, maybe... once he decides to be honest about it :)
