Only made it through the Inferno so far. But despite how disturbing it could be, I'm enjoying it. Good choice for Lenten readings. Not sure I get all his references, but I'm sure I can find a reference doc somewhere to clarify it for me.
Finished the Purgatorio. Unfortunately don't have this translation for Paradiso. Didn't like the second part as much as the first. It left me a little flat. Also, I have to say that the illustrations by Leonard Baskin are horrible and twisted and borderline obscene. This edition would have been much better without them. I found myself having to put my hand over parts of them while reading so that I didn't have a distorted nether yay-ya staring me in the face. That is just something you can't unsee unfortunately.
