I think every LDS member should read this. A fantastic practical application of the Atonement. I just read through it this time, but now I want to work through the book. Great applications and questions to help in self-discovery/honesty.

This book is changing my life. I've read every word in this manual and I am working very hard at the steps.

This is a lifelong progress and I plan on using this for life. I've been doing it for about 3 months and I am currently on step 9 of the 12 steps.

It is like learning how to use the Atonement of Christ in 12 baby steps.

It is a lot of work mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Through this work I am coming to peace in my life. I am so grateful for this inspired work.

My husband asked me why I was reading this and I shrugged my shoulders. He then said, "I think you're addicted to reading." Touche'.

That being said I'm glad I read it. I've always heard of the 12 step program, but never knew what the steps were. Now I do. I think this would be very helpful with addictions when people hit rock bottom.

Going through a rough patch in my life a couple of years ago, what I most commonly heard was “Rely on the Atonement/Jesus Christ.” I was frustrated; how exactly does one do that? No one would tell me!
Though I was not struggling with addiction of any kind, my friend suggested this program.
Here are basically the 12 Steps on How to Actually Apply the Atonement of Christ.
It wasn’t easy—took me a year and then some to finish—but it brought me greater mental and spiritual strength. Each step helps one to overcome their past in real, palpable ways. And in doing that, I was brought closer to my Savior.

"LDS Family Services Addiction Recovery Program: Guide to Addiction Recovery and Healing: Written with Support From Church Leaders and Counseling Professionals By Those Who Have Suffered From Addiction and Who Have Experienced the Miracle of Recovery"
As a missionary leading a support group I have read this book countless times. Other than the scriptures themselves, it is the BEST thing I have ever found to "come unto Christ."

When this recovery program first came out I had heard that it was recommended that all church members read it, whether suffering from an addiction or not. I finally read it and I wish I could have done so 25 years ago. Great program, great advice, highly recommended. (This is not the copy that I actually read. The version I read was included in my standard works bundle.)

This book is a life changer if you let it be. Addiction affects us all in many ways-these twelve steps that are adapted from the 12 steps of AA are essential to live and follow if you want to be clean of your addictions.

No, I'm not addicted to anything except chocolate and caffeine. However, I heard that this book is an excellent way to understand the power of the Atonement on a daily basis. I love how this book is helping me become who I want to be.

This book has been a great help to me. I don't have any addictions, well, maybe chocolate, but it was still a help in my own personal life.

As a taboo subject I was pleased to see this readily available. It is important for those struggling with addiction but also to help people comprehend those struggles better.

Take a real look at yourself. Sometimes we face hard things and that can be okay.
