Have you ever wondered why Nevada is the only state that allows prostitution, but has the most punitive marijuana laws? Did you prostitution is legal in all the counties in Nevada except in Law Vegas and Reno, where the big casinos are? This book examines the strange set of laws in Nevada. Here is the spoiler...it is all about money. The lawmakers of Nevada do not want tourists spending $50 on a prostitute when they could spend hundreds more gambling during that same amount of time. The same goes for marijuana. Purchasing pot would take away from gambling profits. It is a very interesting look at the motives behind our laws.
I know one of the authors of this book, Dr. John Cross who was a professor at Oklahoma State University.
