Loved trying to sound out the new language while reading each page and lifting the flaps to see if predictions were accurate. We laughed over some of the words, and marveled when we recognized the French influence on the Creole words. Makes me want to explore that language further.
Felt the ending was a little jarring, though it leaves space for your child to predict where the story will end. We went with "probably staying up all night and bouncing on the bed" because that child did NOT look sleepy in the least. :)
