The movie star and comedian answers a variety of questions and offers comic personal advice and practical solutions, as well as a generous selection of anecdotes from his show business career
Popular American comedian acted George Burns, originally Nathan Birnbaum from 1922 teamed with Gracie Allen, his wife, to 1958; after her death, he in dramatic roles won an Academy Award for The Sunshine Boys (1975).
Career of this writer spanned vaudeville, film, radio, and television. His familiar arched eyebrow and cigar smoke punctuation lasted for more than three quarters of a century. He enjoyed a career resurrection that began in the 1975 and continued through his death.
Very funny and clever letters written to George Burns. He tries ( chuckle) to answer them in a practical way with a dash of humor thrown in for good measure. I haven't read any of his books or thought much about him in a few years. So this was a fun read and good book to pick up at a book sale supporting a tiny library in NH. Glad I bought it and will be happy to put it in a little free library for other to enjoy. J.
Total wonderfulness! I heard his voice, delivery and timing with each word. He even had photos of his favorite vaudeville stars. And there was one writer who kept sending updates on a problem….incredibly enjoyable…a total joy of a book!!
