I feel like this is more of an overview of Hollywood than anything else. There's some good information in it, a few good pictures, but overall, most of it was nothing new or fascinating. It doesn't go into much detail about anything, making it more of an extended outline than a book. And for a piece that covers years 1919-1941, it doesn't spend very much time talking about the 20s and the major growth that was going on in Hollywood at that time, and seems more focused on the Great Depression years. Overall, I'm a little disappointed, but it's a good overview of early Hollywood, nothing more.
