A Divine Revelation of Heaven
PLOT: In essence, the plot is about Mary Baxter getting called from Jesus to go on a 30-day tour of hell (different book) and a 10-day tour of Heaven. (HMM)

MY THOUGHTS
STRENGTHS:
*On one hand, this book depicts the most beautiful imagery of Heaven. It's just like something right out of a dream. We get this painted picture of exquisite marble mansions, pearl gates, constant praises filling the air like music, and the sounds of beautiful instrumental melodies being played. Everything (the atmosphere and the people) are filled with joy, peace, and perfection and everyone has a purpose. There are angels that rejoice and are always demonstrating the Lord's love for us.
*You could definitely envision this place through the power of her words and be won over and think WOW! This is definitely where I wanna be and what I wanna see when this earthly life has ended! She does paint an amazing picture!

CRITICISMS
*But here's where my praise gets thin.
*As I was reading this beautifully written story a little feeling in the back of mind begin to pop up called doubt of the believability of this story. Yes, I am a Christian and I do believe in Heaven. I also believe that God sometimes accomplishes things through people. But it's kind of a stretch for me to believe that Jesus so strongly needed Mary Baxter to record in a book what Heaven is like when it's already recorded in Revelations.
*A lot of times I found myself wondering if she's just taken the scriptures (because her scripture references are very accurate to what she's describing in the sights she saw) and spun them and embellished this fantastic tale.
*She seemed to go to lengths in this book assuring us that this was the purpose of Jesus showing her what Heaven was like. So she could record it all and come back and share it with us. As if we believers would really need any persuasion from her. Thus the book's believability is wonky so to speak.
*I do know that Jesus has presented before people just like he did the Disciples when he came back after he died on the cross but did he take this lady on a 30-day tour of hell and a 10-day tour of Heaven to get us to believe in Heaven and Hell? Umm. Ok. Not buying it!
*If she did that just to make a profit and sell this book I think that's a SHAME! She even goes so far in her story to quote supposed things Jesus said.
*Did the events of this book *really* happen? I suppose only Mary Baxtor and Jesus know for sure. But if they didn't I have no words.

Rating: I'm not even sure what to rate this. As far as descriptiveness and content go it's a 10. But if all this is falsified it's an O. Feels like I should call it "a beautiful lie" because I'm sorry something just won't let me believe the accuracy of this.

Divine Revelation of Heaven reminded me of John's account in the book of Revelation where he is sent to an island in a dream, there he began to see visions of God and the coming of the end of the world. Mary Baxter talks about her experience of Heaven and how she hears children laughing and singing. She paints a vivid picture of what she sees in heaven. This made me as a reader feel as if I were there and that the presence of God was so tangible. She described every detailed from the tears of those who cried out to God from the earth that the angels saw to the sounds of the flowers blowing in the breeze of God's glory. Though we as the audeince do not know if this was fact or fiction encounter it was a good read. This writer helped me to step out of my comfort zone and use different styles of writing.

I read this book in one sitting, it’s a very fast read and a lot of it is redundant. The letters are big and there are a lot of scripture passages filling out the book. There is a lot of fluff in this book. I’m sure that the revelation could have fit in a pamphlet instead of a book but I suppose she has to sell the book instead of giving out a pamphlet.

Everything she described is taken completely from the bible. She doesn’t describe anything that isn’t already in the bible so why even read this book? It really annoys me that she says that Heaven is so active and that the saints and angels of the Lord are always doing something but she only describes them with books or trumpets. Heaven is busy all the time but she doesn't describe what they do all the time. I don’t know how many times I read, “Oh, the beauty of heaven”, like over and over again.

The major points of information are:

Heaven is beautiful.

There is a tears room in heaven where the tears are poured over a book that is later sent to God and where He proceeds to tear the passage out and give them to angels as assignments in answer to people's prayers.
What if someone cannot cry because they feel numb from the pain? She says that the best prayers are the ones in tears.

There is a room of records (treasury) that states what churches do with the tithe and how much people give and with the attitude they give.
They always use the example of the woman that gives all she has to the church, meanwhile, the church should be helping the poor woman. There is never an emphasis of giving to the poor but that there is no excuse for the poor not to give money to the church. Protestants sure know how to pick and choose their passages. They always look for the prosperity passages and ignore the charity ones. She sure talks about giving money to the church a lot. Saints, be aware that every time you give money, every time you pay tithes, everything you do for the glory of God is recorded in heaven. I remember this so well because when the Lord showed me His mighty glories and powers, it made an impression that will never be erased from my mind." I believe that everything that is recorded in heaven, not just how much money you give a pastor.

There are books in heaven and I quote, "There were also books everywhere, as well as many other things. " Please note that she described heaven as very bureaucratic, and I quote, "Sometimes the angels would have books in which they had been writing. They would go to certain areas in heaven with these reports. Then the reports would be logged in books, to keep records for the saints' rewards."
Saint rewards is a very protestant teaching about doing thing here on earth for treasures in heaven, not because of love, but for material rewards. I quote, "When you go to heaven, you will be rewarded for whatever you do for Jesus Christ's sake. This is why I write this book."

There is a storehouse with blessings for people here on Earth.

Babies that die on Earth are suddenly transformed into grown adults.

That's pretty much it. Nothing new. Nothing you don't already know.

To be honest, I believe that Mary Baxter lied for the "greater good" and this account of heaven is her interpretation of bible scriptures. The rhetoric is too familiar to me, it is the bible belt, protestant propaganda that is heard in every protestant church.

A friend loaned me this book, recommending it. Years ago, as a child and teen, I went through a period where I was really "into" books about people who'd "visited" heaven and come back. This is in that genre.

I can't really give this a star rating. If God really did appear to Mary Baxter and take her to heaven for a visit (and prior to that, for several tips to hell), it's a definite 5. I'm just not sure though. If you're into heaven books, I wouldn't start with this one. There aren't a lot of details and there is tons of repetition; I think the author struggled to try to reach her 200-page goal. Everything she "saw" lines up with Bible verses. Could God have taken her to heaven and hell? Sure. Did he? Not sure.

A good thing about this type of book is that it always motivates me to prioritize living for Christ. She mentions that God loves it when we praise Him, and we should do that much more. She mentions angels following us around on earth, noting our deeds and recording them in heaven. I know our salvation isn't dependent on works, but still, that motivates me to try to do better in my Christian walk.

In researching the author, I read that she died just last week. I'm happy that she is now experiencing heaven eternally.

I had heard about this book from a co-worker, and at the time I was on a bit of a religious kick. So I got the book and I was amazed. I don't think it took me very long at all to read. I remember reading it thinking of the mysteries of God and how life works. Mary Baxter didn't ask to be shown these things, and the strain that it put on her life had to be great.

Now I have read reviews where they think that Mrs. Baxter is a liar and that she made this all up but I think that it's almost to crazy to not be true.

Overall I think it was a good book, it was quite eye opening also. I do want to read Divine Revelation of Hell but I have to be in the right mind set to read it. What this book did to me mentally I can't even imagine what will happen when I read the next one.

I don't remember too many specifics but I do remember being awed by the magnitude of what she was saying. I think that for some this book may be hard to swallow, but I think the majority of people can appreciate this book. Even if you don't agree with what she is saying and how she says it happened I would hope that it's something that would make you stand back and think about it.

A very good book !!
This book has connection with book with title "HEAVEN is so real" by Choo Thomas.
It prove that Heaven is really so real.
Because Lord JESUS HIMSELF show HIS children about heaven and want them to testify to the world.
HE wants all human to come to heaven and no one will perish. So, if you know that you will go to heaven, you must life obedient , faithful and true. The most important thing is to accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

I own a copy of this book, however, I tend to write notes in my books, so I wouldn't recommend that you read mine.

Anyway, LOVED this book. Currently it's in my sister's possession, otherwise I'd be referring to it every now and again. Every heavenly experience in this book is backed up by scripture. The visions are remarkable and TRUE. I dare you not to close each chapter without a wearing a goofy grin.

Wonderfully written. Like her other story A divine revelation of hell it coincides with a similar account of someone else who has been to heaven which lends some credibility to her account. I could not put this done as the description of heaven and the ministry of angels was so awe-inspiring that I could not help but smile. All you saints who have accepted Christ Rejoice for if she is right we have a grand home to return to.

I am always on a quest looking for good books on heaven and hell. Mary Baxter is one of the best so far! Her heaven experience was so refreshing. I do my research on the authors who claim to have experienced heaven or hell and she is backed by Marilyn Hickey of Denver Colorado and Pastor Yung E Cho who has the worlds largest church in Korea.

Mary K. Baxter went somewhere and met some spirits but she did not go to Hell or Heaven and did not meet God and the Lord Jesus. Her story sounds fabricated. Most of her observations are simply copied from descriptions recorded in the Bible (with at least one or two big exceptions - more about that later). The vast majority of her observations contain this or a similar phrase: "It was beyond my capacity to describe." So few details were offered beyond Biblical descriptions and quotes. However, there were a couple of exceptions to this. In one scene she saw angels with buckets of Jesus's blood - the angels dipped a cloth into the buckets and then wiped it on a book that recorded the sins of saved persons in order to wipe away their sins. In another vision she saw the Rapture and saw all the bodies of saved individuals filling up "the body of Christ, which was lying on its back while blood dripped to the earth". In order to get into the body the people "climbed up a staircase to the body and filled it, beginning with the feet." Baxter views everything from her hypercharismatic theology and amazingly everything in Heaven matches this view. She misuses Scripture. In one section she uses a verse about Cyrus to back up her vision of seeing her name on a book in Heaven. Her story rings untrue, reveals her need for importance and fame, and supports a dangerous reliance on visits from "angels". Avoid this book and author.

Years ago i read the book “A Divine Revelation of Hell” by this author and I remember thinking it was so good! But that was 1997 and a coworker gave me this book last week. So there’s 28 years between when I read the first one and I’ve read this one. Maybe it’s because I’m older, maybe it’s because I’ve experienced life a lot more now than I did back then, but I found this book to be very repetitive. The author repeated numerous times that she was taken to the throne of God and I’m not saying she wasn’t. But every time she said something, she would follow it up with “just like John wrote” ( in the book of Revelation). Because of this, it made it difficult for me to believe the things she said. Also, I was taught that when we pass away, we are asleep until Jesus calls us to Him in the clouds. I know the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And I believe we ARE with Him, I just believe that He puts us to sleep until then. Also, the author said that she saw families together and I know that the Bible says we will be known in heaven as we were known on Earth but there’s no marriage in heaven. I am not disputing what she saw or was told because I wasn’t there and it’s not for me to say. I am just saying that way she described it was not 100% believable.

While there is no doubt in my mind that hell does exist, I'm not quite sure if I believe that this was an actual experience. All of the experiences listed within the book could be referenced from the bible and fictional characters were most likely created by the author. (This may run contrary to popular opinion, however, it was the strong impression that I got while reading). I definitely recommend the book for anyone who is an unbeliever and has ever been curious about the reality of hell - it's definitely an eye-opener whether fictional or not, as it is congruent with everything written within the scriptures. I'd recommend reading it without taking all of the experiences described within at face value

Let the glory of the Lord rise among us

What a book that was purposely orchestrated from the Throne of Glory it was a great read and a awesome contrast to the divine revelation of Hell if we search ourselves we will hear the spirit of God speaking to us drawing Us near to him I thank God for This Woman's Work and her obedience to the will of God I can't wait to read more books thank you Lord for your Revelation to your children. To those who may read this if you do not know the Lord in the part of your sin come to him he is waiting to accept you with open arms and love God bless you all

read this book during a time where I was scared of what the Lord was letting me go through spiritually. God let me read this book and it really is of God. This is such an encouragement and want to encourage you to know: don't be afraid of dying. Be afraid of God in the godly type of way. because what is scary is not having Christ as Lord and Savior and then dying and being in Hell then in the lake of fire for ever. Never to come out. Thank you God and the Father in Jesus name for this book. Thank you Jesus.

Again one of the book written by Mary K Baxter and I thought I would be reading something really good. However, I didn't find the feel of Heaven as she describes it in this book then I did when she wrote the book of HELL. That book you can feel the fear of HELL. Again a bit disappointed. However, I did enjoy the last few chapters of the book as she describes the new world is coming, the return of Christ and the Lord's final plea.

This was a very interesting book to read about heaven! The author gives a lot of Scriptures through out the book that I enjoyed reading. The author talks a lot about angels and their service to God. Through reading this book I was motivated and encouraged to , even when I am tired and have other things I want to do on Sunday , that it is important to God that I go to church and tithe and do it wholeheartedly. I also was encouraged to pray more and do everything I do for the glory of God.

A truly captivating read that offers profound insights into Heaven. Mary shared some amazing things about how Heaven works and moves. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and learned a great deal from the Scriptures she shared. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about what the Scriptures say about Heaven.
