I believe, like Mom always said, that life is too short to spend a lot of time reading nonfiction.
But this is one of those books I'll pull out every few years, set on my bedside table, and slowly reabsorb in between novels. It isn't often that you can use the phrases, "great read" and "book of theology" in the same sentence, but true words when it comes to Righteous Sinners. This is probably the third time I've read this book, and it won't be the last. As far as I'm concerned, it should be required reading for everyone who considers themselves a Jesus follower, and it was recently re-released as an e-book, which makes it even easier to get a copy.
It took a while to get going, but overall this is a sound treatment of sin, justification, sanctification and the believer's right attitude toward himself and his God.
