The Secret Language of Destiny

Rate this book
This indispensable astrological text addresses the question we all ask at some point during the course of our "What is the purpose of my life?" It identifies, based on birthdate, what, on a soul level, someone came into this lifetime to achieve, in other words, their karmic signature. Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elffers take the reader on a spiritual quest around the astrological galaxy that culminates in a sense of purpose and truth.

In addition to the great inter-personal benefits, this book also contains thousands of tidbits of information regarding the astrological signs of actors, musicians, and world leaders.

"The Secret Language of Destiny is one of three books written by Goldschneider that I really appreciate when it comes to Astrology - which I truly believe in. This one however is a little bit more deep and as such it is more Universal than most may not be quite the read for most people since destiny is different per person. The outline for destiny int his book is extremely detailed and in all will not appeal to everyone since one's destiny is actually going to be told on a general basis to a quarter of a page.

I myself am very interested in reading my other friends when it comes to their destiny and the intricate and detailed way of finding such a thing is very complicated to some that this book in general may even overwhelm. There are so many different karmic paths, then there are your years born, then there is alignments, and so on. All and all, this is an advanced book to be used for those who understand astrology but there are other books out there for those who do not understand it per se to the level like I do or an astrologist does."

This is the first of the series that I have read, and I found it randomly searching through the psychology section. I read the destiny of all my family members and best friends and was AMAZED at how similar their reading was compared to my views on their personalities. My dad just turned 55 yesterday and my family read his and it was seriously a TRIP. It explained a life and destiny that he has already completed. My brothers was 100% his personality. There is room for error and differences between each persons destiny because you are given a 2-3 page explanation that is for a karmic path of a span of 2-4 months.

Love this book, and am considering purchasing it. The north/south node (or Rahu/Ketu in Vedic astrology) are hugely important indicators of life's purpose, vulnerabilities, and places of fated growth + letting go. While other books break these nodes down to general axis points ex. South Node Virgo/North Node Pisces, this book narrows them into the degrees (or actual dates) for more clarity. It was shelved in the teen section of my library, but it's a sophisticated reference for astrologers, or just enthusiasts.

This describes karmic life paths and I found it to be very accurate and interesting. Mine was "Resolve," from Aquarius II to Leo II, and I definitely found it to be on point. It was interesting evaluating the life paths of others as well and seeing where people intersected.

Because it focused on every single birthday,it didn't do a good job of thoroughly explaining each. Each birthday just a blurb, many of them negative. There are much better ways of understanding one's birthday, and it's not worth it to buy this book.

Not as fun as the other two in this series of books. Pretty vague with more generalities than the others.

Explains what we are supposed to be doing on a karmic level while we are here on Earth. Great read would recommend to everyone.
